True Friends are very rare!! ********************* Horror gripped the heart of the World War I soldier as he saw his lifelong friend fall in battle. Caught in a trench with continuous gunfire whizzing over his head, the soldier asked his lieutenant if he might go out into the “no man’s land” between the trenches to bring his fallen comrade back. “You can go,” said the lieutenant, “but i don’t think it will be worth it. Your friend is probably dead and you may throw your life away.” The lieutenant’s advice didn’t matter, and the soldier went anyway. Miraculously he managed to reach his friend, hoist him onto his shoulder and bring him back to their company’s trench. As the two of them tumbled in together to the bottom of the trench, the officer checked the wounded soldier, and then looked kindly at his friend. “I told you it wouldn’t be worth it,” he said. “Your friend is dead and you are mortally wounded.” “It was worth it, though, sir,” said the soldier. “What do you mean; worth it?” responded the Lieutenant.“Your friend is dead.” “Yes, Sir” the private answered. “But it was worth it because when I got to him, he was still alive and I had the satisfaction of hearing him saying, “Jim…, I knew you’d come.” ********** Many times in life, whether a thing is worth doing or not, really depends on how you looks at it. Take up all your courage and do something your heart tells you to do so that you may not regret not doing it later in your life. May each and every one of you be blessed with the company of TRUE FRIENDS. A true friend is one who walks in, when the rest of the world walks out. War doesn’t determine who’s right. War only determines who’s left. SHARE YOUR DEFINITION AND EXPERIENCE OF A TRUE FRIEND. |
GOD BLESS MY MOTHER!!! When I see my sisters today, I just can't but thank God for the mother that trained them. If I never associated with other Nigerian babes I would have probably thought all ladies were as decent, hardworking and 'shy to collect' like my lovely sisters. I stay in the part of Town where though the rents are extremely high, you get mainly young married couples and bachelors living in the Estate. One thing I have noticed is that 90% of the young bachelors drive in and out with at least 4-5 different ladies in a week. What this means is that it is almost a miracle to see guys repeating 'a lady' in a week. You want to ask why? Most of these guys spend heavily on furnishing their houses and buying powerful automobiles (some on loan while some are from debt from family and friends) just to live a fake and inpressive lifestyle. Most of these girls almost never want to leave such a guy after visiting is well furnished and high tech apartment, knowing the guy is a FULL fledged bachelor. Now the thing is while some are there to always demand to meet up with their poverty stricken hungry stomach, some just stick along and want to associate with a so called "big boy". To be fair to some ladies, the ONLY ones who don't demand are girls from extremely comfortable homes and who weren't influenced by peer pressure. A larger number of girls out there are just irritating annoying panhandlers. |
Goldieluks:As fasting dey town now market no too move like before. Why you never come visit me for house? Mama junior and the children don go village for summer. |

lefulefu: soon and very soon paying the babe transport fare go develop to paying her house rent and school feesSome maga don dey pay those bills since the time of Adam. |
^^^ There's a particular tribe in nigeria which I won't mention. They are known to house great grand father, grand father, father, son, grand son, great grand son, wife, aunty, grand aunty, sister, uncle, brothers, grand uncles , grand aunties, nephews, grand nieces and everyone inside the same building of between 2-4 bedrooms. This same people will vouch that it is not poverty but rather their tradition/culture to all live together in harmony. |
lefulefu: no normal naija guy go dey intimidated with a naija babe wey get car because after all na we buy the car for them.tell me wich babe for naija go gree use her own money buy car for hersef.its either na her husband buy the car or her sugar daddyI tototally disagree with you on this. Apart from when my parents provided cars for my sisters (leaving me and my brothers jumping bus, bike and stealing car keys to sneak out the cars), my sisters all bought their first ever cars with their own salary. The funny thing is they all bought SUV as their very first cars. No man ever met and married any of my sisters without having her own car. |
manny4life: Back...With N5million naira they can borrow 5,000 market women N10,000 each to restock their kiosk with biscuits and sweets. Soon we will see people coming out to scream people loosing their jobs and Sanusi's bad policies whereas we fail to realize that these financial institutions collects loans from CBN and then channel such monies into their private extravagant lifestyle. Most of this fake Mortgage houses own hectares of land around ikorodu, ofada and mowe yet they don't have the right documents from the state government, as such dupe unsuspecting people with such land advert only to find out that 10years after purchase you can't still develop or start construction work on your plot. Enough cleansing needs to be done across every sector of the Nigerian Economy. |
^^^ E be like say you like poking well well oh! But anyway who doesn't? |
Donalð Genes: secondedWell....the topic was to sound controversial. The topic message is the real message. |
Truckpusher: NIGERIAN GIRLS NO FIT DO AM.You are ABSOLUTELY WRONG. I have a friend who got hit by stroke, someone in his early 30s and you know who is ALL over him chasing him with love and all AFTER his predicament? A senior manager in a financial institution. The lady is from an EXTREMELY WEALTHY home so the aspect of chasing him because of his money is totally out of the picture. There are still good girls out there and when I mean good girls I mean those who are WALKING ANGELS on earth. I have had more share of the good girls than the bad ones in my life so I know what I am talking about. 95% of relationships iver had are the ones I have never had an iota of regret about instead I just regreTted not being a little patient with them then. We have good girls both in Nigeria and all over the globe. |
@uju, thanks a billion didn't see your post before commenting earlier but on the vices of people let me state my own two personal experiences from what you stated above. * while in the university, I helped a female classmate who was below poverty level to get a job in one of my BEST clients firm and someone who is a societal lady and extremely popular till date in lagos. long story short, she went there to misbehave and that cost me one of my best clients ever as a young student/business owner then. This was a lady I pleaded for never to misbehave because that woman wasn't just an extremely wealthy and famous client but also someone who pays me 50times what I charge other clients without negotiating . As a student in the university, that woman was one of the people that made me never to ask for a dime from my family while in school, but also made me the envy of my mates in school (I was living large). The worst thing is not only did the lady never call me (she was only flashing) to complain about my client but never told me a simple "Thank you" * Also my lawyer had his 3 phones stolen because he helped 2 ladies and a guy who were being soaked under the rain. All these has never stopped me helping people because I always get repaid by God almost immediately by favours I render to others. When I help people financially, to get jobs, and the rest, I always try never to expect them to appreciate it because ven Dogs, cats and chickens appreciate favours more than man. Man is full of ingratitude. But one thing, if you look forward to the mercy and favour from God, then helping others is just inevitable. Afterall only someone helps someone to be someone in life (Through God).. |
Personally, I will speak for myself. I learned something from experience and noticed the successful people also make use of, and that's " the power of giving". I try never for be miserly/stingy and also never extragavant /wasteful. No one comes with a problem and leaving without having at least some of it being solved. Be it financial, moral or emotional. I have gotten to realize that the more you give the more you get. The sad part is, people always always and always take you for granted when you give. Also people respect and adore people who make them suffer before rendering any form of assistance to them. They hardly value those who help them without making them go through any form of suffering. Inshort, blackman likes things the hard way as that's the only way he appreciates it, and as such people only help after putting someone on the burning furnance. Also don't forget an average black man thinks if he helps you to be successful then who will be there to slave for him and his family. |
This is what nairalanders have to say on your type of partner. https://www.nairaland.com/1011005/god-punishes-people-bad-partners |
Karamy: kip on prayin for him, there is notin God can nt do, divoz is nt d solution probably may be d wost for u.So because you wanted to right just this few senseless lines you had to quote the whole right up? You are so pathetic. The programmer that introduced the "quote button" would have been regretting it by now because of people like you. @Poster few questions; * as a single lady did you date married men? If the answer is Yes! Then don't cry no more. It is the pretty lady called Karma visiting you. * While you were dating him were you too consined with the financial spending? Because if you had paid detials there was no way you wouldn't have known he had such traits except of cause if it was long distance relationship you had with him. * Did you snatch him from anyone or did you dump a serious partner for him because he probably showed more prospects of a rich man who is also a good spender? As a kid I was made to believe that either Good Or Bad never just happened except of cause someone earned it so I will say you are eaning what you worked for. |
Did I forget to also mention the only cereal I take is Golden morn? My Quaker oat could expire without noticing it. Due to my friends yabs and insult, I hide my Golden Morn where they will hardly find it. |
Now if there was a time to be spent if found guilty on this issue, I think mine would have been a life sentence. So unfortunate I don't have any baby around for now that still take baby food so for now my powdered milk suffers drastically for it. I use about 3 tins of powdered milk for the same tin size of milo. I.e, I can buy 3 tins of powdered milk within one month while my milo hasn't even gotten to half. Once I put 2 tea spoon of powdered milk in my cup of coffee or tea, about 4 tea spoon full of powdered milk goes into my mouth. As a kid I was nick named "cat" by my siblings because I sneak to steal baby food or powdered milk. Can remember sometime last year when a friend visited me and started ransacking my kitchen cabinet, lo and behold she found 2 tins of SMA Gold. Omo see wahala, this lady started accusing me of having a wife and baby in the house without telling her. I was so ashamed to tell her I was the "baby" in the house so I had to lie it was for my nephew, when I saw I was going no where with the lies, I had to tell her it was for me. Till she travelled back to the states, she never stopped yabbing me. One day she brought pampers and told me it was for me. We laughed over it and all. But after those tins finished, I haven't bought any more baby food for myself again. I loooooooove baby food so much. |
Yes oh! It is really well. Afterall one man's meat is another's poison. |
Goldieluks: where that acidtalk??I am right here sweet honey, chocolate, vanilla, caramel pie. Your wish is my command. Wetin you want make I do for you? |
^^^ I don't think they are scared of responsibilities. More of them always wanting to be incharge and on top. |
lefulefu: many desperate babes for naija still dey use juju cook food for guys oooo.never eat any food from a woman wey no be ur mama or ur sister!True! Had a girl fight with me 'cus I never allowed her cook for me. Two months later she became pregnant for another guy. By the third month she was married to the guy. I say na God save me. Babe wey dey lousy, quarrelsome, and even dey thief. I for don kill myself if her jazz don catch me. |
This is what nairalanders think on this topic of yours. https://www.nairaland.com/917121/people-still-use-love-charm |
tpia1: See how someone is hiding all the posts on this thread? The dude is one hell of a frustrated soul. He is also hiding HIS LIFE (and not my post). |
WHY WAS MY POST HIDDEN? The moderator is so bitter with life (and not me) he doesn't even know which post to hide and which not to. Unhide my post and let the entire world see the truth in it. This moderators are the ones behind the dwindling nature of nairaland presently. The earlier SEUN does away with sexkills the better for his business. |
@Poster, I am extremely sorry to know it was my thread that you actually got insulted on. I really and sincerely am so sorry but also appreciate your honest contribution on that thread and believe me, I believed you 100%. On a second thought, you really need to thank your Lord that it was a fellow member that insulted you. In my own case I get insulted, banned, topic derailed, topic hidden and criticized by the very same moderators who were instilled to put orderliness in this forum. When I share real life stories and experiences especially on this section (Romance), the moderators do their 'abrakatabra' and then intentionally derail the thread. I complained and complained but Seun and Mukina didn't deem it fit to act on it. Now I just can't but LAUGH when I see the kind to childish and very silly topics springing up and even making the front page. You know what that tells you? The matured people are gradually leaving nairaland.com for the childish ones. That will directly and indirectly affect the forum and Seun in no time at all. Or how else do you expect the moderators to play double standard by taking sides with some members and then castigating those they see as being too popular for their liking. My advice to you dear is that Don't ever take anything on this forum personal. You will only end up spoiling your mood through out the day. In no time at all, Seun and his inner cacus will realize what they have done to themselves. Just scroll through the front page and you will realize how much they have lost idea and focus on what should make the frontpage and what shouldn't. Afterall no be when people still post mature stuffs them go get mature topic to post for there? My dear, once again sorry for getting hurt on the thread I created (a true life story at that). |
And over 3hours this thread is still hanging in here. Whereas if it someone is their black book, it would have since been tossed to the dating section. Useless moderators with the mixed standards. |
