991: why are Yorubas always afraid of disintegration of Nigeria, they don't even love the country more than other tribes but they are obviously afraid and uncomfortable whenever we talk of separation. the fact is that the Biafrans are not even interested in south-south oil, we just want a sovereign nation of our own and we can build it with human resources. Am Yoruba and for one am not afraid of disintegration rather it's what I'd prefer. I'd like to see the Biafran Republic, The Federal Republic of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Northern Nigeria and of course Niger Delta Republic. This way it makes life really safer for us all. NB: 1901 Lagos was amalgamated into the southern Protectorate. 1914 North and Southern Protectorate were amalgamated |

Question: Does the constitution officially recognize the position of the first lady. If so what are the provisions the constitution made for such an office. Thank you. |

99% of the time i think about this country it just looks like a lost cause. But who knows there might just be a 1% chance of getting things right in this country. But with this set of leaders, that 1% is so so so bleak. |

subterfuge: wwell the man jonathan is a sad disaster. Disaster couldn't have put it better myself.About the army i don't quite agree. There's a saying- "An army of sheep led by a lion is better than an army of lions led by a sheep." And in Nigeria's case we know that our president really need to go on diet consisting mainly of liver. 3 Likes |

I use wordpress because of its simplicity. It's 'more' geared towards publishing contents. Thereby making the task of letting clients understand how to administer their site quite easy for me. Timileyin: JOOMLA, is a programming platform on its own and as the largest libraryWhatever php can do wordpress can do thats why it has plugins which are written in php ![]() |

Well my camp director taught me to always find my own comfort zone amidst the chaos. So camp wasn't distasteful like that. However i still consider it a balant waste of time and manpower. Well i also learnt that not all Borno people are Boko's. The southern Borno is where the christian Borno and educated elites live. My friend Tanko is from borno state and he's a catholic along with his friend matthew we were all at Iseyin camp Oyo state. So thats what i learnt in camp. Religion in general teaches honesty. But even before that good parenting and upbringing taught me to never take whats not mine and should i find it return it to d owner no matter how nice it looks. This stance is only strengthed by religion. Further living by the neighbour's principle of doing unto others what you'd want them to do to you is a golden rule that should guide each and everyone. 1 Like |

Canada is a gr8 country even in terms of of IT. Uni of toronto is the highest rated for CS followed by UBC. And canada has relatively cheaper fees for its masters program. Immigration laws there are also 'friendlier' |

See its not that the people are short sighted or totally stupid, the problem lies in the fact that the people over the years have been subjected to gross amounts of lies and unfulfiled promises. Everyone knows better than to believe any word that comes out of the mouth of their rulers. And so far just few have taken the effort to gain the trust and support of their people. It's understandable to tell people to endure increased hardship today, so that they could enjoy a better tomorrow. But for any leader, its his moral responsibility to champion this cause by setting the pace in implementing these tough decisions. A step is cutting down drastically his allowances and those of his senators and his officials in general. Another would be to implement the open government model where information is available to public scrutiny. These would enable the people to have some faith in the government. Imagine let's say before the removal of subsidy, Gov. Fashola places a petrol tax in Lagos, do you think it would have met so much uprising and opposition like this ? The governor isn't the perfect example but he's showed us that he could be CREDIBLE to an extent. The government should learn not to put the cart before the horse. History of economic thought tells us that the first generation of industrial workers had to pay the price for development of Europe's industrialization and wealth. However, history of nigerian leadership tells us not to trust our leaders or allow them to further impoverish us. The scars of S.A.P and the wild spread of corruption of the previous republics haven't been forgotten. |
