@poster,

Are you referring to Slot Limited, the phone dealers? Why not provide the URL.
Webmasters › Re: Planning To Go Back To Nigeria Need Your Opinion by abhosts(m): 10:26am On Feb 18, 2009
If you have opted for the employee career path in Nigeria and you are under 30, I don't thing the NYSC option can be circumvented. Be that as it may, you might want to come and see things for yourself before you make up your mind. Nigeria is a land of so many opportunities and a degree is not really a pre-requisite for you to make legit millions.

I wish you the best in your endeavors.

Webmasters › Re: Web Review by abhosts(m): 2:19pm On Feb 08, 2009
I don't know if it is just my observation. Why does this guy always put up a single (mostly incomplete) web page design for review?
Properties › Re: Modern Interiors by abhosts(m): 1:24pm On Feb 06, 2009
How do you intend to get them into Nigeria? The last time I checked, Finished Furniture was a banned item by the Nigerian customs.

Now I am more than convinced that this bigmodo guy is just having fun. He is obviously not a die hard want-away as many people have come to think.

Your parents will kill you for being pregnant for your Fiancee?

Your Fiancee will kill you for not Aborting his Child?

Even Agatha Christie will be green with envy at your fictional writing prowess.

On my first try, I used the 500 per day package to download a 20MB file and browse and it lasted for a couple of hours.
Webmasters › Nairaland Now Serving Pop-up Ads? by abhosts(op): 11:00am On Jan 27, 2009
Is is just me or is nairaland now serving pop-up ads? Visiting nairaland now gives me the extra task of closing pop-up windows as i navigate from page to page.

Pretty strange for a non-warez forum.
Politics › Re: Police Parade Goat As Robbery Suspect In Kwara! by abhosts(m): 1:44am On Jan 24, 2009
Things like this are usually very hard to believe but they are real. It is indeed very possible for a human being to transform into an animal with the aid of demonic spirits. Events like this are usual occurences in many rural parts of Nigeria.
Politics › Re: Fashola Shuts Aswani Market by abhosts(m): 9:24am On Jan 23, 2009
Fashola has said that Lagos will become tough for those who have no business being in Lagos. It is Intriguing that some people have translated that statement through the lens of tribal sentiments.

After all has been said and done, there is no doubt that Fashola is probably the best public servant Nigeria has ever had. How I wish the governors of other states would be 10% as effective as Fash.
Technology Market › Re: Price Of Nokia Phones In Nigeria by abhosts(m): 10:57am On Jan 17, 2009
Please stop calling those phones "USED". The right word to use is "STOLEN" phones; Because that is the case 90 percent of the time.

It is the licentious desire of Nigerians to buy original expensive phones for peanuts that makes the phone theft industry a booming one.
Webmasters › Re: World Class Macromedia Flash Developer? by abhosts(m): 6:50pm On Jan 16, 2009
For your information, it is no longer "Macromedia Flash". It has stopped being that for some years.
Travel › Re: How Do I Use My Glo And Mtn Sim While In London by abhosts(m): 6:42pm On Jan 14, 2009
Simply conduct a network search with your Nigerian sim. All available networks will be listed when the search is complete. Choose any of the networks that has a roaming agreement with your sim card provider and that is it.

There is a charge to make and receive calls. So if you a Prepaid customer, make sure you load your phone with enough funds before you leave Nigeria.

My guess is: Gani want some attention, as always. Just think for a minute "who has ever rejected an honour such as the OFR?" This is history in the making!
Gani is not making any history in this regard. Chinua Achebe also rejected the National honour during Obasanjo's Regime.

Christianity Etc › Re: Why Is It That Witches, Wizards And Demons Never Attack Atheist? by abhosts(m): 8:34pm On Dec 14, 2008
Some responses this thread has received reminds me of a true life story that occurred somewhere in western Nigeria.

A well “educated” man was in a land dispute with some of his kinsmen. He shrugged all threats he received aside and decided to build a house on the disputed land. One day, he arrived at his piece of land to discover a fetish looking object on the land. Since he did not believe in stuff like that, he simply kicked the Juju out of his land and carried on with his business.

A few days later, the same leg that kicked the Juju started swelling mysteriously. He now sought the attention of medical doctors that he had so much faith in, but the best of western medicine could not proffer a solution to his strange infirmity that eventually led to his untimely demise.

So to all those that think that what you don’t believe in cannot harm you; continue to bask in naivety.

Webmasters › Re: Estdomains Denied Accreditation by abhosts(m): 5:53pm On Nov 13, 2008
@smartsoft,

There is no reason to get panicky. All domains will remain active. They will be transferred in bulk to another ICANN Registrar. The only problem is that no one knows what the pricing of the receiving registrar will look like. Estdomains was so darn cheap.
Webmasters › Re: I Am Ready To Pay You N300 Per Dollar: by abhosts(m): 3:37pm On Oct 28, 2008
If your need was that urgent, you should have opted for Zenith's Web Surfer MasterCard. It is usually activated and ready for use within 24 hours. Have you also considered patronizing a Nigerian Host? Some Nigerian Hosts now meet international standard.

gtb has introduced collection of transaction fees see letter s[img][/img] below
this was sent to my mailbox although some other users said they received no such email
the reason is that they were bearing the charges initially but now can pass it to the customers
Transaction fees do not apply when you use your card online. That notice is for those who withdraw from GTB's MasterCard at an ATM or spend at a store via a POS.

Webmasters › Re: 000webhost Free Hosting,how Reliable Are They? by abhosts(m): 1:02pm On Oct 20, 2008
000webhost has got a very bad reputation on cyberspace. A lot of their affiliates have even gone as far as reporting them to the FBI, because they do not remit a dime to their affiliates after they have refer so much customers to them. When pay day arrives, they simply suspend your affiliate account for spurious reasons. Investigations have revealed that the scheme is run by some crooks based in Lithuania.
