dabossman: Help me tell them o. Even in the UK there are roads that are tolled, and boys dey jejely take longer routes to avoid paying tolls. It's optional. You don't have to ply that route. Sometimes, I think we Nigerians want everything free. Free education, free health care, free food, free water, free light, even free wife tooIf you can show me the longer route, I will gladly take it. The beach road has been walled off after they discovered that most SUV's take that route and oniru residents are protesting about their estate being turned into an alternative road. And the traffic at that toll gate ever morning defeats the purpose of it being a faster route cause that is The only route |
pDudd: Shiii!ttt!!Then try reading any of Rebecca brown's books. |
FrontPageLawyer: No disrespect to your mum. But which of the Lagos is she referring to? Yes Fashola is developing ONLY the Island where the elites live and have their businesses, but not the entire Lagos. And where he also milks them dry by imposing toll fees btw I heard the new lekki ikoyi toll fee is going to be 500 naira |
Choi! Naija. . .we like Awoof! Lmao!! ![]() Go to the website of any Higher institution, under the Tuition, Fees and Grants. . .one of the ways they suggest you could use to pay for your tuition is to find a company who is willing to take up that investment and the return for that company is that you work for them for a specified time. On the getting sacked and still being asked to pay. . .errr. . .If you get sacked, then obviously you weren't meeting up to expectation. I have never heard of an OUTSTANDING worker getting sacked, so you must really suck at the job to be sacked. . .in that case, why on earth won't they ask for their money back??!! I am seriously laughing my behind off at the so called lawyer saying it is illegal. Where did you get your law degree. . . at the bottom of a cereal box?!
In this case, the training is for about three months and I am sure the person already had a degree so he was not trained by the bank |
So the LASTMA officers took the Pictures and Video that would exonerate the woman they accused of murder? Let's take a few minutes to think about how that sounds shall we?
Probably the people that had gathered to watch the drama of the woman and the lastma officers. Almost everyone has a camera phone these days. |
Johndoe100: For once dayokanu is right. Nigerian women are all like this. No matter the good intentions at the start of the issue as time passes the issue of "drop chop money" must bring forth the witch in them. That is not true, I stood by my husband when he lost his job and even by family had no idea how tough it was for us back then cause I refused to drag him down. A woman that humiliates her husband cause he lost his job is stupid. |
Dosoq: Hmmmm, wich part of lagos is dis o?Ozumba mbadiwe |

Beaf: Incandescent bulbs should be banned. Thats similar to whats happening in developed countries. Please read about the health implication of this bulbs http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-506347/An-energy-saving-bulb-gone--evacuate-room-now.html http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7172662.stm |
crackhouse: It's good to launch energy bulbs but the best thing he would have done is to stop the importation of 60w, 200w, 100w etc because that's the only thing that will make Nigerians to stop using them. For instance, a piece of 15w small energy bulb{original one} is not less than 400naira and 60w bulb is 50naira, now how will sb spend 400naira to buy energy bulb when he is aware that he can buy 60w bulb for 50naira?. U can see clearly that most nigerians can't afford to spend such an amount on bulbs & this means that if u have to change the whole bulbs in ur home {say 6pcs} to energy bulb, that means u will spend 400 * 6 = 2400naira on bulbs alone in this our land of poverty. So the only time most Nigerians will be forced to buy the bulbs is when there is no alternative.Energy-saving light bulbs are so dangerous that everyone must leave the room for at least 15 minutes if one falls to the floor and breaks, a Government department warned yesterday. The startling alert came as health experts also warned that toxic mercury inside the bulbs can aggravate a range of problems including migraines and dizziness. And a leading dermatologist said tens of thousands of people with skin complaints will find it hard to tolerate being near the bulbs as they cause conditions such as eczema to flare up. The Department for Environment warned shards of glass from broken bulbs should not be vacuumed up but instead swept away by someone wearing rubber gloves to protect them from the bulb's mercury content. In addition, it said care should be taken not to inhale any dust and the broken pieces should be put in a sealed plastic bag for disposal at a council dump ? not a normal household bin. None of this advice, however, is printed on the packaging the new-style bulbs are sold in. There are also worries over how the bulbs will be disposed of. alj harem: There are still choices available for those that want their wheat. But the flour produced in NIGERIA AS A COUNTRY MUST contain cassava. that is all. for those that want wheat, they can buy the imported ones. Why must it contain cassava? Imagine baking cake with cassava flour? Soon we will want to add yam flour and corn flour |
That means that they don't have a lot of induced labour there, cause you can't be induced and not shout |
calaway: I LIKE YOU SIDE LINE POSTURE. EVEN YOU GENERAL OVERVIEW IT IS VERY AMUSING. PLEASE TELL US WHICH ETHNIC GROUPS KILLS OTHERS ETHNIC GROUP EVEN IN THEIR PLACES OF WORSHIP?Don't ever say that where did I insult or curse anybody, I lost a family friend in the militant attack in port harcourt, so I know how it feels so don't you dare wish evil on me or my family cause it will come back to you a million times. Can't you just state your issues without cursing please get off my case idiot. |
I think you people need to research about something called the yinon plan and how it relates to Africa. The sooner all ethnic groups put their differences aside, the better for this country. Even children of the same parents don't always believe in the same things but we can all learn to find a common ground. |
princey83: That's your answer above. The only concern is that building bigger roads means increase in vehicular traffic. Car ownership is going to increase hence more traffic on the road. The world is now moving on to sustainable means of transportion. The good thing is that he is atleast doing something unlike some other governors that are busy siphoning funds to their private accounts.Duh........The project is undertaken wholey by LASG and not a PPI.......freee of charge from all the tax uve been paying..The more reason you SHOULD KEEP PAYING UR TAX...
The Lekki- bordillion bridge is also wholly LASG and it is being tolled so what stops them from tolling this. |
The U.S. military command in Africa, AFRICOM, has trained thousands of officers on the continent, including the young captain that overthrew his own government in Mali, this year. “If AFRICOM’s protégés have taken careful note of how the U.S. military is routinely used to try and take whatever the U.S. wants in Africa, often without regard for law, custom or prudence, it is not hard to imagine how or why Amadou Sanogo might do the same thing in his own country.” Sanogo, in his late 30s, organized the mutinying soldiers at the Kati military camp to storm the presidential palace, about six miles away in Bamako, reported the BBC. Since then Sanogo has appeared forceful and confident at the helm of the junta, even though things have spiralled out of control. Sanogo received military schooling in the US, including intelligence training, according to the BBC, as part of the US effort to give stability to Mali and boost the battle against Islamic extremists. |
ISRAEL AND LIBYA: PREPARING AFRICA FOR THE "CLASH OF CIVILIZATIONS" Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya Under the Obama Administration the United States has expanded the "long war" into Africa. Barack Hussein Obama, the so-called "Son of Africa" has actually become one of Africa's worst enemies. Aside from his continued support of dictators in Africa, the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) was unhinged under his watch. The division of Sudan was publicly endorsed by the White House before the referendum, Somalia has been further destabilized, Libya has been viciously attacked by NATO, and U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) is going into full swing. The war in Libya is just the start of a new cycle of external military adventurism inside Africa. The U.S. now wants more military bases inside Africa. France has also announced that it has the right to militarily intervene anywhere in Africa where there are French citizens and its interests are at risk. NATO is also fortifying its positions in the Red Sea and off the coast of Somalia. As disarray and turmoil are once again uprooting Africa with external intervention, Israel sits silently in the background. Tel Aviv has actually been deeply involved in the new cycle of turmoil, which is tied to its Yinon Plan to reconfigure its strategic surrounding. This reconfiguration process is based on a well established technique of creating sectarian divisions which eventually will effectively neutralize target states or result in their dissolution. Many of the problems afflicting the contemporary areas of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Southwest Asia, South Asia, East Asia, Africa, and Latin America are actually the result of the deliberate triggering of regional tensions by external powers. Sectarian division, ethno-linguistic tension, religious differences, and internal violence have been traditionally exploited by the United States, Britain, and France in various parts of the globe. Iraq, Sudan, Rwanda, and Yugoslavia are merely a few recent examples of this strategy of "divide and conquer" being used to bring nations to their knees. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=27786 |
This is all little but theatre. The US bought a ticket to a play staged in Afghanistan and has found themselves unable to find the exit. This one will be quieter as this is Africa, it will be black people killing black people. Few will notice, fewer will care. Those with a stake notice, they care, but their agenda has no room for human life. Image if Mexico Were Made a Country with the U.S. and Canada - Would it be Realistic to Call it a County? Nigeria is a tinderbox beyond imagination. Decades old hatreds and fears are closer to the surface here than even in the Balkans. This is a very dangerous game some have chosen to begin. Were they available, and who is to say they aren’t, Nigerians would gleefully use nuclear weapons to settle domestic differences. Nigeria, is, in itself, a construct that never should have existed. The North is Muslim, the South is Christian, each side having nearly 100 million people and neither half is united in any way. Nigeria is a ripe plum for those who recognize such things and recognizing such things is how predators have come to dominate world affairs. The history after colonial occupation is one of military dictatorship and corruption at levels unimaginable. Nigeria is Africa, the most populace country, the most oil and gas wealth, the greatest economic potential, the biggest potential market. Thus, Nigeria is a target. A note from a friend in the region choosing to weigh in with information generally not for public consumption: http://www.veteranstoday.com/2011/11/14/nigeria-targeted-for-destruction/ |
