From what I have read, the coup was doomed from the start. Dimka didn't involve the usual coup plotters in the Nigerian army/ military in his plan to overthrow Murtala. Dimka's plan was to restore Gowon back to power because they were both kinsmen. Some bad blood had developed when Murtala overthrew Gowon and Dimka felt he was doing the right thing by overthrowing Murtala. Dimka was also a heavy drinker which caused a lax in his judgements. When Banangida stomred the radio station where the overthrow announcement was made to arrest/ flush out the coup ploters, it was said that Banangida allowed Dimka to escape because they were buddies and had some history together. |

walesho:Indeed.. Pixel 4a is also a great phone, I might switch to it due to the form factor being portable. Used the Pixel 3XL before and the camera was by far the best smartphone camera I've used, especially low light shots.

While I don't support the withholding of allocations from the various states by the FG. What have all the silly/ incompetent governors done with the funds that's have been allocated to them so far besides squandering & looting the rest? Bunch of imbeciles calling themselves elected officials |
FAKE!! I have a S4 and this is a bad knock-off of the S4 |
For all the NL attempting to defend TY or make him into what his not & will never be, you either do not know Nigerian history & his role in all the coups that took place years past or you are extremely deluded!! Either way lets call a spade a spade, it is what it is! The definition of patriotism is Mandela and I doubt TY can ever put his personal ambition or greed before the unity of Nigeria just like all the so called past/ present leaders..... In a functioning society TY and his likes would have been locked and serving time for all the atrocities they have committed against their fellow country men, but then again this is Naija where anything goes as long as you have money & can buy influence... I sorry for Naija wahali |
TY Danjuma should please spare us with the garbage! What tangible positive contribution has he made to Nigeria?! Oh, let me guess his foundation?! Thant in my opinion is him just attempting to launder his image, so his foundation gives away a couple of million crumbs from his massive Billions of $$$ stolen from Nigeria via dubious oil block concessions. The issue with us Nigerians is that we are too gullible & quick to people worship & sing there praise when they throw money around. Wasn't it TY Danjuma & Gowon singing one North back in the day when they & their fellow malams were busy slaughtering non-indigenes in the North leading to the civil war? Patriotic my arse, let him and all his cohorts go hide their faces in shame while the seed(Boko)of discord they sowed continue to ravage their home regions. Like the saying goes, charity begins at home TY!! |
please enumerate his contributions to Africa beginning with Nigeria. Achebe was an ingrate! Twice conferred with national awards and he turned it down each time citing corruption. You should share with us how, sitting in US, he contributed at home to remove the very ill he vehemently opposed. The truth is Achebe remained bitter to his death and he never brought himself around to accept and reconcile the biafran defeat in his own spirit. By accepting a Nigerian honorary award would be an acceptance that his biafran identity is defeated and lost forever. He ended up personifying the Okonkwo of Things Fall Apart.
It's called "INTEGRITY" look up that word in the dictionary & you will understand why Chinua Achebe never accepted the worthless award from the Nigerian government. The same award given to Nigerians of questionable character? Come on folks......... |
Sure he's not corrupt, so is IBB, Abacha, OBJ, Bode George, Farouk etc... I dey laugh |
I've killed a lot of wild mosquitoes in my time if that counts too. ![]() |
I will always say it a thousand times that these Northers are politically more advanced that the Southerners. Their suggestion should be embedded in the Nigerian constitutions. We must all have freedom and rights to live in any part of Nigerians and accumulate properties without discrimination. Upon these we can lay the foundation for a greater Nigeria
No the northerners are not more politically advanced than the southerners, the only reason the so called Arewa forum is attempting to do this is that shyte has hit the fan and all the bad seed they've sown over the years in the North through bad governance has now come back to bite them really bad so they are being forced to have a reality check. shikena |
It all sounds & looks good on paper and that's where it ends. It's just too easy for the state governors to sit on their lazy bum collecting their monthly federal allocations. Until the federal govt mandates that each state will have to rely solely on revenue generated internally, only then will we begin to see some changes in state govt. The quickest way to reduce corruption & move Nigeria forward is to to make it financially unrewarding to hold public office on all levels of govt, only then will we have true patriots step forward to serve that are truly interested in bringing about lasting change in the Nigeria. |
There are couple of factors that cause your BB to become slow requiring you to reboot your device. #1 reason can be attributed to not properly exiting or closing out apps completely when done using them. Hitting the end button on BB does not close out apps, all that does is takes you back to the home-screen but the apps continue to run in the background using up resources(RAM,Battery) which can eventually lead to your BB become super slow & needing a reboot. Tips on minimizing freezing, hour-glass, slow responsiveness & unnecessary reboots on your BB 1)When done using apps, press the BB menu button & select CLOSE, QUIT OR EXIT to properly exit an app. 2)You can use the back button i.e the curved arrow to exit certain apps but I prefer pressing the menu button & selecting close, exit or quit. 3)There are 5 Core apps that will always run/ stay open on your BB no matter what and that's okay (Message,BBM,Browser,Home,Phone) If you hold down your BB menu button for a few secs, a bunch of icons will appear & these typically are all the open apps running in the BB background can lead to slow responsiveness when using your BB 4)There's an app called QuickPull in the BlackBerry AppWorld, the app simulates a BB reboot without you pulling the battery, I personally have it scheduled to do a daily reboot of my BB in the early morning before I wake up to help my BB run smoothly during the day. Same concept as rebooting your computer, hope these tips help |
