NLEFCC:
I just watched people pelting stones at the convoy of the APC party leaders and the rally had to end without even an address by any leader not to mention the General. Don't know what to make of this....,
I watched it live...the governor pleaded to the youths and they refused and took over the podium. They had to smuggle the leaders into a waiting jeep and took off. It was so disgusting, very few security personnel on ground to manage the crowd.
I know they will rescheduled the rally anyway.
This does not change the fact that Borno is APC's stronghold.

Politics / Breaking: I Invited Amaechi to Caution him, Still In PDP - Lamido by Abu34: 5:40pm On Feb 03, 2015
Gov. Sule Lamido of Jigawa on Tuesday said he was still a card carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Lamido made the declaration at a PDP governorship rally in Kaugama, Kaugama Local Government Area, Jigawa. The governor made the declaration against insinuations that he would ditch the party for the All Progressive Party (APC) following his meeting with Rivers Governor, Rotimi Amechi.

Gov Sule Lamido

Lamido stressed that he was a PDP member and would intensify campaign for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and other candidates of the party. He said he had cautioned Amechi on the dangers associated with smear campaigns among politicians, which was inimical to the growth of democratic governance in the country.

“If Amechi, a Southerner and a Christian is campaigning for Gen. Muhammadu Buhari of the APC; I do not see any wrong for me, a northerner and Muslim to campaign for President Jonathan. “Leadership comes from God. And in his divine wisdom made people of northern and southern extraction to live in one land, our dear country, Nigeria.

“We are one and we should not allow some disgruntled elements using politics, religion and ethnicity to cause disaffection among our people. “Ignore what they are saying; it is frivolous and cheap lies to deceive voters. “They said I do not care for the north and called me a pastor, but it does not bother me,” Lamido said.

He said the founding fathers had fought for the nation’s independence irrespective of creed or religious affiliations. and therefore, Nigerians should unite for peace and progress of the country. The governor advised the electorate to vote for credible and patriotic leaders, who would render selfless service and move the country forward.

“You should not be deceived by the smear campaigns. Vote for credible people, those who respect human rights, ensure accountability and transparency in governance. “I advise you to vote wisely,” he said, adding that the PDP led-administration had brought positive development in the country in the last 16 years. Also speaking, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the state, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim, pledged to consolidate on the feat achieved by Lamido’s administration.

If you know what a real international airport looks like you won't dare say what you are saying. That said, focus on the topic and don't get distracted with the-my-people mentality that the Jonathanians have enslaved you with.
When u were aviation minister u couldn't give us a single local airport. Now u are envious of a woman that has transformed the entire aviation industry in Nigeria.
FFK, u are just a hater, bigot and clueless. I pity ur offspring if you have any.
Just know that no amount of blackmail will stop this woman rather u are only encouraging GEJ to keep her till 2019.
Remember that a corruption charge is hanging on ur head n u may end up in kirikiri prison b4 2015.

Politics / Re: Boko-Haram Gunmen Kill 12 At Wedding Party.... DEAD HUMANS [PHOTO] by Abu34: 12:38pm On Dec 31, 2013
Rare-antagonist:
Twelve people died in a suspected Boko Haram attack on a wedding party at the weekend, police and health officials in the northeast Nigerian state of Borno said on Monday.

Two gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire in the mainly Christian village of Tashan Alade, 230 kilometres (over 140 miles) from the Borno state capital Maiduguri, on Saturday, said police commissioner Lawan Tanko.

“The attackers, who were obviously Boko Haram insurgents, arrived at the open-air venue of the party around 2:00pm (1300 GMT) and opened fire, killing seven people and injuring five others,” he told AFP.

“The gunmen fled immediately and escaped before security personnel could be alerted due to the remoteness of the village.”Witnesses to the attack said the gunmen pretended to be guests and opened fire as cash was given to the newlyweds in a traditional Nigerian custom.
The wedding was attended by both Christians and Muslims, they added.

People injured in the raid were taken to hospital in Maiduguri, where five others died from gunshot wounds, said one hospital worker, who requested anonymity.

“Twelve people were brought here on Saturday with very serious gunshot wounds from Tashan Alade,” the source added.

“Five of the injured died yesterday (Sunday).”

The seven others were said to be in a serious but stable condition

Boko Haram has in recent months intensified attacks on civilians in northern Borno in response to their perceived collaboration with the military tasked with stemming the bloody insurgency.

The Jonathan government in May imposed a state of emergency in Borno and two other northeastern states, Yobe and Adamawa.

The operation — assisted by civilian vigilante groups — has seen Boko Haram fighters forced out of Maiduguri into more remote, rural areas on the border with neighbouring Cameroon, Chad and Niger.

Let Buhari boys continue with their game. It will help GEJ achieve two things:

1. Extension of the emergency rule come 2015.
2. No elections in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa plus other Buhari strong holds that emergency rule will be declared before 2015.

Politics / Nigerian Military 'kills Bama Attackers' by Abu34: 3:09pm On Dec 24, 2013
At least 70 people are said to have died when Nigerian forces attacked those behind a raid on a barracks.

Fifty insurgents, 15 soldiers and five civilians died in the clashes as those who raided the barracks in Bama sought to flee to Cameroon, officials said.

Some 1,200 people have been killed since May, when a state of emergency was declared in the three states worst affected by attacks by Boko Haram.

The group wants to establish Islamic law in the region.

More than 20 vehicles carrying insurgents were destroyed during the latest clash, according to the statement from Maj-Gen Chris Olukolade.

He said air surveillance was used to track down those who attacked the barracks last week.

There has been no independent confirmation of the casualty figures and Boko Haram has not commented on Friday's raid on Bama.

The army used fighter jets during a fierce battle lasting several hours on Friday.

Several witnesses said that the families of soldiers were abducted during the attack, but this was denied by Gen Olukolade.

Residents said that women and children were among those killed in Bama barracks.

olabukola: If Amaechi said what the op posted then no need for picture.

Exactly my point. Come to think of it, this was the first statement he made when he was called to speak.
Amaechi goofed here. Even though the stadium was not full, he could have remained silent on this. Telling ppl that the capacity is 16,000 and that it was full around 12noon but most ppl has left as around 2pm and so he will cal for another rally at the new stadium to declare 4 APC is very funny.
Politics / Re: Save Rivers Movement Sensitized Rally By APC by Abu34: 3:16pm On Dec 23, 2013
lagosph: The problem is I was expecting the stadium for a rally like this to be filled to capacity, its 16000 capacity was only about 15% filled. I meam you had all the big wigs in APC, Buhari, tinubu and co, 23 LG chairman and the could not fill the stadium? Then they truly are not on ground. Ameachi said when they started about 12noon the stadium was filled to capacity but by 1.40pm its only 15%? What happen they got tired and left b4 the program ended? henn eeeh, Ameachi look well o. You said jonathan wants Rivers pple to die from cholera by not approving the loan, that you drink bottle water. My question is that is it now you realised after 7years as Governor your don't have water while you drink bottle water? I mean you applied for this loan in may this year. So what happened since why did you expose them to cholera all this while. Ok world bank said they are(cos you just said there two banks not just the ADB you ve talking about) so is the $200M for the water project comming from world bank or ADB or both, if both how much is each bring and what for? By a staff of what bank said they are ready does it mean you ADB is not ready?

Honestly, Amaechi goofed here. Even though the stadium was not full, he could have remained silent on this. Telling ppl that the capacity is 16,000 and that it was full around 12noon but most ppl has left as around 2pm and so he will cal for another rally at the new stadium to declare 4 APC is very funny.

Sloan:

You have to wonder why some people like you make completely illogical and senseless statements! Except retardeen GEJ rigs the election, there is no way he can win the 2015 election! It is the Arithmetic => DUM.BASS DUM DUM! Except rigging the elections, the election is APC's to lose if they mobilize all the votes in the North and South West (majority of the population already), and get the votes in states in the Middle Belt, win or get significant votes in the SS and the SE can go anywhere they like with their minority votes. That is it! The SE will vote only on sentiments, so most parties and aspirants can only do a best-effort campaign but in the areas where the APC has strong support, they must do everything to mobilize all that support, get phone cameras into every hand and be sure to monitor the elections! GEJ can never have the sympathy votes he got in 2011 when he was deemed to have been treated unfairly by some of Yaradua's aide and people in government.

This is the same political arithmetic u APC e-rats did in Anambra that made Ngige to go and borrow N5 billion from Tinubu and failed woefully at the end.

U think election is done on nairaland. U will only make noise online after the election while GEJ continues with his transformation agenda till 2019.

GEJ remains the best Nigerian leader since our independence.

If APC like they can pick Tanbuwal and Buhari together as president then Fashola and Amaechi together as vice, GEJ will win them with a wide margin.

They should better start now to prepare for 2019. The earlier the better.

2015 is a done deal.

Why has GEJ not made any effort to visit this town?
Why has GEJ not made any effort to show that He is the commander in Chief?

This is a town in Nigeria for crying out loud, and to think that GEJ is yet to pay any unscheduled visit clearly shows how insensitive this present Federal Government is to the plight of Nigerians.

is it when the opposition parties make bold and pay a visit to Baga before GEJ will not know that the people of Baga needs Him to pay them a visit and reassure them of His sworn oath to protect every life and property of every Nigerian citizen in this country?

if the Emir with all his security protocols could be attacked, what is the fate of this gallant soldier(who is presently being trailed by terrorist following his small car)? i believe he is a father and has family too, may God touch the senses of the military command let them transfer him down south immediately o! ahhh!
before we add another to the long list of past heros.

northeast is on the verge of becoming another Afghanistan, the insurgents are die-hard fighters on suicide mission, the military surge being used has never worked anywhere in the world, ideological/religious warfare is a very dirty game, sometimes never ending. millions of jobless and poverty stricken youths are future recruits, sponsors of bokoharam are not short of funds, more heavy weapons flowing in from the Libyan crisis, the JTF are becoming overstretched, its only a matter of time before we see a full-scale breakdown of law and other.

which way Nigeria?

My friend relax. What do you know about Lt.Col Musa? If BH tell u that he is moving around in a small car u beleive them. So why havent they gunned him down. I know this guy well. Infact it is easier for Boko haram to kill all the northern Emirs than to even injure Lt.Col Musa. Killing Musa is even more difficult than killing GEJ. Have u even been to Borno before?
