Politics › Re: Atiku To Contest In 2007 Presidential Election - Supreme Court by abhosts(m): 11:20pm On Apr 16, 2007
Nigerians are the most optimistic people on earth. So despite the daylight robbery of last Saturday, that most people refer to as elections, you guys still think that OBJ can conduct a free and fair presidential election?

100 Atikus or Buharis cannot stop PDP from stealing next Saturday’s election. In the case of oyo state where I am presently, an eye witness with inside knowledge of the final results of the guber elections said that The ANPP won when the results were collated. But something else was announced.

So it’s not about who wins. I personally think that Buhari will carry the popular vote, but it is our emperor (OBJ) that will determine who the winner will be.

The case of Ibadan was so pathetic, that even armed soldiers assisted the thugs in carrying ballot boxes. A particular phone-in program was inundated with various ordeals that voters had to suffer to cast their votes.

I am in Ibadan Presently and I can say authoritatively that Obasanjo is the greatest disaster that has ever happened to Nigeria. Thugs were having a filled day during the voting process, going around killing and maiming Innocent voters, while the police looked the away. Despite all the intimidation, voters voted massively for The ANPP candidate, Abiola Ajimobi.

However, the whole state was thrown into a sober mood, when PDP\'s INEC Announce that Akala won the election. If this result is allowed to stand, we might as well give up on democracy.
Politics › Re: Is Atiku Abubakar Corrupt? by abhosts(m): 9:10pm On Feb 22, 2007
If Nigerians should dear make the mistake and vote for Atiku on Sentimental basis, this would only take us back another 100 years.

It is unfortunate that a crook like Atiku can play on the collective intelligence of millions of Nigerians. We all forget in a hurry the Pentascope scam which was a 100% Atiku show, of which Nitel May Never Recover. If you happen to hear the story of many Abuja contractors during Atiku’s time in charge of the presidency (During Obasanjo’s first term), one would wonder how such a human being like that can still aspire for the presidency.

We need a new direction in Nigeria. The AC and the PDP are all siblings of the same parent. They are not the solution to Nigeria’s lingering problems.
Investment › Re: Transcorp Po Finally Opens At 7.50! Opinions? by abhosts(m): 10:14am On Jan 03, 2007
Did I hear someone say NITEL/MTEL? On a million occasions Transcorp failed to meet the payment deadline to acquire 75% of the company. They have also been unsuccessful at resolving the issue of  pensions and gratuities of the company staff. Only recently, Dangote and most of the bank chiefs that were onboard resigned.

To many stock lovers, this looks like a great prospect, but I am skeptical. Now what if the AC/ANPP Alliance wrests power from the PDP in the April elections , what will become of Transcorp? Your guess is as good as mine.

Now this company is shrouded in so much controversy. More or less like buying PDP shares.

If it has no risk and challenges, then it’s not a business. If you don’t want any risk on your investment, kindly leave it in the bank. You will be lucky to get an interest of about 8% yearly.  grin

Webmasters › Nigerian Web Designers Have Come Of Age. by abhosts(op): 7:26pm On Dec 29, 2006
Hi guys,

After stumbling upon this Website, it occurred to me that Nigerian Web Designers can hold their own anywhere in world. The quality of this Website layout is startling.

Widescreen? You wish! I think he is trying to start small. Your best bet for cheap Soccer channel subscription will be Cable TV. The charges of DSTV is so Exorbitant, if you choose them, you will struggle to remain in business. Find out if you have competent Cable TV operators in your locality. Some Cable TV operators will give you premium soccer channels for as low as N2,100 per month.
Business › Are Gsm Promos Staged? by abhosts(op): 12:03pm On Dec 29, 2006
The unrealistic spate in which companies in Nigeria, especially the GSM Operators carry out their promos raises more questions than answers. Are theses promos simply theatrical? The stark revelations of the accounting fraud that took place in Cadbury attests to the fact that most Nigeria conglomerates are frauds.

Presently the whole nation is awash with different promos from all the GSM operators, one of them even promising as high as 15 million naira in price money. I find it mystifying that despite their insidious publicity of winners,  how come one never runs into any major winner. Really, lets face it, if these winners are not phantoms, how come we don’t find them in our neighborhoods, Churches, Schools, Places of Work, Communities, etc.

I simply have a lot of reasons to believe that some people are playing on the collective intelligence of the Nigeria people, since there is no way to independently verify there bogus claims.

Just thinking out Loud.
Business › Re: Making Use Of Ebay by abhosts(m): 7:24pm On Dec 19, 2006
That will be a rock solid initiative, talking about Ebay in Nigeria. Unfortunately, Our online reputation is so embarrassing. Any Trace of Nigeria in any monetary transaction, be it IP Address, Billing Address or Shipping Address, sends shivers down the spine of the oyinbo man.
Business › Re: Is Celtel Making Life Better Or Miserable? by abhosts(m): 6:40pm On Dec 19, 2006
This is not a problem that is peculiar with Celtel. All the other GSM operators have similar problems. The Moment the Federal Government Banned the importation of recharge cards, this ugly trend was born. Nigerian Manufacturers are renowned for producing substandard goods and recharge cards are no exceptions.

Why not use the Vcharge Option to stop this Trend.
