RomanceRe: Signs He/she Is Over You by Adaeze003(f): 11:35pm On Aug 20, 2013
Aquarius
If you are in a love relationship
with an Aquarian you need to have been best friends to start with. As best friends he or she feels entitled to tell you everything, even the fact he or she has fallen in love with someone else. Gradually his or her behavior may become more and more bizarre and aloof. Better to find someone with a heart!

I don't understand this...

RomanceRe: Romance Without Finance Is A Nuisance by Adaeze003(f): 2:04am On Aug 15, 2013
Are men confused? YES!
When he's poor, he'll say 'I can't get married now, I want to make money' then when the money comes its 'all girls are gold diggers/no wife material/where were they when I had no money'. SMH

Still on this same NL, if a girl says she wants a guy with allot of money they'll call her a slut, whor£, gold digger and etc. Yet, most of you are saying 'no romance without finance' undecided

What men want remains a mystery smiley

Hmm... I guess I'm the only one worried about the kids. So you really don't mind your kids listening to you while @ it? Na wa o! And they're very lil so still innocent. When they ask you now you'll lie next thing their gisting their friends and before you know it they'll know you lied. Then they'll become inquisitive, start peeping and next thing they'll wanna practice 'what mummy and daddy do'. Hmm!

Oga pls try and lock that door.

It bothers me also that non of you guys have been able to pin point what she said wrong. All you guys want is to argue abt her religion and compare cultures.lol.
If you guys don't mind, quote the part of the post where she erred. Or if you disagree with the whole post why not counter her points with reasonable arguments so that we'll know where your heads are at. wink
RomanceRe: "Never Let a Man Define Who You Are" - Oprah Winfrey by Adaeze003(f): 4:57pm On Aug 03, 2013
free2ryhme: But what she worships influence the way she go about her things

This same woman, Oprah Winfrey, recently suggested that homosexual couples may in fact strengthen the institution of marriage.

true or false?
Since we're talking religion here, I'm a Christian and I agree with oprah not because she's my role model or mentor(coz she aint) but because it just seems rational and right to me.

Religion affects peoples thinking but its not the only factor. The environment also plays a big role.
Eg, a girl who grew up in a broken home after watching her dad beat up her mum can think that all men are wicked. Another girl who saw her mum doing all in her power to make her dad happy and he not giving a hoot will take that as a norm. Also, a girl who grew up in a home where there was mutual love and respect will also see that as being normal. Hope you get my point now?

This advise has nothing to do with religion.
RomanceRe: "Never Let a Man Define Who You Are" - Oprah Winfrey by Adaeze003(f): 4:28pm On Aug 03, 2013
ighoosagie: nice point, but

my question is :

all men re d same (popular quote frm ladies) , while leave a man 4 anoda man, knowing fully well dat u gonna meet dsame kind. I tink u should leave a man 4 a ghost.cheesy grin
Uhm, just like you guys say 'all a girl wants is money' all generalizations and they aint true. Not every man is violent, not every man is hot tempered, not every man is lazy... The list goes on. No one is perfect yes! But the two parties in a relationship can be happy. It shouldn't be one sided. That's my point.

@free2rhyme the advise has nothing to do with what she worships.
Anyway, that's her opinion, anyone who doesn't agree can disagree as we're not subject to what she says. #she who has ears let her hear#

kwangi: Did you even understand the posts you read?
Misery, misery, all over the place... Are you in misery or is your mother in misery?
Somebody all the way across the Atlantic will project her problems on 'you' and you'll gladly accept.
How the hell did you even connect being miserable to having values?
Na wa o!
I been think say this thread go dead after Onyinyechimara's post, but no! Then Igho made another wonderful post, yet no!
All of una conveniently did "eyes right".
Uhm, to answer you, I'm not in misery n my mum isn't as well.

Now back to the post, the advise is for women who have decided to put their happiness first. Now, if you wanna be happy, why would you hang on to someone who doesn't treat you right? Or is it now impossible for both parties in a relationship to be happy?

I don't still get what the guys are complaining about. If you don't mind, quote the part of the post you're against and tell me why you don't agree or are you against the whole advise? Hmm that means you're saying:

1. We should make excuses for a man's bad behaviour
2. We should change who we are for a man/make a man the center of our lives.
3. Stay with a man even when its clear he's stringing us along.
4.Try to change a man even when we all know that aint possible.
5. Be in a relationship because we are scared of being alone.

Do you now see the living in misery I was refering to?
Try and understand the topic and my post coz I really see nothing wrong with what oprah said.
RomanceRe: "Never Let a Man Define Who You Are" - Oprah Winfrey by Adaeze003(f): 11:38am On Aug 03, 2013
Nice one! I've seen this b4 tho.

Guys, what's wrong with the advise? What's the fuss about? Is it because its oprah that said it or that the advise is wrong?

In my opinion, its all common sense. Being in a relationship/marriage is meant to be about mutual love and respect and not master-slave.

One person talked of values. What's so valuable in misery? Why should a woman be in misery in the name of values?
RomanceRe: Why Are Some Men In Their Late 30s And Upward Single? by Adaeze003(f): 1:33am On Aug 01, 2013
Guys just wanna have fun! Lol...

O well, I don't know the answer to this but two things I know

1. Ladies don't have time for as much fun as guys do. Gals, there's no need to compete with guys for who'll stay single longer as they'll beat us with the advantage of being fertile longer.

2. Guys, feel free to have fun till you're fifty if having children is all you need from marriage coz that's all you'll get. You can still get married to a model but all she'll love is your money. Or if you're poor, you'll just get a woman who is desperate to be called 'MRS'.

All in all, marriage is no joke and should not be rushed into.

O well, who cares? Whatever makes you happy... Do!
