Why is it possible that one could still hear when the ears are carefully covered?

I tried covering my ears because of noise, I noticed I still hear the noise though faintly, why?

Again I was in a public vehicle and the breeze outside was thick and stiff that it almost spoil my ear because I sat close to the window I had to cover it with my hands yet I could still hear things somehow.

Does it mean one can't cover his ears so as not to hear again?

My problem is they won't still keep the toilets in prestine conditions even if we pay to use it, after some time it will go from white to brown then you start seeing funny colours on it.
It's always like that in every public toilets except the ones at the airports.

And you want to use restroom they ask you to pay? Is that supposed to be so? Besides the buses no longer put on ACs, especially Ajah routes most times we ride without ac plus no WiFi in the buses like the op stated.

So he as a dead man could hear those alive? Then what stops him from hearing thier discussion before taking him away or knowing that they weren't taking him out of the village?

Sometimes thier breaks won't be in prestine condition or the dealers would have covered a lot of faults, most of the errors would have be wiped off even the dashboard won't show those errors again because they would just delete them and force them to stop working.
God help us, when I look at most cars people drive I used to shudder.
Drive somebody's car you will be shocked and surprised same time because the person have been managing the car like that and will most likely sell it like that to the next unfortunate person
