They are now playing better football now that it does not matter any longer. It is now clear that mikel is a major weak link in that team.

Nigerians should learn to appreciate what is good. The Lagos state government under the leadership of Fashola has made immense progress in less than 3 years and should be commended.

Webmasters › Re: Must I Pay 350k For A .com.ng Domain by abhosts(m): 2:40pm On Jan 21, 2010
This is not about the Web World but about NIRA. In other parts of the World, you would not have been able to register the domain in the first place because names like that would be placed out of limits by the registry system.

Be that as it may, rules are rules. If the name is worth that much to you, then proceed with the purchase. If not, dash them. grin

Wow!!!

I went on a short visit to China about a Year ago and I must confess that it is a very nice place in general. The people were generally nice and friendly. I was treated very well even when my Nigerian Nationality was obvious.

Why do Nigerians like messing up the goodwill others extend to them?

99.9% of Nigerian CEOs are guilty in this regard. Most of them float front firms to benefit from most of the juicy contracts awarded by their respective companies.

Marriage is not overrated. Most people simply marry for the wrong reasons and motives hence ending up in failed marriages.

What Nigeria needs is young men like Abdul Farouq Muttalab who are ready to denounce family ties and die for their beliefs. AFM, you will hear no further criticism from this username.

Career › Re: GTBank Vs Zenith Bank by abhosts(m): 9:40am On Dec 21, 2009
As a customer of both banks, GTB use to be much better in the past. But since their customer base started to grow exponentially, the quality of their service delivery went the opposite direction. As for Zenith, it appears that most of their customer service people always try to form "big girl" levels; they are not down to earth like their counterparts at GTB.

Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Police Chief Blames Nigerians For South African Drug Problems by abhosts(m): 6:32pm On Dec 14, 2009

Because it is easier to pic on people you deem weaker than you.

On one of my many trips to SA. We came across two zimbabwean women who were literally kept as sex slaves in a township just outside johanesburg. Their captors were SA men using them as house girls and the such. The women had no choice in this matter. He slept with them on demand and they also prostituted to feed his drug addiction. One of the two women had a baby for these unscrupulous touts. the baby looked quite retched and was tested for HIV. He was positive. Meanwhile the father was no where to be found when he discovered we were around.

The next incidence was assitance we rendered some foreign reporters who were investigating child abduction and prostitution rings in the country. Most of the culprits that smuggled the girls across the border from zimbabwe and mozambic into the country were SA men and women. These girls were kept in half way houses as young as 16 hoping to enter the bigger cities in the form of waiteresses and dancer/prostitution.

Some of the women used these girls as income, selling them off to the highest bidder9some white men including) in exchange for money. In all my time there out of 15 cases we investigated only one was run by a nigerian syndicate.

Now not to be bias or excuse the act but the girls we encountered amongst the Nigerians were actually better treated than their counter parts. These ones had "shakara" in their body, looked healthier, Most tested less for HIV infection and most let us know they had money stashed somewhere.

Please you people should stop fooling yourself. Nigerians are scapegoats in SA.
Please read the article properly. The guy never said Nigerians were responsible for all the crimes in SA.
Foreign Affairs › Re: South Africa Police Chief Blames Nigerians For South African Drug Problems by abhosts(m): 5:53pm On Dec 14, 2009
I got an email this morning from an IT service provider based in India. I have been patronizing them for about 2 years to date.

In the last 3 days, we have received multiple police complainst aginst domains registered through Nigerian resellers. All
these domains are involved in criminal activity like Phishing.

Because of this we have been asked by the Authorities to stop NIgerian resellers.
Its unfortunate but there is not much we can do about this.
