manny4life: Unfortunately, I have to agree with you.

Most six figure earners do not have money saved up on somewhere, some have their money tied up in their asset, some have liabilities and the funny system here is: the more you earn, the more you're likely to pay more. So no, there's no money tied up somewhere, MOST people live from check to check, it's hard for people to save, it takes GREAT FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE to save.
Yes, most six figure earners have Naija " I have arrived mentality" yes, but you are no baller or celebrity. If you buy a used 2008 Toyota Camry instead of that 2013 GL450, it shall be well with u. Yes, you have a pay raise, but not in a geometric progression, so ur expenses shouldn't have to.

Stegomiah: Don't think you live in America or you know about America judging from your post. Except you want to be debt ridden then you can go for every fancy, latest and extravagant things you like or come across.

Even the indigenes i mean the full blooded americans that by default have better opportunities and advantages than you have are frugal and disciplined for them to succeed, excluding those born with silver spoons, ask bill gates, mark zuckerburg, warren buffet their success stories and many more. For an average Man to make it in life you must be purposeful and have a savings, also discipline and denial matters. You don't just buy or eat all goodies your eyes deem fit if you are not very wealthy. Not even in america where you'll find attractive thingsI think the rich are more disciplined than the poor cos they spend mostly on what will make them richer. So bro, frugality is the key to success, save and save for the raining days, by doing so you helping yourself, you'll be the one to reap the benefits, your children will benefit from it. A word is enough for the wise.

Moreover, if you like go for 2014 range rover, luxury home and other exotic and luxury things, except if you are from a wealthy home or very weathy on your own, i mean annual salary above 350grand, then you'll live to tell the story, i know of a family here in Naija, the man earns over 200k monthlY, the wife not working, he has children many(over 5 in number) but he spends lavishly, clubs, cars, women, alcohol... Suddenly he got sick and died, he has nothing to show for except the house he was building for over 6years and not yet completed, i just pity the poor young children, what will they say about their father, Irresponsible is the word. He bought a car of about 8million, that can buy 3 good cars in naija, i ask my self whatl for? They have sold the car now, for the family upkeep. Life is all about choices, so its ya'choice to live whichever way you like, you'll live to tell the story, or someone will tell your story when you're gone, only which story will they talk about?
Your post is aimed at educating the wrong person. Pls reread my post!

Gayigaskia: I live in America for the past 15 years, i make good salary my wife is a RN we have 3 kids, and sometimes we struggle for cash. That situation scares me a lot because our kids are young and really i don't want to live like this having high blood pressure wahala all the time. The problem with America is you don't really own anything, everything is bills on top of that there always things that eat up your savings. ie: charges from late fees, speeding tickets, insurance copays and so on. When you compare to your friends in Africa, they have not many worries as far as kids are concern since you don't have to for baby sitting ; you will have a aunt, cousin, niece to do the home works for you, everything you own is owned straight up , there is no monthly payments wahala. If you are able to open your own business or secure a decent job in Nigeria, it would be way better than living in America.
I hate when people say this. Live within ur means. Don't buy a 2014 BMW X6 because your neighbor has it. Buy a used 2006 car and pay it in full. Don't live in a $500k home, go for $150k and pay 20-30% down. Don't finance ur lifestyle because your friends and co-workers are doing it and it shall be well with u.

ozo_emeka: Don't listen to false crap. Julliard is a TOP NOTCH school for the Arts. Oh BTW they support Nigerians as well . SO THIS IS A "WORKABLE" (is that a word?) advice to give. If you train at Julliard, you are considered the BEST.

"Everybody could tell you how to do it but they have never done it" How many successful Naija/Hollywood artists graduated from these schools?
Don't mix empirical facts with copied subjective facts! If most Nigerians in the US are in medical field, and are doing OK, shouldn't that be enough persuasive arguement why the young lady should be encouraged to follow the trend? BLS stats show that medical fields have lower unemployment rate than communication... Another field is engineering, but u must be a nerd!

I can attest to Tuface's humility! Met him and his crew in a club where they were having fun. He offered the guy constructive critism and compliments..
BusinessRe: GTBank Customer Humiliation by adconline(m): 4:01pm On Oct 15, 2013
superstar1: Tell us where you are working first and let us based your supposed customer centric organisation against these banks customer relationship analysis.

Most of us are not better than them. Let us be real here. We are all Nigerians. How many times have we complained about poor network telecom service, airlines, civil service is even a no go area. How about shop owners abusing you, lectures working students out.

So what are we talking about here?

The OP was rude and arrogant and he is a potential security risk to the bank and was dealt with accordingly. If he likes, let him head to The Hague.
In a country where good customer seevice is not available, service providers are kings. Banks make billions thru customers' deposit and transactions, yet they treat their customers like criminal.. WHY CAN'T BANKS PROVIDE PENS to fill withdrawal and deposit slips?
BusinessRe: GTBank Customer Humiliation by adconline(m): 3:11pm On Oct 15, 2013
Nutase: My problem with Nigerians is that they cannot obey simple instructions. If the bank say they don't want bikes within the premises probaably for security reasons why don't you just obey them. You are probably a very proud and pompous person who thinks the security man is too small to talk to u. I bank with them too and in the north where I am based they allow bikes park at a certain spot not to close to d bank. I have seen lots of customers loose their hard earned money to "private bike" owners like you who snatch things from peoples hands and zoom off and I'm sure that's why they don't allow them park to close to d bank.
Go and check yourself before you start trying to make someone loose his job for your arrogant attitude.
Stupid Nigerians who take everything thrown at them. So bank customers who are bike owner should not go the bank to make transaction? I had a similar experience with bank security officers a couple of weeks ago. Their outside ATMs were not working, went inside to get some money and security officer came to me to tell me to stop talking on the phone.. I was so mad and asked him to go and call his manager... He never came back. Why are Nigerians so crude in their approach? Why do I need to tell someone out there that there is money in the bank? Isn't bank a place where monies are kept? Some bad folks don't need to come inside the bank.. You can snitch on a customer who withdrawals some cash by texting... Not talking!

talktimi: This is just like saying the minister of health should resign anytime a patient dies in hospital. The question we should ask ourselves is why did Associated airlines accept passengers on that flight when the plane was still being serviced with the engineers even on board ? The airline and the ground crew who cleared that plane to lift passengers are the ones who should obviously face the music.
Nope! your attemp at trying to sound intelligent fell flat. Ministry of aviation certifies all Naija planes to be air-worthy before they can be flown. The minister has incompetent and corrupt folks working for her, as such, she is negligent in her duties and must be held accountable.

Another looting opportunity for Politrickians. What Sir Branson of Virgin could not handle, they are trying to reintroduce. How about stopping theses plane crashes and safeguarding our Nation's airspace first? This is like building a brand new hospital for your kid who's unable to pass his MB exams and about to be kicked out of med school.

Car TalkRe: Nissan And Stallion Nigeria Sign Assembly Deal by adconline(m):
taharqa: I honestly do not have the time nor the energy to respond to self-hating TROLLS this evening, but for the sake of others wud quickly make a point:

there is an existing VON Assembly/Manufacturing Line in Lagos which the Stallion Group recently bought over and resuscitated. They are presently producing few cars already to the Nigerian market. Nissan is just collaborating/investing with them in order to expand the Line to be able to produce around 45,000 units of Nissan cars a year. The 1st Nissan cars wud come out of this Line next year, by His Grace.

To make you even more frustrated, I wud like to inform you that Toyota (which already has more than 60% Market share in Nigeria) wud announce its own Manufacturing Plans in a matter of days/weeks.

Others Major World brands wud likely follow. I mean, they wud be CRAZY not to seeing that Nigeria has by far the largest population in Africa, has the largest and the fasting growing Middle Class in Africa and a country which since the beginning of this year have seen an average of 34% rise in car sales for some of these major Brands, and more so after reading/taking due recognition of the details and comprehensiveness of the New National Automation Policy.

Night.
The same Stallion group owned by Vaswani brothers that were charged for Tax evasion. NAFDAC accused them of selling expired/adulterated products.
The same company that bought Volkswagen Nigeria and converted it to a bonded terminal for rice, fish and oil products, is now saying that it's about producing cars.
Are we talking about assembly or manufacturing?
How many drive train parts are they making? Any chance of making power train?
Before you run, you have to crawl first. MOUs are nothing if there are no govt investments in power and infrastructure.
