PoliticsRe: FG To Reduce Salaries Of Public Servants by ade80: 11:14am On Mar 23, 2012
Nass members earn 81million annually as allowance and you want to reduce the salaries of civil servants that their total annual salary is not up to 5 million.
Why can't Nass reduce their allowances to 10 million annually while the ministers reduce the number of PAs and SAs, then recurrent expenditure will reduce. They should also remove all the ghost workers they put into the system

Every parastatal bribes Nass for various reasons like, getting approval for an over inflated budget, for them to look the other way when irregularities are uncovered in their accounts etc. I am sure she was being stubborn and that's the reason for this charade.

We blame Islamist for being intolerant of other people's religion but we are no better than them if we claim to be Christians and can't tolerate each others culture. talk with your fiancee and let her start working on getting a job or starting a business.

I had a friend who was working in a bank and he got fired a day to his wedding, he had no choice than to go on with the wedding. He started his marriage with no money, his wife was pregnant and did not have a job.

Beaf:
The subsidy is fixed to the price of oil. So when the oil price rises, so does the subsidy. Oga, why do you think you keep hearing that the economy has grown by 8%, but you keep seeing poverty increasing?
When the oil price rises, it mainly benefits the marketers who go to the bank with fatter subsidies. Whether prices are high or low, the marketers win and you lose.

GEJ saw the shiit that was going on and how the system was set up to pay a few, while the rest of us go hungry; so he ordered the removal of the subsidy and those that either think through their arses or get info from the akara sellers rumour spot took to the streets to protest in favour of the marketers. Talk about being blind and shooting oneself in the foot.

Now the same GEJ is saying he doesn't want to see the old SURE document being circulated, because it would amount to deceiving people which he doesn't want to do; the vultures in the NLC and on NL have started screaming for him to tell lies as if they are going to supply the difference between N141 and N97 for the SURE programme. The new SURE programme has to be N44 per litre less than the old SURE. That is common sense.
As someone pointed out before, what about the savings from the excess 24million liters that was discovered during the subsidy panel.

This NLC leaders are something else. Someone budgets to invest on income of N76 and eventually you forced him to reduce the income to N34 and you still want him to spend on his initial budget of N76 income. Is he going to steal the remaining N42? Funny how these people reason. The president said he is working on the new plan on N34 he is getting now and not to deceive you with his former budget on N76 which is no longer realistic and you are showing your fuulishness by saying president should revert to N65 pump price.
what are you talking about, the price being reduced and sure being formed all happened in a week, why didn't they make their plan on N34 then, why did it take them a month to realise that.

@ Pro- wearing cycling shorts as undergarment posters;

SMH.

Why wear cycling shorts for venus's sake? Ehn? Wetin be tights? Why would a non-cycler wanna wear that uber uncomfortable fabric all day long?

Like I said, panties/booty shorts, and underskirts are good alternatives.

Wearing oranger CS beneath your little black dress is super tacky!

@ the posters that managed to bring white woman into the dicussion;

Really? White women wear cycling shorts as undergarments? shocked Clowns!
yes white woman wear tights or spanx and how many people have you seen wearing CS, ALOT OF GIRLS WEAR TIGHTS OR SPANX

cantell:
The material used in making the tights they wear are not cotton, but rather something like polyester fabric.
The kind of heat it generates alone within a short period of time, can roast a full yam. It's like using nylon as an underwear.
Go figure!They have no clue at all.Rolling on da floor!Chineke mee! Tights on top of underwear?
*faints*
please except you have shopped for undies before, please educated yourself a lot of people wear spanx or tights not cycling chorts and they are made of breathable material not nylon, except you are touching every woman's underwear, you might not know the differnce go to www.spanx.com and see.

SLS has done well,atleast we can still save and withdraw our money without blinking an eye, to all those bankers living above their means,welcome to reality.
Yes they stole, almost all bank exec steal and they should have all been made to face the consequences of their actions. In the last month before the acquisition of  intercontinental bank, the bank actually made profit and would have continued to grow strong if it was given a fair fighting chance. Why didn't Cbn mandate the debtors to pay, because the agenda was to make sure that the bank would not survive. Do you know how much this banks were sold for?

White people wear spanx so what is wrong with Nigerians wearing tights if they can't afford spanx and body magic. Although they do need to tone down the colors.

@Kobojunkie

you are clearly missing my point or choosing to not understand my point.

the point is simple, in the 1980's we used much less electricity than we use today, most of Nigeria in 1980's were not on the national grid. Today we have a higher popultion and much more of Nigeria is connected to the National Grid and as a nation we are all now much more aware, the average Nigerian consumes more electrcity today than 30 years ago.

As such the obvious lack of investment (notice lack of investment does not mean money was not voted for this investment) is now the cause of power blackouts all over the country. Even if we go back overnight to 1980's usage of electricity our old decrepit infrastructure will not cope as well as they did 30 years ago.
yes, the average nigerian consumes more electricity than in 1980, but the average nigeria also pays more for electicity than they did in 1980 after paying contributing to buy the transformer. Btw was phcn tariff not increased last year.

Provided the $4million comes from their (Northern) leaders collective financial contributions. The infected people were mining lead locally. They brought it upon themselves. This shouldn't be a Federal issue at all!
They were mining gold not lead and FYI hundreds of people in Nigeria have lead poison from the fumes produced by the low grade petrol we use. Their own is on a larger scale cause of the direct contact and govt should use this as an opportunity to revive the mining sector and enforce safety regulations.

Amazing, to be honest, I sure don't believe this thrash, violation victims often hard a hard time proving their case because it's often con-intimate, they found DNA yet they did not find any bodily hurt, scratch, bruise etc, Please, the man should hire a top defense attorney from the TOP 10 and have the judge dismiss the case. Obviously, the Dr. crossed the professional ethics boundary by sleeping with patients. Talk about other victims, not until this, they are coming out in their horde accusing the man, ain't that some real sh.it? I'm sure if they hire a private investigator, I'm almost certain that these "alleged accusers" are somehow interconnected.
The doctor should have followed the standard practice of having a female nurse in the room while he examined the patient.

Corruption will never stop overnight, do the right thing at the right time. He should stop the corruption from himself, let him set example simple. There are poor people in that church that can barely feed one square meal a day, but he will still collect tith from them, who fis killing who??

I never benefited from any corruption, rather GEJ was on the right track to end corruption, still he Bakare doesn't even understand the foundation of this so called corrupton that he is trying to fight now.

I still repeat when is Nigeria going out to tell federal government that enough is enough on the issue of security in our country?? why should i protest for nothing, which i know quite well that at the end, thesame story ?? Politician are evil people, they can only tell you ok, we have cut this and that, but at the end their pakage or allowance remain thesame so why not channel that your energy for protest to something meaninful than engage the youth for unessary protest. WHy don't Bakare engage the youth to protest for resource control?? if they are taking about resource control i will be in the fore front with Bakare

What is the outcome of the last protest, Peter esele or whatever he is called, sold out Nigeria, SNG is not recorgnice if they are recorgnice they could have continue with the protest untill FG go back to N65.
People pay tithes because they want to, nobody goes to collect the money from them by force, and some churches do have a welfare program for poor church members.
