Investigation in Progress *EVANS AND OUR HUMAN VALUE SYSTEM* God will not change peoples condition until they change their value system On Evans and his likes head lie several chieftaincy titles given by traditional leaders without knowing his source of income Around him flocked several women without knowing what he does for a living Upon his head lie several prayers made by MOG who never heard from the Holy Spirit about who he is. This is how depraved we have become as a society If not for his arrest, he is capable of sponsoring three governors to win next election We all jubilate at his arrest However, we helped in his elevation His neighbours locked up their houses and never bothered to find out who he is... Sat with him probably at Community Monthly Meetings. The Church he attends with his family must have celebrated the "goodness"of God upon his life. Probably acknowledged him as a tither without knowing what he does for a living. Nigeria ambassadors attended his philanthropic projects in Ghana without questioning his source of wealth. Several characters are coming out to contest next election relying mainly on blood money and other cheat induced wealth So what should we learn from this? Let's stop venerating wealth and position that are sudden Let's start valuing excellence that are not necessarily primed on monetary acquisition. Let's go back to core human value of morality in our society If we fail to do these, we might be helping another Evans to rise to stardom Let's not only shine our eyes but also our brains before using our thumbs. May God wake us up from our slumber from the way we gratify honour to people without proper enquiry into the source of their wealth before lording them as esteemed members of our society. Let's emphasize and appreciate the dignity in labour instead of promoting life of affluence and extravagance that heightens societal desperation. My take is this, if you are a farmer, with all your billions of dollars and naira, your still bound to be humble with a low society profile like the rest of the big time farmers around the world unlike the society big names and lousy celebrity. Let's teach and encourage our kids to embrace farming as I believe every farmers knows about toil, seed time and harvest without a sense of desperation and yet guarantees peace of mind. Look around you, be you the Dangote or aspiring Dangote of Africa, The world today and Businesses in Africa is Naturally bending in the dimensional of Agriculture as a noble profession despite all the grammar and PhDs be you a President, Prof, Governor, Director, Medical Doctor, Lawyer, Accountant, Engineer, Graduates and Undergraduates, Applicant, Minister or Senator or the everyday artisan. *Grasscutter Production And Management* Some basic facts about grasscutter with regards to reproduction are as follows: *Sexual maturity:* Male grasscutters mature in 8 months or 32 weeks and they have a minimum body weight of 2.5kg while the female grasscutters mature in 6.5 months or 26 weeks having a minimum body weight of 1.8kg. *Sex ratio:* 1 male can service 4 to 10 females. *Ovulation:* Just like female rabbits (does), female cane-rats start ovulating on sighting a male *Gestation period:* 152 days *Numbers of litters per year:* 2 litters *Number of young per litter:* 3-11 young *Suckling period:* 40 days before weaning *Selection for Breeding* In grasscutter production, random selection should be avoided. You should procure the best animals from the nearest breeding center or another grasscutter breeder. Additionally, when making your selection, it should be based on body weight. All the females within a family should be having almost the same body weight and the male grasscutter should be 0.5-1kg heavier than the females. Don’t buy or breed closely related mating pairs; that is, a male closely related to the females. *Mating in grasscutters* A male grasscutter is capable of mating with many females grasscutters in a single period. The male should be placed in the mating pen and the female grasscutter is moved from her own pen to the male’s pen. Leave both in the pen for 24 hours. *Note:* Don’t move the male to the female pen because it may result to fight and mating may not occur. Also, avoid mating a male that is lighter than the female in weight. *There are two mating options in grasscutter farming:* 1. *Permanent mating :* Here, the male and female grasscutters are allowed to mate together in the same pen but the young are moved to another pen after they have been weaned. 2. *Temporary mating :* Here, the female is placed together with the male until she is pregnant and she is moved to another pen. Both permanent and temporary matings have their advantages and disadvantages. *Advantages of permanent mating* Increased breeding cycle *Disadvantage of permanent mating* *Difficult to identify the mother of each offspring *Less control over reproduction *Risk of cannibalism *Risk of exhausting reproductive females *Under-exploitation of the male *Advantages of temporary mating* *Clear identification of mother and offspring *Excellent management of breeding process *Reduced risk of adult male killing offspring *Disadvantages of temporary mating* Increased investment (several pens needed) Need for larger space to house females Reduced number of litters per female and per year *Gestation* The gestation period for grasscutters or cane-rats is 152 days. After your male and female grasscutters must have mated with each other, it is necessary to check if the female is pregnant. *Pregnancy test* 4-8 weeks after mating, carefully insert a cotton bud into the genital of the female. If it changes color to red, then that grasscutter is pregnant. If there is no discolouration, then the female is not pregnant. *Birth* Newborn grasscutters resemble adult ones. Within a few hours, they can move around. After the female has delivered, she must be provided with enough feeds and water for adequate milk production. *Weaning grasscutters* You should wean your newborn grasscutters 40 days after they are born. This is necessary because any extension will make the mother to grow weak due to prolonged breastfeeding. When weaning, separate the males from the females. You can identify a male grasscutter by distancing the genitals and anus, which is twice as large as those in the young females. *Feed* They feed on almost all kind of root crops, can grass, different type of leaves and vegetables and also there are specially formulated fattening feed from the feed mill just like the rabbit, fishery, piggery and poultry feed sold in bags of 25kg and 50kg. *Cost of breed stock* Ideal male breed stock is sold for #10,000 naira while the female is sold for #8,000 naira; therefore we supply a family of 1 male and 5 female for #50,000. And also 5 females with 2 meals for #60,000 You can call for our Do It Yourself (DIY) E book or reach us at our respective & regional contact offices at *Osun State:* Elders Farm Vet Store by Otaefun garage, Adjacent Otaefun, Police Station, Oshogbo, Osun State. 09099176956, 08034248972. *Enugu:* Vivianco Ventures, Ebony Paint Road, After Saint Martin's Hospital, Gariki, Enugu. 08097875411, 08037791524. *Delta State:* No 3A, Andrew Obire Str, Agbarho, 08063334662. *Rivers State.* No 3, NYSC Road, Alakahia, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. 08063334662. *Oyo State:* DOT SVC & Co LTD. The Moribund Etymology of a Sobbing Green Flag: (Two shillings and a white flag) When you reach at the roaches tomb, everything are daffodil shade; a world sewn for the lost stuck in a five-bar gate. These were the pendulum thoughts of many Nigerians pushed in a buffalo swing. There is no spear for the tiger's tail, no gold dust in Mpape hills but in a doleful threnody that picks a whole life in a dyed coil. A Nigerian child is living life in spirals and unsolicited such that even the grown ups are distorted on a fence. And when there is no dream, there is war as the opium pedlars takes to the street in their placards. But in the Nigerian setting, when there is two shillings, there is a white flag. Some don't need a line to be drawn or designed because the visions are fogbound. when u wake up in Nigeria, you are no longer an Olive Twist but you only live to digest the smell of akara, but cannot trace the dessert aroma to a place in Buhari's kitchen. Nigeria is a weaverbird. We are victims in a juggernaut going for a feudal folklore. we all know that the writings of feudalization has come in white caps, Two shillings for a breakfast, a white flag to arrest starvation. A bowl of pap and corn flakes without calcium and evaporated milk we are sure could be no where repeating the cultural cycle of a long treasured aged great grandparents in our villages anymore only if the villages are still preserved as what it used to be without a dose of the regular African setting cosmopolitan life style as the best yoghurt I know till date still comes from Germany. Hope the farming bird fly high enough and sings far and wide to bring home two shillings and a white flag. Saying the Government is clueless is like a man talking to a house and like a soldier hitting his head on a barrack wall in show of grieviances. What about your predecessor and the successors This Nigerian story of come 2019 or hope of a better government and better candidate to restore back $1 dollar to #1 naira will only continue to be a wishful and elusive dream. The power is already in the hand of the people as the people are their own real problem as we lukewarmly and jokingly embrace Agriculture. 2020 would be soldier go soldier come, If we dont massively embrace agriculture by 75% of the Nigerian population. Even if the best Professor of Economics at Harvard, Yale, MIT and Oxford University becomes the Nigerian President by 2020. The solution to Nigeria is not the party whether PDP, APGA, APC but the solution is the will power for everyone to go back to farming be it on a part time or on a full time basis as it is in most developed nations as Such as Netherland 80% is into agriculture, Germany is 35% into Agriculture, France is 40% into Agriculture, Italy And Spain are 34% and 36% into Agriculture, Canada is 32% into Agriculture, USA has 52% of her population into Agriculture, Russia is 58% into Agriculture, China and Asian countries are 60% into Agriculture, Brazil is 40% of its population into Agriculture, Kenya is 20% into Agriculture, South Africa is 20% into Agriculture, Ghana is 22% into Agriculture, Cameroon is 23% into Agriculture, Benin is 25% into Agriculture, Ivory coast is 28% into Agriculture , While Nigeria is 3% into Agriculture. Nigeria as a country is full of energy as it is geographically sited on the equator belt of the continent. By nature, Nigeria as a country an host of other African countries are all designed by nature to feed the world as the land is not as barren as much as the people who inhabit it psychological wise. We need to open up our head and think outside the limits of our degrees, Bsc, Masters, PhDs and all the plaques of honours. We need to go back to the drawing board, when the white first explored and ransacked Africa, they came primarily in search of food to feed their hungry nations and to take advantage of the richness and quality of our soil. Unfortunately as Nigerians and Africans, we have lost track of such objectives and now chasing shadows, flanking and beating the storms in broom sticks. We may be tech savy but to dream of shouldering up with the USA, Japan, France, Germany or Israel is the 10th wonder of the world!!!! There is a global economic resolution for all countries of the world to look inward for economic revamp and solution to global recession. This initiative is to cub excesses, free dollar splash and wastage extended to the categorically classed 3rd world and developing nations which have retrogressed instead of progressed with such aids, as it has furtherly makes such countries over dependence, over pampered and over spoilt on such privileges and which translates to economic backwardness at our own peril as corrupt African leaders and corrupt citizens feed fat on this freely dolled out cash and foreign currency. Now the resolution is for all and sundry to build a reliable economy and as such for Africa, the only way out is back to Agriculture from the President, Governors, Senators, Multinational Corporation staff to the last man on the streets, metropolitans and villagers to go back to Agriculture be it on a part time or on a full time basis. The only way out for Africa and Nigeria right now is a self sustainable economy through Agriculture. A country that cannot provide food for the least citizen or common man on the street should not be considered fit to take advantage of the export market and should be excused or made docile or relegated to the corners with tail in between the legs among the league of Nations! Nigeria is fast drifting to the edge of the cliff and we are all contributive factor to the new label. Even the worst of the publicly projected Head of States in the Military Era drummed the need to embrace Agriculture to our ears long enough but we were just so thick head and ears to all be chasing the white collar jobs in the cities and building our castles on the over inflated price of crude oil in the oil boom era. Abacha drummed it as the great FUNAAB is one of his legacy as he funded it satisfactorily for human capacity building. Obasanjo drummed it, Buharri drummed it, Gowon drummed it, Ahmadu Bello drummed it, Babangida drummed it, Muritala drummed it, Awolowo drummed it, Nnamdi Azikiwe drummed it, Ojukwu drummed it and I know some of his farms and Ojukwu family owned farm till date after been decapitulated during the civil war that ended 1970. All the past Nigerians leaders have mega farms with which they export their farm produce to Dubai, Europe, Iran, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia with cargo flights and ship vessels except the followers that are easily beguiled party taunting citizens. Cassava, Mango, pineapple, and plantain can't grow in Canada but can grow in Nigeria and a host of other African countries yet Nigeria has the world largest producer of cassava undisputed is having food crisis and shortage of cassava and root crops production to go round. This is the reason for famine as it reflects in the average Nigerian Per Capital income and Purchasing Power Parity!!! Let's quit all the economic jargons and political and media grammar and go to farm. from the President to the governors to the last man on the street! If nothing is done as a collative effort in this regard, expect the Naira to hit #550 Naira to a dollar by 2020 and worse many years to come. However, in the midst of this economic confusion and chaos, the farmers will always have reasons to smile to the bank and give the biggest testimonies in their respective religious gathering in in the worst economic crisis come what may even if the doctors are crying and wailing for salary increment!!! Quote me well, as at the time of this publication, the exchange rate of the Naira to the dollar is at #368 to #376 Naira, I am 100% convinced that by 2019, it will be #750 Naira as we anticipate a better economic atmosphere, believe me things will get worse for you except your a farmer!!! Which ever way, this will be an effort to complement the discretion and effort of those who have made a wise investment, stakes and turn in Agricultural or Agro allied ventures! The only time the white man will respect you as a Nigerian or an African is when he knows you own a farm in your village or compound however small the farm could be and however honorable and dignified your line of profession could be as well! Why must everything in Africa be made like a joke and an animal farm Could it be because we are rich in wild life and games This is one of the worst bill I have ever had, what about a bill to make people embrace farming with passion and a bill to eradicate poverty I believe somebody somewhere is been fooled here. As far as am concerned, such bill is highly unwarranted because it is as dump as spanking a child and asking him or her not to cry. This is more like reminding Nigerians and Africans that no matter what we do, we will always all remain animals be you rich or poor! I expect to hear more of anti corruption and more of antigraft bill to checkmate the excesses of unruly politicians who have made a cabal of the states affairs! Stupidity of the highest order!!! |
I will still continue to go to farm and I wish you all the same |
And so how is this a news![]() |

Average Salary And Monthly Wages Around The World In Comparison To Nigeria And Why Only Agriculture Is The Only Way Out For Nigeria. This is an effort to show the average monthly Salary, wages or monthly net income after tax at a glance as at 1st of May 2017. And to discourage a lot of Nigerians from the desperation of wanting to travel overseas and to sensitize the Nigerian Government To Focus More on Human Capacity and Human Resource Development. Having the exchange rate at US $1 = #376 Naira GBP £1= #415 Naira EURO €1 = #485 Naira It is very true that 92% of Nigerians wallow in abject poverty while politicians makes the kill to fleece the lots of the gullible society, This is to demystify a lot of delusions and wishful assumptions of why many Nigerians will never become a millionaire except you aid and abate corruption,, scam unsuspecting persons with some tortoise Witt, join political bandit and bandwagon, steal; either by pen in the office or by gun, or rather toll the dignify path to success through Agriculture. This is also to help Nigerians in the diaspora to make inform judgement to come back home as stake holders in National Resource And Capacity building and to take advantage of the vast opportunity in the agricultural sector. As I have always held strongly to the quote of bill Clinton on his visit to Nigeria sometimes during the Olusegun Obasanjo Democratic Regime that, "Bulk of Our Solutions Lies In Our Problems; That is the more our problems, the more our solutions and opportunities". Most countries have 3 class of Salary earners except Nigeria with the 8 class of Salary earners. and also that the United States Bureau of National Statistics Stipulates and Posit that anybody earning less than $1,600 dollar or #600,000 Naira per month is under the poverty line and covered under the poverty umbrella. Here Are The Monthly Salary of Countries In Comparison to Nigeria At A glance The USA: 1st Class @ US $10,000 = #3,700,000 Naira 2nd Class @ US $4,166 = # 1,600,000 Naira 3rd Class @ US $ 1,666 = #626,416 Naira The United Kingdom (GBP): 1st Class @ £ 8,750 = # 4,243,750 Naira 2nd Class @ £ 2,250 = #1,091,250 Naira 3rd Class @ £ 666 = #323,010 Naira The Euro zones: 1st Class @ €6,000 = #2490,000 Naira 2nd Class @ €2,000= #830,000 Naira 3rd Class @ € 800 = #332,000 Naira Asian Countries And The Gulf Countries: An average person earns US $208 per month = #78,000 Nigeria Salary Scale And Monthly Take Home Package: Like I already said from Inception, Only On Nigeria we have 8 Classes of Salary which are as follows: 1st class @ $79,787 = #30,000,000 Naira ( For Senators And Other Flamboyant Politicians with their dog, cat, rat, wardrobe, and security allowance inclusive) This is why the Politicians will always see the states affair as a pocket affair and something worth dieing for. 2nd Class @ #2,000,000 Naira plus ( For expatriates Which is now fast eroding and phasing out) 3rd Class @ $1,063 = #400,000 Naira 4th Class @ $ 319 to $664 = between #120,000 to 250,000 Naira 5th Class @ $212 = #80,000 Naira 6th Class @ $132 = #50,000 Naira 7th Class @ $47 to $119 = between #18,000 to #45,000 Naira 8th Class @ $31 to $39 = #12,000 to #15,000 Naira Note!!!! This is in no effort to frustrate the rest of Nigerian youth to stage protest and barricades at government house nor to carry your matrass to start sleeping and queuing up at embassies in mass but to show you the way to the farm as Agriculture is the only way and salvation for the country right now to guarantee you six digits salary and total peace of mind!!!
