yes it will as long as it has been unlocked, the 9700 is a quad-band device meaning it works on all the GSM frequencies all over the world. |
IMHO I think it's a matter of economics. The married men I guess are in a position financially that they are able to entice these young chics by flashing their money etc. If 9ja was better-off economically I can guarantee you that these married older guys wouldn't stand much chance cuz the younger chics would be in better position financially where they don't necessarily need some older/ married dude to spoil them. |
Formal education will make you a living and self-education can make you a fortune!! In a society like nigeria, we are asked to go to school by our parents so that we can supposedly get a good job(join the rat race). Formal education doesn't prepare you for the realities of life in my opinion, yes I'm an advocate of education cuz ignorance is not bliss. However, each individual is different because I've met a lot of people with advanced degrees that have no life skills/ clueless & I've met some people without an advanced degree and are well rounded plus they own businesses where they employ people with advanced degrees to work for them. If you look at any society that has done well, you need to look closer at the entrepreneurial spirit in that society. For me education mixed with some street savvy is the right recipe, education is not about getting a paper degree cuz education goes way beyond that. |
9ja driving nah die for lack of a better term. I drove in lagos this summer when I visited, my first time ever driving in 9ja. To say it was nerve racking is an understatement, but I'll tell u what it didn't take me long to catch up with the driving madness. My gurl's dad is a retired soldier, so I drove one of their cars with a a soldier belt & koboko on the dash. whenever one of the danfo drivers tried to cut in front of me or I cut in front of them & they saw the belt & koboko they backed off . I mysef come get road rage, I don't curse so my gurl did all the cursing wile I drove. The scariest part was I saw a driver that missed his exit & instead of going to the next exit & turning around ma guy just decided to put the car in reverse on a express way & started reversing. The same exact thing occurred when I caught a cab in abuja, instead of the slowpoke of a driver going to the round about cuz he passed where we were headed he put the car in reverse on the highway, I was begging him just to go to the round about while my gurl was cursing his azz out for endangering our lives. The most bizarre thing I noticed while driving in 9ja was the constant use of the horn, you have to constantly honk your horn & also non of the drivers stayed on their lane, oops I forgot there aren't any lanes in 9ja. I traveled quite extensively by road when I visited 9ja & all I can say is it's only God that looks out for us cuz of all the reckless driving taking place on the road. And oh by the way, the so called traffic wardens or yellow fever whatever u call them these days were oblivious of all the traffic gridlock around them. They were more concerned about which driver they would extort next, ![]() |
My order of priority 1) Spirituality 2) Spouse 3) Kids |
This whole banking fiasco has been long in the making, how can a bank or financial institution give out billions of naira in loans and not require any collateral from the debtors!!! I remember early last year I spoke to an uncle who was visiting from the UK and asked him what he though about the nigerian banks because he deals venture capital. He replied that a lot of the banks were in trouble and he especially made mention of oceanic bank saying that a vast sum of money had been given out to a particular individual as loan and it wasn't performing and it was just a matter of time before an implosion occurred in the nigerian banking sector. |
@akigbemaru A cow doesn't know the values of its tail until it cuts off. I am patiently waiting for Nigeria to disintegrate and let your troglodyte-ass go back to eastern jungle. Then, far way behind a closed door you shall hear many testimonies about the power of Oduduwa people. Then, you would doff your hat and say " nose stick is far away from head." Had it been your Mr, Chidi "the transporter or driver" stayed in your "Ibo Eastern Region" of just common 28,500 kilometer square, tell me he would become known? After we brought civilization to your ungrateful tribe, now we don't know how to do it anymore? I know why the cage birds sing? If Bola Tinubu could have been a ibo, he would become epitome or yardstick to measure success in Ibo land. How can we ever expect to ever move forward with fellow Nigerians always quick to make it a tribal matter!! Let's just keep the posting to the topic instead of turning something positive into negative. No tribe in 9ja is without it flaws & blemishes. Cheers! |
You can apply for visa to any country you want as long as you have sufficient proof that you can support yourself financially and will not be a burden to to the tax payers of the host country. Meaning you can afford to pay for your child-bearing hospital bill and other expenses while there. Hope that helps!! |
When you motivate an idiot, all you will have is a motivated idiot (9ja leaders are a bunch of idiots) in the case of 9ja, not only are the leaders idiots they are only motivated to line their own pockets, God Bless 9ja & it ppl. |
I was in 9ja earlier this year after being away for 15yrs, my immediate family lives in the U.S like I do so there's really never been a sense of urgency to go visit 9ja cuz I left right after secondary sch. Visiting 9ja was quite interesting to say the least, I grew up in lag but what I saw in lag when I went to visit was just chaos IMHO. The traffic was insane, the lack of light, security, the driving etc. I was very glad to see my family though, I spent some time in Abuja and that's the only place in 9ja at this moment that I think I would consider moving back to. But like I always tell my fiancee that when a person moves to 9ja, they better been a position to leave the country whenever they want for a breather cuz 9ja has a way of getting to you with all its madness. Now I've to say I really miss the food back home & was soo glad to be able to eat some delicacy that I've tasted since I've been away. The food home just taste sooooo good like food should taste. Nigerians are genuinely good people it just a lack of good governance that's turned the masses into a survival of the fittest mode. I was able to visit lagos, abuja, jos, enugu, imo & abia during my visit that was an interesting experience btw being on the road & flying. But again like a lot ppl have said home is home but if home becomes chaotic then you'll need to make home somewhere else. I was glad to return back to the my home base where most things work like they are supposed to, God Bless 9ja |
Dude, "why did she gave u her numbers?" beats me too, lmao ![]() |
I was in 9ja for a few weeks after a long hiatus and went to zenith bank to handle some business. As soon as I spoke & the chic @ the front desk heard me, her phoney just came out of nowhere, one second she sounded English the next minute she sounded yankee . I had a good laugh cuz my young nephew even noticed the change in her enunciation. I went over to UBA & the same thing occurred with the bankers I dealt with trying to blow phoney. ![]() |

Obamaa:Stay indoors & avoid the sunlight is the best solution, ![]() |
LuvAfrican:The african culture compared to the western culture from my experience does not readily accept women with kids whether the members on the forum agree or not. It takes a certain type of individual to love someone another individual child like it's theirs. I personally have dated a single mom with a child, children in a relationship changes the dynamics of the relation. I've seen it over & over, can a relationship like that workout? Absolutely! But it takes a lot of commitment |
Obamaa:se nah you wan fresh!! ![]() |
I think the best thing to do is to simply ask her what she likes to get into, fellow NL members are giving you some ideas but it ultimately depends on what the individual likes to do or would like to do. Personally I'm a believer in simplicity, that why I said ask and let her give you some hints & then build from there. Good luck!! |
TURA, TOP-GEL & BLACK SOAP!! ![]() |
olagboye:Dude, I hope you've take taken cover cuz the ladies are about to come at you like B-52's dropping bombs over afghanistan ![]() |

Thank you for such a write up, you definitely hit the bulls-eye. I've always told my woman & continue to tell her that it's the little things that matter, I personally like to compliment my mate. I remember earlier in our my relationship, I noticed that I wasn't getting any type of compliments from her but would get compliments from other women outside. I brought this to her attention, although I consider myself a self confident individual it bothered me that the woman I cared about & was dating wasn't much of a compliment giver, yet I was getting compliments from other women besides her. She apologized & said she it wasn't intentional, that she wasn't used to receiving compliments and it didn't really cross her mind to reciprocate. Fast forward a few years later she's now a better compliment giver which I really appreciate. Some people might ask what's the BIG DEAL in complimenting your mate, I'll put it like my pastor said "IF YOU DO NOT AFFIRM YOUR MATE, SOMEONE ELSE WILL" and trust me you don't want others affirming your mate cuz it may just open up a window/door in your relationship that you don't want. Again thanks!!!! |
It hard to say which tribe produces the best husbands or wives. I've seen the Good, Bad & Ugly across the board. My fiance is from jos & I'm Ibo, she and all her sistas date outside of their tribe for personal reasons. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder to decide on the individual they want to marry looking beyond the sterotypes. |
That's an ABSOLUTE NO |
Absolutely, she is my wife, ![]() |
I don't believe there's a scarcity of good men or women out there. I think it really boils down to individuals truly knowing themselves & what they want out of a mate if they met one. Some people can be standing in front of a potential match and because the individuals priorities are misconstrued they wouldn't even know. We all talk about wanting certain things out of a mate, but like something mentioned sometimes you have to look beyond the present situation (please I'm not saying be blind or foolish to the obvious) and see the possibilities in that person and also be willing partner up with the person. Being equally yoked is always key, this is my 2 cents ![]() |
wonders shall never end in 9ja!!!! Roasted goat with a twist of rubber gotta luv 9ja |
Chairman, PDP Board of Trustees, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo,, said “We are not just celebrating the re-entry of Governor Ohakim into the PDP, but we are celebrating integrity, honour, promises made and promises fulfilled”. Celebrating Honor and Integrity?? Kai, we don suffer for 9ja When all these quote on quote morons parading themselves as so called leaders dey use words & terms that they don't even understand its dept. Anywhew, in a land where there's no law there can be no offense, |
God Bless 9ja & it ppl.
My heart tells me he may have realized that he bit off more than he could chew, I don’t know but it seems that women with kids are frowned upon…….why is this
