Mkenya2019:
Dar port is small baby - it does half Mombasa - and Mombasa is also being expanded by japanase - and the japanse are crossing over to build Dongo Kundu, a bridge over Likoni - and another bridge in Mwache - these are huge bridges - the whole area Japanase are spending 1.5B dollars. That is how to play smart - not borrow commercial loan from South African bank and fund huge infrastructure project. You already spend 50% of your budget to service debt. And you are pilling commercial loans.

LAMU will do transshipment for now - targeting all the small ports including dar - dar is not a DEEP SEA port (understand that first).

And then when Turkana oil is shipped - we will use it as oil terminal. Uganda choose Tanga and they are crying as we finish designing the pipeline and will make FID (FInal Investment Decision) soon with Tullow & Total...we just need 1.5B dollars.
South African banks are the ones funding your project not the other way round you gave the whole project to a bank in South Africa and a private Chinese company whilst leaving yourself with little to no profit from it

Mombasa port have overtaken Lagos port complex in cargo throughput. I think Lagos is down to 1.2M TEUS a year while Mombasa is doing 1.3M TEUS (about 33m metric tonnes). Mombasa does twice Dar Port. Durban does 2.7M.

As for Lekki deap seaport - it will not see the light of the day without FUNDING. And that can only happen when oil price goes back to 100 dollars (never going to happen).Lekki was suppose to be operation last year - but construction is yet to start.

Now LAMU already knocked down 3 out of 32 berths - built in record 2-3yrs.
It is being funded by a Chinese company just like yours I did some research your is funded by a bank in South Africa and a private Chinese company your government has no stake in it

But ours it 80% funded by a private Chinese and British l company and 20% by the nigerian government and the government still has the calabar and bakasi deep seaports outside of Lagos so the congestion problem won't happen again

They are also spending 1.6 billion dollar to have a rail connection for the project so all is well for this one we will see it through and it will be successful

And I see you chose to use the Nigerian government thing of building SEZ (Special Economic Zones) it originated in China but Nigeria was the first one to use it in Africa

But yours are so small enyimba economic city will create 750 000 jobs for the people of the south east Centenary city 500 000 jobs lekki free trade zone will create 1.5 million jobs whilst yours is creating a mere 100 000 please do not try and push above your weight

Work with people and countries your own size like Tanzania, Rwanda and the likes

What hell is this smiley smiley smiley - can you give us magnifying glasses so we can see Lekki deep sea port please. Nigerian started talking about it 10-20yrs ago and there is absolutely zero progress. Meanwhile our Lamu deep sea port is ready for business. Mombasa has already overtaken Lagos Port Complex of Tincab-Appapa - and construction to expand it continues - and we just started on Dongo Kundu Free Port with EPZ in Mombasa.
Mombasa has not overtaken Lagos first off second off lekki deep seaport was mentioned only seven years ago but they only started construction February last year that picture us from January today they have finished the 1.5km long breakwater and they are going to start the construction of the actual container port now

The first berth will come in Q2 2020 and when fully completed in 2025 it will be able to handle over 6 million TEUs making it the largest and deepest seaport in sub Sahara Africa

of course it can't work. As far as transformation is concerned the old culture can be so viable in the current modernity life that is if we decide to embrace our culture. If we go by your sentiments in this context of architectural, technology and wherever, we won't be talking of traditional culture anymore, it will be long dead. Traditional culture had nothing to do with technology. The whites are the people who brought all this in the name of transformation. But culture is not all about technology you know.
Not technology but more like how things look like buildings that are made for specific purposes have a certain design to tell you that or pattern or some words in a native language and everyone is wearing traditional clothes and the buildings have architectural designs from Africa

Then the houses are made from red clay and mud which saves a lot of money blbecause it naturally cools and insulates houses

You think you are talking to somebody which has not been to Nigeria my friend you are dreaming as long as Nigerians are really the country nobody will invest not even Nigerians. Keep on telling yourself empty lives who will invest in a country where the Citizens are criminals. For everyone company which opens in Nigeria 50 pack up that is the ratio. Look at cassava what has happened to eat in starch over 200 cassava starch companies shut down in 5 years in Nigeria. Let your government keep on telling you lies nobody is going to invest in Nigeria that is why Nigeria is 130 something in the world in doing business Zimbabwe Benin Republic Chad and togo are in front of Nigeria is doing business
Cassava is not going down we are just using it for something different to make ethanol we spend 4.5 billion dollars every year Importing ethanol so now we are turning our cassava into fuel instead of food to save money

I can see you are falling into the illiterate mentality don't believe what Nigerians tell you on the streets in Europe and America because Nigerians never tell the truth I saw a Nigerian Trader selling issue written made in China and he was trying to convince the people that it is Made in Nigeria. Most Nigerians abroad especially day traders as stack illiterate. Nigerians records are greatly falsified and I can prove it Nigeria produces 70% of the world's yam but exports nothing Ghana export more yam than Nigeria in 2017 Nigeria only exported 70 tons of yam 1 Ghana exported 35000 tonnes of yam in 2018 when the ban was put in place in Nigeria only exported 62 tonnes why Ghana exported 52000 tonnes. Don't listen to Nigerian government because all they do is tell people lies for money tonight and the government also released all sorts of fake statistics that they're the biggest in the world but there is nothing to show back up those statistics just empty mouths. I am telling you in America and Europe there is 120 tons of Nigerian yam which is going rotten it cannot come out of the custom it is impounded
Nigerians abroad are not stark illiterate the people I see on the street are entrepreneurs who have made successful businesses and have graduated from top universities like Warwick in the UK and are just trying different companies and ways of making money like foods

SUFFERInSMILIIN:
My friend look at your situation more there is no country in the world exported as much as Nigeria's oil but where are you but Botswana exports very little diamond.

Now let's leave countries aside and talk about your agricultural sector.
Nigerian government has been making the same mistake in agriculture and Nearly Everything from time and Memorial the problem is not corruption but the problem is the people in Nigeria are illiterate when you have a country where 80% of the people do not even know why they vote what can you achieve

Back to the agricultural topic what Nigerian government must try to do is educate the Farmers to get more better yield. Let me give you a example in Nigeria the average yield per Acre for maize is less than 2 tons why in Ghana it is 4 tons in Kenya it is 5 tons in Zimbabwe and South Africa it is 6 Plus. So what this means is a farmer is South Africa we get three times more money on the same piece of land that a farmer in Nigeria. You cannot do agriculture without educating the Farmers most of Nigerian farmers are illiterate most of the good farmers have run away from Nigeria. The biggest cashew farm in the world is owned by Nigeria in Brazil this Farm is 20 km by 10 km. The third biggest cocoa farm in the world is owned by a Nigerian in Cote d'Ivoire . Just recently 58 Nigerian rice companies migrated to Volta North in Ghana that is what made buhari shutdown the land borders.

Another very good example Nigeria's average yield for cassava is 10 tonnes pa Hector. Why in India it is 30 tons in Ghana it is 16 tons. In Brazil it is 42 tons a farmer in Brazil will harvest four times more cassava than his Nigerian counterpart on the same piece of land. Coming down to the fax now . Is that the government will spend it same amount of money on this same amount or piece of land and have faceless that is why Nigeria is filling in agriculture also electricity and everything the government spent a huge amount of money in these sectors and nothing is coming out because the people put their are incompetent or illiterate

You will tell me I am lying but deep down you know that it is true. Right now in Europe Nigerians have the highest unemployment and also in America Nigeria lecturers are now running to other African countries from the developed world looking for.
Just so you know Buhari shut the borders not because companies are moving that's their business but because companies from India and Thailand were going to the Benin port in cotonou then driving from there to Nigeria because it was cheaper

So they were using tax evasion to get to Nigeria so he shut the borders to force them to use the ports in Nigeria and also he wanted to employ more Nigerians and this is already showing over 20 new rice mills will be opening by may 2020 and will employ over 30 000 people and feed all the Nigerian people so Nigeria would save 2 billion dollars in forex its smart governing

You are a bloody liar and I can prove it Europe and America has band Nigerian yam. Agriculture is my speciality. Most of the yams in u.k. come from Brazil or Asia. Even the cassava come from Brazil or Asia . In fact the band is for 5 years. Bet governor of Lagos which exported a container full of yams to America the container was blocked by American custom officials. The issue of the yams in Nigeria is because of the Chinese chemicals which nobody knows what they put inside them and the residue of the chemicals are affecting the food products
Hmm 2017 what year is it 2019 how often do they export think about it Nigerians who operate stores here in East London themselves told me that they bought it from Nigeria in Germany there are a few Nigerian stores there as well they import from Nigeria

Otherwise why would Nigeria be the largest exporter of yam in the world if they cannot export as well it doesn't add up this just goes back to the connection between brain and mouth

I give you five minutes come on it's not that hard just think and click

You have said it yourself even this airport will big corruption the same way. Lagos and Abuja are full of imported goods but the exported goods are not just their the cargo terminals for export at murtala Muhammed airport is virtually empty only the imported goods section is full. You know very little about export my friend because you do not do it I do it everyday exporting our Farm produce all over the world. You do start by building a Airport if you are serious you start by looking for international market for your produce. Look at the Yams which Nigerian sent to America and Europe what happened they have went rotten because they was not credit market based in those countries for Nigeria in yams. Even in Nigeria most of the products 60% of the tomato goes rotten before even it is sold so now you want to export rotten products. You need to develop the international market first start with export processing zones that is the first thing you need after export processing zones you need to find the market abroad which will guarantee the Nigerian products can enter their country. Not like the yams which stayed with American custom until they went rotten
That is a lie I can go to one of these street markets in London and buy a yam fresh from Nigeria or water leaf the airport is sourcing goods for Nigerians in diaspora so England america

Cowdung is mixed with charcoal dust to make
Charcoal bricks and is dried

The last part you are thinking like a fool
You have to cut down trees to make charcoal, to get charcoal you burn wood at a specific temperature for a prolonged amount of time unless your Importing this charcoal and giving it to tribes

I do not know how you are making charcoal

Maasais are the few ethnic community in kenya that rebelled the modernity life. They belief in their fore fathers strongly and they chose to stay with their culture. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Anyway in other news Nigeria is building an agro allied airport in ekiti to export finished agricultural produce from the southwest region of Nigeria.

As well as that a new rail line will begin construction in Nigeria to connect the river port city of onitsha to the central line which goes from warri to Abuja. So the line goes Onitsha to agbor to warri to ajaokuta to Abuja with a spur to enugu so now you can go from Onitsha to Abuja in 1 and a half hours.

Added to that the kaduna to kano line is going to start construction at the end of the year so you can go from warri port all the way to kano in about 3h and 15mins.

Nigeria is going to start construction of three new deep seaports next year and all should be completed by 2023-2025 to curb the smuggling and increase revenue and Nigeria's exports. The sea ports are bakassi, warri and lekki deep seaports.

The bakassi one is the most important because they are going to connect it to the north eastern part of Nigeria with a six lane highway and by railway with the port Harcourt line.

Nigeria is also going to open one of the biggest rice mills in Africa in Lagos by February 2019 to employ 5000 people 3000 farmers by this time next year Nigeria will be producing 2 million tonnes of rice in excess
Even more good news just today in Lagos they inaugurated a lot of things in the lekki free trade zone, they inaugurated a power station, a police station, one out of two office buildings and a luxury apartment building just today

And over 5 billion dollars of investment has been reported to enter the lekki free trade zone in just 3 years there are two steel companies, three furniture companies, a Chinese truck company now your innoson accusations work this one sink truck is only assembled in lekki and today they built a synthetic hair factory there are so many companies I cannot name them all.

You know all of those people on IDP camps of bakasi well all of them will be employed for the bakasi deep seaport no more IDP camps and it is expected to create 250 000 jobs

The lekki deep sea port is about to finish the 1.5km long breakwater for the port they say the full project should be completed by 2025 and the port phase 1 will hold 1.7milliob TEUs and will be completed in 2020 and at the final stage it will be able to hold 5 million TEUs

The port will be connected to the coastal rail line of Nigeria from here it will go all the way to Port Harcourt and they are considering connecting it to the Lagos-ibadan railway.

nwabekeyi:
According to the British petroleum statistical review of world energy, quantities of crude oil in discovered accumulations which can be legally, technically and economically extracted will only last for another “50years” with the current production and consumption level. You know what this means?
1. It means that the current crude oil reserve in Nigerdelta will probably not last beyond 50years ( I pity this region because they have been absolutely used by Nigeria for the past years, they will be left with nothing if they don’t start getting their asses together).

2. If Nigeria doesn’t diversify her economy or doesn’t find another economically significant quantity of crude oil, our economy will collapse. Iya yi ma poju
The only thing binding Nigeria together is that oil, it will be exhausted in no time and only those regions that has edified themselves educationally, business wise and any other non-oil means will thrive.
Nigeria eventually will divide because the Oyel would have been exhausted. This country is not structured to last, crude oil is the glue.

I pray we all will be alive to witness this happen in the next 50years....
Happy Sunday.
What do you think this agricultural revolution thing is we are increasing our rice production and the production of fruits soon Nigeria will be self sufficient in a lot of foods

Added to that Nigeria is going to invest 1.6 billion dollars to create a constant power supply for 60 million people by 2022 so about 20 000MW in an agreement with Japan whilst Siemens will provide aan extra 25 000MW by 2023 so by 2023 Nigeria will have 45 000MW of power with a renewable energy mix of 40% the rest will be natural gas

And the Nigeria technology scheme is larger than you think they have started laying fibers in yaba and Abuja for the tech cities and Co creation hub a Nigerian tech company bought the biggest tech hub in Kenya and has expanded to Rwanda and Tanzania

They are going to start construction of a 12 storey and 5 storey building in 2020

And you have already seen the railway Onitsha to warri with spur at enugu and then from warri alll the way to kano as well as that you will have Lagos to kano with spur at ado ekiti so all is well

Have you asked yourself why the project was cancelled so many times the reason is there not just enough of water in the area. The area has dry spell periods of drought. 3 Nigerian president babangida Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan was informed about The Drought in that area. But buhari is an illiterate he will not listen. The total investment in the Three Gorges Dam was at least 22 billion US dollar but only six billion US dollar was spent on the dam itself. About 8 billion US dollar was spent upstream dredging the water supply and blasting rocks to make the damn wider to contain more water. More was spent further upstream trying to slow the speed of the water down before getting into the damn wall area and about 6 billion US dollar was spent On irrigation irrigation canals and trenches. If you look at the Three Gorges Dam some of the construction work and jobs started 200 km before the Dam wall up stream.
It was not drought it was blatant corruption from PDP they put money into the project and looted it so they had to cancel mambilla is not desert that place is green lush rolling hills they had no drought it is all corruption lies and looting get your stories straight and I will ask again what is Botswana doing with all it's diamonds and coal and a population of 5 million people.

Beat Boko Haram, kidnappers and just maybe we can listen to you. Then UN and NGOs are feeding 8m displaced Nigerians as we speak...your cowardly proCRapped army unable to fight such homegrown terror.lets not talk about fulanis starting from Gen Buhari
The Nigerian government cancelled all the aid and said they were exagorating the situation and just so you know even the UN says it is only 450 000 to 600 000 people were hungry

But somehow in Kenya 4 million people are malnourished without war or terrorist attacks

My friend you are a total illiterate and do not even understand what part generation is about.the mambilla Dam has been built now for 35 years and it is going to be completed in year 2030. Imagine 50 years building a dam does it make sense. Can't you see you are a total illiterate China build the world's biggest Dam for 4.5 billion US dollar which is 20000 megawatts. Then you are building a dam for 5.8 billion US dollar and is only 2600 megawatts and will take 50 years to complete. Nigerians are a total joke this is what happens when you give illiterate to rule a country

Actually it was canceled and has been dormant for the past 30 years they revived it in 2016 and it will be ready in 2020 once again your lies will not work and the three gorges dam cost about 10 billion dollars and the technology had to be transported all the way to Nigeria so the price has to go up

And the amount of energy a dam produces is down ti terrain the bigger the drop the more the energy that is why Nigeria's own aren't that big because Nigeria is not that mountainous

Except Boko Haram has displaced 8m people..about population of nearly half of Africa countries...and occupy 3 states because you're buying cheap rebadged Chinese toys...proCRAP...please don't buy your own propaganda about manufacturing APCs..when you cannot manufacture toothpicks... meanwhile poorer Chad kick their arse like nobody business.Talking of your cities pot hooled moon surface like roads clearly you need land cruiser 70 series to navigate them.Your police force is ineffective because you give them crappy proforce that cannot navigate the crime infested areas...in Kenya when thugs hear police are coming...they know they are coming with Landcruiser 70 series that will go anywhere. Not an IVM Chinese toys that will stall midway.Equip your police better. We stopped even buying them cars...we just lease annually new cars that are fueled... police is a critical service we don't want to hear stories about the car is broken down
..or under repair..if a leased police car breakdown...the leasing company bring a new one and tow the other one..they have medical and life insurance...they have better salaries..and we have smart camera so we are seeing better policing
That was three years ago when Innoson and proforce came in they pushed them back to the northern most part of one state in Nigeria your lies will not work sorry
