In my hyperthetcal France is supporting Cameroon in a border dispute along with a possible breakaway region in Nigeria. In short there cause beli or justification is Nigerian forces attacked Cameroon and wide spread war crimes. Whether it true or not does not matter. I mean people make up war crimes and ignore real war crimes all the time.


France goal is simply bring the oil fields in to sphere of Influnce of this break away and or Cameroon. Most of the support frome France will be logical, air, naval and limited ground support. Nigeria navy stands no chance and if the NAF get to close to the war zone will die. End result Nigerian Navy and Air force never leave there bases France never attacks the bases. Naval and air Domanice is achieved with maybe one or Two air raids to drive home the point. Possibly putting a guided bomb on to a Nigerian war ship or even just bombing your dry dock and hitting your air base with bombs.


End result Nigeria army fights with no air support, after a few losses concedes defeat. France uses there carrier and Cameroon air bases. Chad will all so be on alert to if need be support. Chad being a French attack dog.



A highly unlikely war but this is the worst case seneinoro but if you plan to fight this then you can beat any thing g lesser.

Speculation on my part, as that's what little Jordan donated to Yemen. I don't see them being able to donate anything else, frankly. Unless they're also expecting some other donation from Uncle Sam. Plus, if it's Ratels, they'll hopefully be adding more Paramount Mbombe as replacement!

Nigeria and Cameroun both operating Ratel, now that would be something. !

The crime is bad as AK stated. Some private security companies even have helicopters to respond. These guys also get medical training to treat people on the scene before paramedics arrive. Basically they are better than the local police in many aspects.

On a related note, there is now a South African company that offers a modernisation programme for the Cascavel, Boomslang Logistics.

The company recently upgraded a number of Cascavels for Zimbabwe. Where the Zimbabwean government got the money to afford this when they can barely pay their troops is beyond me. Maybe they used diamonds from Marange.

Actually that's not entirely true, the later part of the border war consisted of the largest conventional battles on this continent since ww2 ops modular and ops hooper should come to mind!! The whole war might of not consisted out of conventional battles but the last 5 or so years certainly did!!

We fielded mostly light armour as well against Cuba/Angola they inturn fielded hundreds of T55/T62 and T72 with the later 2 being state of thee art for that time and several hundred more than our olifant/centurions i might add!!

Those that bring MBTs down to Southern Africas bushvelt might start wishing they had wheels instead of tracks!!

Absolutely no way Egypt would come remotely close to being able to invade(vise versa) SA even with the current state of the SANDF, they simply don't have enough force projection to even get near us let alone attack us!! Even if they did manage to get to Angola, their majority tracked base army simply wont have the manoeuvrability required for bush warfare.....Angola/Cuba had air superiority over us almost since the start of the border war.....in terms of man power and equipment not only were they as advanced as us but they also outnumbered us 10-1......yet they failed to win a single battle....why's that?

The infuriating part is that they have loads such MiGs that they could have used for display. Hell, we could have just restored some of them to museum display status.

thats why I find it strange that a big country like nigeria has no modern Air defense capacity ,

Lets be honest, it not like you can't see a war coming....Nigeria has the money to potentially build a pretty bad@ss military, only problem I can see with Nigeria is self sustainability since their local defence industry is limited......you could have all the tech in the world, but when you start relying solely on foreign entities for all your spares/armament, then you have a problem, Egypt in that sense is in the same boat IMO

We haven't paid enough attention to mortars,the basis of organic infantry support. Thanks to edited news clips and movie bs most have no idea the damage a SINGLE 120 mm mortar impact has. As the pic shows its roughly a 60 meter radius.!

What about Morocco? They've got a number of Ratels and Elands, which means we've sold them on SA equipment at some point.

Haven't seen these BTR-4 APCs in the pics from the front-lines.

Actually the Egyptians have been good customers of our electronic stuff like EW suites etc. And stuff that goes bang like artillery shells, mortar bombs. And counter-IED systems. And REVA APCs.
As for the RDM story, can only be Egypt or Algeria. Both have an existing relationship with RDM.
