HQ: No one can make a "better"product without taking some cues from the older product. It was never about the consumer or you either, its all about the MONEY. |

At least the magistrate was sensible enough to give them community service instead of a jail term. Others should learn from her and give out community service, the prisons are congested and in very poor condition |

ekt_bear: Well thats one way of seeing things. But computers today just like in the movies have minds of their own and am yet to know of any case in which a pc went rogue by itself and tried killing people. "guns don't kill people, people kill people" |

What we would be nice to see is two dying companies (Nokia & Blackberry) merge. Who knows what might come out of it but certainly not an iphone killer or even Galaxy challenger. Both companies are a victim of their own unwillingness to embrace change |

I had used adobe AIR at some point. It allows the use of javascript, actionscript as well as flex. It had the advantage of building apps across platforms without having to worry* it had a feature called captive runtime. Which just means you can create an app which the AIR runtime is integrated already. Therefore write a program and just run on another pc no installation needed. It allows you to run apps on ioS just choose that while exporting from flash builder. |

Thanks for the tips. Point no 5 worked for me also. I remember burning 450 calories @d Gym using the cross trainer non-stop for like 30mins . Thats like my personal best. Vegetables also help. Early breakfast as well as avoiding eating dinner late is also important |

bubadaniel13: when Goarge Bush invaded Iraq he was advised not to do so he still went ahead with the war, today he is regretting,it is not better to avert something than allowing it to happen and then regret?u may not like GEJ but to me he has a good heart and is also a good leader,he is ur president live with that ok A "good" heart or honesty is not a factor of production. Its not tangible and seriously is a liability. Lots of people with good intentions are in jail, lots of people have been sincerely killed. What Nigeria needs isn't a government that gives sincerity of heart as an excuse for irresponsibility but a government that understands the plight of the people as well as the problems confronting the Nigerian country, and RISING up to provide sustainable and efficient solutions to the age long problems. 1 Like |

https://www.nairaland.com/1052476/asus-a42f-battery-needed The post above was banned by the antispam bot, the justification for this i don't quite understand. I'd assume it was an error in the program's logic. Kindly help release this post. Thank you |

Everything has its place in the world. And at the current situation of things, a Republican approach would be quite efficient in stemming this new wave of crisis over a movie. |

lacasa: I can categorically say this is a clamour for more cash. Lets not delude ourselves, has the House of Rogues and The Stealers all of a sudden now realised its time to do the right thing? I smell foul play here, everyone wants a well stocked share of the new 5000 naira note. Imagine GEJ giving a peace offering say 50million to each members for starters, would they still be shouting Impeachment, may be some few, but majority would quickly put their difference aside. Ghana-must-go is a game changer any day any time! But should the Legislooters eventually go ahead with the impeachment and succeed, then i'd have a rethink about this country and apologize for calling them rogues and thieves |

na2day!: That my friend is the simple difference between Democrats and Republicans. Imagine this happening during Bush's tenure. To add salt to injury, the Egyptian President didn't even offer an apology for the deaths cause rather he was preoccupied with calling for the 'head' of the film producer. |

apala911: The trademark patent right of the naira notes in circulation is owned by non-Nigerians, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has revealed. Basic economics teaches about the types of forces that determine day-to-day activities: economic (invisible hand), social and political forces. 4 years in Economics school taught me that Economic principle and theories fail when it comes to Nigeria. Why? simple, Nigeria is riddled with a messy interplay of political forces driven by sheer and shameful greed. Commonsense would tell us the simple use of the N5,000 - More of looting. Look at it what does the N5000 enable people to do? Is it not making it more convenient to hold more of money in cash? isn't this negating the principles of a cashless economy? More cash being untraceable creates is just the perfect environment for criminals Rather than making N5000 we should be withdrawing higher denominations from circulation, as well as properly implementing penalties for cash handling. That way people would be forced to use cashless methods. Eventually reducing illegalities and making people generally more accountable. A branch of Economics that Nigeria needs is Common Sense Economics. 3 Likes |

Pukkah: What's this lawyer talking about? I don't see anything wrong in what the Bayelsa state government has done (new flag and anthem). Is Nigeria not a Federation? Is a state within the Federation not entitled to its seal, flag and anthem? kindly permit me to say that "Your head is there" Its time to demand for true federalism or even better still a confedracy or common wealth of sovereign states. |

Hi, I need to offer a service that would utilize sms shortcodes. I got in touch with txtNation and everything seems to be fine, their apis aren't cumbersome and works well for what i have in mind. However, i found out that the minimum my users would be charged for using the shortcode is #30.00 Naira. For me that's just the deal breaker. Could someone recommend a shortcode service that would charge subscribers as low as 3.00 or at worst #5.00. Thanks |

Oh sure i'd watch GEJ address the nation. Oh i forgot NO LIGHT. But there's the GENERATOR. Oh just remembered FUEL SUBSIDY hike in price of fuel. Let me still buy the fuel anyway. Just remembered LATE PAYMENT OF ALLOWEE The best response so far is the DANA AIR Ticket. Thanks that really lightened up my mood. |

Sure it downloads in other download managers. I've tried it in wget, aria and even IDM. The naming function isn't efficient like u mentioned. I tried looking in the prozlib/prozilla.h |

Thanks. Supplying that url into some other download manager would guess the filename as videoplayback. This problem only happens with youtube given the length of the url and the associated filename. |

First off I do not write C/C++ . I have a problem with Prozilla despite it being a great download accelerator, you can even specify the number of connections it should make to a single file and they all run simultaneously ![]() For example sending the url below into prozilla, prozilla would begin, display the file size and exit http://o-o.preferred.mia05s03.v13.lscache1.c.youtube.com/videoplayback?upn=1Q0vivBJ9xA&sparams=cp%2Cid%2Cip%2Cipbits%2Citag%2Cratebypass%2Csource%2Cupn%2Cexpire&fexp=919313%2C907217%2C907335%2C921602%2C919306%2C922600%2C919316%2C920704%2C912804%2C913542%2C919324%2C907344%2C912706&ms=au&itag=44&ip=96.0.0.0&signature=A5AEAB1804FC5FCF49D97D69716DFB08BC643472.7BC23258BE4F31D489D80E0E1ADE0198EC13FFB4&sver=3&mt=1339825213&ratebypass=yes&source=youtube&expire=1339848966&key=yt1&ipbits=8&cp=U0hSTlhPVl9LUENOMl9QSVpKOjZpX0d0RXA1YzNp&id=52bed0051ff082d6. I propose a rule can be added for prozilla to truncate a file name and limit it to maximum of 15 characters or even add an argument to it to enable users specify the desired filename eg prozilla -o=my_desired_filename url Here's the link to the source code: ppa.launchpad.net/tahutek-team/prozilla/ubuntu/pool/main/p/prozilla/prozilla_2.0.4~precisebuild1-0tahutek1.tar.gz Thanks |
