HI all, I requested for my six month payslip from the office and realised that all the 6 payslips carry today's date even though it specifies the different months (e.g. november 2015, december 2015, ...) Is that ok to submit with my application? Also could someone post a sample letter of introduction from a place of work? |
How long does it normally take between when payment is made and an available submission date ? |
justwise:@justwise Okay. Many thanks |
justwise:@justwise they actually do. Looked up my bank statement from august till date . The monies were paid monthly in my account via bank transfer except in november and december when a cash deposit was made by my parents. I've been to the UK 11 times in the last 5 years and also been to the schengen zone 4 times in the last one year . In addition I studied in the UK on two different tier 4 visas the last of which expired in january 2015. The challenge am having now is that my parents sponsored all these trips as I submitted their bank statements and all. However am going to have to sponsor myself this time around using my bank statement that's why am making as much enquiries as possible to avoid wasting the visa application fee. Many thanks justwise |
justwise:@justwise ok. But in my own case I receive a fixed amount monthly as allowance from my parents in addition to my takehome salary of 104k monthly. What evidence can I show to back the monthly deposit of 100k from my dad and 200-300k from my mum? |
justwise:@justwise what sought of paper evidence could he have shown to backup the deposits into his account ? |
abnot: Many thanks @FrontPageLawyer. On the other hand is my list complete? If I may ask what could serve as proof of funds ? The said amount is transferred monthly to my account by a family member (either father or mother ) bearing the same surname with me . |
EggPlant:Hey , please what documents did you submit to support your application ? |
FrontPageLawyer:So £600 for flight Hotel for 5 days (Easter break ) in Edinburgh (£250) Miscellaneous £400 Total £1,250 Note : Been to UK 11 times in the last 5 years though I was a student then . This will be my first application as a non student . The extra 100K comes from my parents (either dad or mum deposits it at the end of each month) |
Many thanks @FrontPageLawyer. On the other hand is my list complete? -Application form -Travel Passport -Bank statement (Salary account with salary of 103k monthly and 100k monthly from another source) -job offer letter -Letter of introduction from employer -hotel booking ![]() |
Good morning all, with respect to the general visit visa application, I will like to know what else to submit in the absence of payslips... The company I work for does not issue out payslips . |
Hi people, as the company i work out does not issue pay slips, will it be fine if i submit only my bank account statement and offer letter to meet the finance conditions of my C-visit visa application ? |
travelland:Okay. Thanks. However as a working adult don't you think it will be hard to justify why my dad should sponsor my trip ? |
Pattybaby87:Since you have just returned from studies am assuming your tier 4 visa is valid till january 2016. If you havent graduated you may as well return with the tier 4 visa |
I have just completed the NYSC and currently still working where I served earning 25k monthly. On the other hand, I have been receiving 100k monthly from my dad as well as 30k from my senior sister making my minimum monthly income to be 155k. These monies have been paid to me monthly since i returned to nigeria following my graduation in december 2014. Prior to now I have been issued 5 UK visas over the last five years (three C-visit visas and 2 tier-4 visas) and have made 11 entries to the UK between 2010 and now. In addition, I have been issued three schengen visas over the last 18 months and have visited France, Holland, Germany , Spain(twice) and Portugal over the last one year. However, I wish to visit the UK for christmas and will like to seek your advice on how to present my finances as I have three sources of income monthly (PPA stipend, allowance from my dad and allowance from my sis). Lastly , I have a bank balance of 800K built over time as debit and credit transactions has been taking place on my account over time |

urchbarbie:What's this statement of account for? |
sojiboy:Bro I will advice that you wake up to the challenge that awaits the typical Nigerian graduate. Learn from others and don't get carried away by NYSC. On my part I used the NYSC year to secure a contract job, got a request letter and have been working 8am to 6pm gaining work experience and hoping to launch my career at the said firm. |
Lol will it be used during CDS or they will deploy it at all PPA's. My PPA Doesn't even have a computer . Wonder if NYSC will be able to deploy a biometric system in all PPA's. |
What time on Sunday does the verification end ? |
I believe that there is no single rule applicable to all individuals. Having earned a bachelors degree in the United States and a masters in the UK , I returned home to work and landed a job within 2 months. One thing I noticed within my first two months was the frequency at which I was invited for interviews basically every week. Despite landing about 6-7 interviews, I was only able to secure one offer but was afforded the opportunity to interact with many Nigerian trained graduates and made the following observations : 1. Many Nigerian graduates did not appear as graduates to me. They lacked the composure (packaging), confidence and basic knowledge required of graduates. Moreover these lapses were more evident amongst the diploma holders. Peeps from UI, UniLag , OAU appeared more appeasing and sellable to employers. I wonder why. 2. The Nigerian educational curriculum needs a dramatic upgrade to prepare graduates for present day challenges. Most firms don't have budgetary provisions for graduate trainee programs and prefer to hire graduates who can do the job with little or no training. This has nothing to do with BSc or HND. Nevertheless, BSc holders are perceived by employers to be better candidates due to the research and problem solving skills bachelors degree programs emphasises. Nevertheless, outliers (under performers and over performers )can be seen in both BSc and HND programs and it will be wrong to make inferences based on a few successful or unsuccessful BSc and HND holders. Our argument should reflect what typically goes on in our society and not what one or two individuals have accomplished using either a BSc or HND. 3. From my observation in the organisation I work, the Ond and HND holders are given the dirty jobs to perform (repair work, unskilled marketing campaigns etc)!while the professionals with a BSc and may be an MBA perform the brain work and participate in high profile meetings and earn more. In addition, a Look at the firm's management team showed that only one member of staff was trained via the HND route while the rest of the members of staff on the firm's management team had BSc's as well as a couple of MBAs . I personally will not advise anyone aiming to secure a management position someday to take the OND-HND-PGD path. 4. When I was taking the aptitude test at one of the big four accounting firms, a candidate was boothed out and clearly told that the firm only considers BSc holders for employment. I will advise even my enemies to consider what path they want to take in life and decide on whether to follow the BSc path or HND path. 5. Lastly, some people have questioned the relevance of paper qualification in our society. I believe that the paper is a mere documentation that represents some level of knowledge and expertise earned by the holder of the paper qualification. My university education empowered me so much so that I keep imagining what I would have been without the rigorous education i received in the university. I don't think the we should attend schools with the mindset of getting a paper or certificate. I had the mindset of a seeker of knowledge all through my university days and I am still feeling the positive impact. |
NnamdiN:Go from one govt school to the other and tell them what you want. The principal or head teacher will give you his/her terms and condition. If you are fine with it you collect the request letter else you try another place. |
jimisestain:Lol . Were you allowed to return to camp? |
jimisestain:Please kindly enlighten us on the process of applying for an exeat on medical grounds. How easy or difficult was it ? |

jennii:@jennii am trying to make arrangement. Mehn!!! four hours seems long oohhh |
how far is iseyin from lagos with a private car? 2 hours or 3 hours? |
jennii:As far as I know I will report at lagos camp iyana ipaja since I have a call up letter already stating iyana ipaja. If they like they can change my camp location to borno state online. We were only asked to download and print our call up letters. We were not asked to print our call up letters daily. |
Hi my fellow lagos bound prospective corpers, I printed my call-up letter on monday morning and the camp address was Iyana ipaja. Today I went online again to re-print my call up letter and it now reads a camp address in oyo state. Please any suggestion regarding what camp i should report to? On my part, I will prefer camping in lagos as opposed to oyo state. |
