Jobs/Vacancies › Re: How I Got A Job by ACE1010: 8:57pm On Dec 12, 2017
empressteemah06:
Glory to God who made it Possible...
and to my mum..
I did my sign out from school, October this year.
Results isn't out.. Asup on strike.. And I don't want to sit at home during nothing.

So I started going to all job vacancies site, visited nairaland job sections daily. The first interview I went I was employed but I had to stop because the job was demanding and the pay wasn't much. I would have even continue even with the pay because of experience but who does that: Monday to Sunday job.

Most importantly the ones I do see is from all these consulting firms.

The one I got at last, I couldn't even remember when I applied. Was called for an interview.. First time, I did group interview, I was interviewed by 3 people at the same time.. Fortunately for me, I was called for a chat, it was during that chat I got to know I submitted my ND Cv not the updated one. Pay is good, distance isn't far from my place. Good working conditions. Was even told if my service should be in Lagos, I can work there during service and it not from any consulting firm...

Thanks to my lecturers in school cos I made use of what was taught in school during the interview..

No knowledge is a waste ..

God would answer the prayers of many job seekers.

Lastly.. I had good grades from school but my skills, abilities and how I behaved during the interview paved way for me.
What is the essence of a good grade if you can't defend it..

Bye
Lucky you. Congrats!!
Politics › Re: Fuel Scarcity: Have We Been Truly Scammed By The APC? By Audu Bulama Bukarti by ACE1010: 8:53pm On Dec 12, 2017
AutoReportNG:
This is a post written by Audu Bulama Bukarti and he writes about the lingering fuel scarcity that is lingering in the nation. According to him, this is not the change the APC led govt promised us. Read more below..

I am currently at a filling station at BUK road in Kano. My car is the 70th on the queue. This means if it will take only 3 minutes to fuel every car, I will take about 3 and a half hours to get fuel. That’s all things been equal.

I can vividly remember that when the PMB-led APC government hiked PMS price from N87 to N145 per liter without prior notice, it promised us that that would be the end of fuel scarcity in the country. They said the price will crash in six months.

When there was minimal scarcity last December, hailers took to the social media with headlines like “The First December without Fuel Queues”, “Fuel Scarcity is now History”, “The Change has Come”.

Today, we are back to yesterday. we have to queue for several hours to fuel our cars. This is a text definition of the PDD days. The only difference is that we have to pay almost DOUBLE the PDP price we resisted with the last atom of our energy. This is the change they promised, I think.

The Big and Little Ministers for Petroleum have pretended ignorance of the current situation of things with us. Hailers have buried themselves in the sand of shame. They may be awaiting the slightest opportunity to yet again Jonathan for this one too as if that is what we voted them for.

It appears obvious to me that the Change Government has scammed us yet again. We shall, however, continue to struggle until we get it right as a country. So Help Us, God!

My brother you are ignorant of what is going on as far as the fuel scarcity is concern. I'm not a politician, neither am I supporting APC or PDP. But truth be told. The marketers are the one responsible for this artificial scarcity. Could you believe that DPR went to OandO filling station at Lekki?? And when they were told to open their reservoir, the refused only to discovered that they had 45000 litres of fuel, yet refused to sell even with more than 100 customers queuing, and when the DPR officials was about sealing the station, the manager appeared from nowhere with tugs and threatened beat them up.
So my brother APC or whatever did not scam anybody. It's Nigerians scamming Nigerians!!

Ďear Op , It is wrong on several levels to seek advice on your kind of issues on a platform like nairaland. There all kinds of people here. Some don't know their left from right. Some have never been out of their state of birthday not to talk of out of Nigeria. I live in both the UK and Nigeria. Truth be told there is a lot of hardship in Nigeria. The collapse of the currency has made nonsense of people's incomes and the level of unemployment is higher. Most of the unemployed are graduates of our dysfunctional educational and are mostly unemployable. Without real skills and a lack of understanding of how t huhhings work in the modern workplace, they are disadvantaged from all levels. You can live in Nigeria. Keep a low profile, invest what money you have any of the several low risk ventures while scouring the internet for jobs that require your skill set I your best option. You must have some trusted educated family members you can talk to. The fellows here will confuse you with their infantile and street hunger advice that will be largely a mirror of their lives. People are making good lives here.
We're like minds. God bless you my brother for your candid advice

This is your country, this is where you belong, if everyone develops US, who is going to develop Nigeria, please come home and lets develop our country together.
God bless you my brother
