mitwitdot: The poster forgot to mention they illegal mines causing the lead poison. It is now a multi million dollar venture and so many people are on these illegal miners payroll. Including the communities that thier children are dying of lead poisoning, state environmental agencies, police force etc. Lets get our facts straight before pointing fingers. If you clean the place up, a thousand more illegal mines will spring up to replace the old ones...is just the "nigerian syndrome".

Sure why not just shut the mines down? or have the mine operators also paid their dues to the most corrupt one

This is a simple meal suitable for vegetarians. I've been trying to stay off meat, but sometimes, the craving gets really strong just like vampires thirst for blood.

I feel for the guy. Maybe in some years this disorder might just be curable
Religion / Re: Photo: The Testimony Of The Unbeliever by adewaleafolabi(m): 10:00pm On Dec 03, 2012
crap of a country why am i not surprised? When universities keep teaching crap and after 4+ years would be happy to have produced graduates, killers called Doctors. This is just 1 out of the numerous cases of Nigerian doctors carelessness. My aunty had SLE and yet doctors were treating her for typhoid until it had worsened and internal organs were failing. Another case of cancer of the oesophagus being treated as ulcer, until a visiting specialist came and detected she was being treated for the wrong thing. It was late. She passed on. I don't blame the doctor's per say, its the crap of an educational system they went through. You can't give what you don't have.
And the ****** at the helms of affairs don't care, since they can easily fly to Germany even for common cold.

And before some Nigerian apologist comes now and start screaming it happens everywhere, visit UCH,head to LUTH go to LASUTH before commenting.

Politics / Re: AK47 Rifle Recovered In Islamic School Mosque Full Of Almajiris In Niger-police by adewaleafolabi(m): 8:20am On Nov 27, 2012
haxan919: Those who seek to depict
Muslims as shedders of blood are
mistaken; Islam is a religion of
affection, compassion and love
In recent times in particular, some Christians
have been making a number of unrealistic
claims regarding Muslims. These people
depict Muslims as bloodthirsty and
oppressive individuals, using specific
incidents as evidence, in their own eyes at
least, even though this is all a very far cry
from the true facts. They interpret, in their
own eyes, the oppressive system that
manifests itself in a number of areas of the
world and that various forces unjustly seek
to ascribe to Islam, in disfavor of the Islam
faith. They try to give a totally different
impression of the Islam revealed in the
Qur’an, citing various wars that took place
out of necessity in the past, in which
Muslims were obliged to defend themselves.
This is a grave and groundless calumny. The
people in question are unacquainted with
Islam, are unaware of the true face of
those who perpetrate cruelty in the name of
Islam and are unable to evaluate the state of
affairs in question in a healthy and rational
manner.
The people who make this claim imagine
that it is genuine Muslims who abide by the
Qur’an that spread terror in the name of
Islam. The fact is, however, that they have
nothing to do with the Qur’an or Islam. The
great majority of the well-known terrorist
leaders today are intelligence agents who
have been trained for purposes of
provocation. These are members of well-
known intelligence agencies in America and
Europe and receive their instructions directly
from those intelligence organizations. All
these people have received a Darwinist and
materialist education. They are people who
are unable to properly appreciate Allah, who
fail to live by the true Islamic moral values
commanded by Him, who live far removed
from the fine, warm and loving moral values
of our Prophet (saas) and have fallen under
Darwinist indoctrination. They are people
who have agreed on the errors of
Darwinism, that conflict is the only road to
progress and that violence and oppression
are essential components of life. The fact
they may appear to be Muslims, belong to
any Muslim country or that their identity
documents state they are Muslims does not
alter that fact. These people live on an
entirely Darwinist world view. This is how
they evaluate the people around them:
according to the errors they have accepted
“human beings are slightly more developed
animals; they have no souls personal
identities or responsibilities. In any animal
community, the weak must be weeded out
and eliminated.”

People like you should learn where your true battle lies. Stop wasting time in trying to educate or correct a bad notion which some Christians have acquired due to your brothers actions, rather go on to your brothers and show them the errors of their ways and prove to them really that their knowledge of Islam is wrong and lead them into the true teaching of your prophet.

Politics / Re: 20 Ladies Killed In Maiduguri For Wearing Mini-Skirts & Trousers? by adewaleafolabi(m): 8:00am On Nov 24, 2012
"the Southern people who are swarming into this region daily in large numbers are really intruders. We don`t want them and they are not welcome here in the North. Since the amalgamation in 1914, the British Government has been trying to make Nigeria into one country, but the Nigerian people are different in every way including religion, custom, language and aspiration. The fact that we`re all Africans might have misguided the British Government. We here in the North, take it that `Nigerian unity` is not for us".
- Sir Alhaji Abubakar Tafawa Balewa 1952 in a speech in the Northern House of Assembly, Kaduna.

Really, you just have one life don't waste it on Nigeria, its not worth dying over. Southerners and Easterners Please go back home.

Even if federal government is useless, should corporate bodies be wasteful? Why not use the existing fingerprint database from NCC and match accordingly. Then again with the stupid bureaucracy and gross incompetence found in our ministries, simple information sharing might prove impossible and thus the need for financial bodies to independently capture their own data.

k2039: Capital punishment for corruption.

I laugh in yoruba, who are this people decieving.

Frankly,it will never become a law, because the people who will enact it are also corrupt.

Nigerians should not be gullible to believe this will work. This is just another ranting.

Do not be deceived. Even if this becomes a law, it would never have effect on them. Are we quick to forget Yerima? who was spearheading Sharia in Zamfara state, when his brother was arrested for money laundering and tried bribing Ribadu, did Yerima call for his brother's arm to be cut? or better still have you seen any person whose hand was chopped off and was rich?

Are you familiar with the term PIPE DREAM? and in between nothing stops them from adapting this for other applications such as cars, imagine never having to pay for fuel again
Family / Re: If Your Husband Did A Paternity Test For Your Children? by adewaleafolabi(m): 7:20pm On Nov 08, 2012
Truckpusher: Are you a cultist?

Cultist ? Am not one oh! Confirm child of God oh!
The reason why they use the mother's name is because there's just a slim chance that a person's mother isn't his/her real mother, but there's a big chance that someone who one considers father might not truly be one's biological father.

It is customary to call someone by His father's name, but imagine preparing a spell or incantation using bla bla bla son of so so so and it turns out the person is an illegitimate child? What happens to the spell? Its invalid, therefore to guard against such, its safer to use the mother's name.

Also for the person suggesting a nationwide excerise of paternity test, thats just recipie for nationwide chaos and anarchy in its purest and deadliest form!

What most of them don't know is MTN will invest close to $1billion in two years on their network in Nigeria alone. That's a lot and I don't expect them not to get it right with such a huge investment

Hmm but remember Nigeria is a place where all form of normal reasoning and common sense is defied. I won't be surprised if after spending that amount, service becomes worse or just a bit better than the current level of crap
