I hope we are not arguing for the sake of it. I am aware that the law sees murder and manslaughter as crimes. But suicide? What is the punishment for someone that may have committed suicide? Jail term? Though the CP may not have made the comment (personal preference anyway) I doubt if he was wrong as regards the correctness of the statement because anyone indeed reserves the right to kill himself or herself but not another person. |
MrCrackles:And why is Saudi Arabia's embassy in the US one of the most guarded embassy? Why have they not turned Saudi Arabia upside down? Why have they not turned Venezuela upside down? |
Becomrrich:Trust him, the issue must have a link with maps. 70 countries? Na pilot abi na "mapist" hin be? Are the travels normal ones or mind travels? |
This is a good step. Simply subject the Americans to the same treatment Nigerians face at their airports. This is logical and right, after all it is all about airport security and fight against terrorism abi?. |
jjjkkkooo:If you have good knowledge about the tools you listed above then why are you looking for a training school? There are a lot of real world problems out there that need software solutions to tackle them. Go ahead and try to do that and you will be amazed how far you can go. |
OBJ remains the best president we have seen in Nigeria and you don't need a magician to tell you this. As far as development in Nigeria is concerned you cannot question his passion and commitment to moving Nigeria forward whatever it takes. However, this position does not excuse any of his mistakes or blunders while in power. |
MrPrsdent:Can you spell out the sanctions Cuba are facing and those that Zimbabwe are facing so we can compare? Zimbabwe is facing sanctions from more countries than Cuba so stop twisting basic facts. |
pcicero:I rarely respond to posts on NL these days because it seems people would rather make unsubstantiated claims or false allegations and expect others to clear the air. Referencing the first statement in your response, my statement was specific to Mugabe and the problem in Zimbabwe whereas your statement was misleading as it was non specific. I will respond to 2 questions that you raised that have not been dealt with before now. 1. Mugabe waged a war to liberate the present day Zimbabwe from the colonialists. 2. The issue of land reform is not a fallout of any disagreement concerning willingness to cling to power. Use google please if you are not at home with the facts. Discussions don't become intellectually based when someone claims it is, the quality of the argument based on logic, facts and common sense make them. Please, based your comments on facts or I won't even bother to respond to them. |
And the media houses continue to manufacture stories while smiling to the banks as unsuspecting Nigerians continue to patronize and believe their stories, some of which are good enough for Nollywood movies. From inside source to knowledgeable source, very soon they will begin to quote unrecognizable sources. Nonsense. |
MrPrsdent:@US, UK & Australia paid agents, That country A is ok with foreigners who maimed and killed their citizens taking control of their lands doesn't mean country B would be ok with that. I careless about Mugabe but will support his every move to stop Zimbabwe from being another outpost of some greedy Western powers. |
It seems yet again that nothing gives Nigerians living outside Nigeria so much joy as hearing negative news about Nigeria even if such news items are fabricated, rumors or plain lies. I really don't know what the motive or satisfaction from these shameful positions is but this is a sad development. |
pcicero:I respect your right to disagree with me but I expect more insight into the issues and respect for facts. The content in bold (above) has no bearing on this issue because I never made such statement neither did I imply same. I was specific in my post and it would be appreciated if you limited your response to what I stated and not some general and misleading statement. 1. Morgan wouldn't have earned enough votes to warrant a run off if Mugabe was bent on rigging the election especially when the Western media claimed he sent them all away so he could rig the election. 2. Mugabe enjoys the support of at least half of Zimbabweans based on the said elections including the military whose support is crucial in any government in any part of the world. 3. Libya's president has been in power since 1969 so it is not about how long but how well. 4. Mugabe was honored in Britain as a Knight when the going was good. Remember that Zimbabwe at a time had the highest literacy level in Africa and was a beautiful place. 5. Whites maiming and killing blacks while forcefully taking over their lands seem to be ok with you guys but returning such lands back to their original owners seem savage. 6. Who sponsored Morgan's election? Where did he get his funding from? Are Americans, Australians and Britons now Zimbabweans? Open your eyes my friend. 7. What changed? What caused the change? I only hope that we have more African leaders like Mugabe who will be able to stop accepting all forms of instructions and dictations from White House and No 10 Downing Street. Sebi the US has listed us as a terrorist nation. I hope you guys that believes the Western powers are interested in helping us will continue to think that way when Nigeria is reduced to what Iraq has been reduced to today. Funny enough, with all the conspiracy via World bank and IMF the country is still standing whereas the so called developed nations with dubious links to World bank and IMF are facing serious financial problems. So, if countries like the US, Britain etc can face dire financial problems what do you expect from an African country that is being squeezed unjustly? |
The man Mugabe remains a hero that is being dealt with by the Western powers for not carrying out their instructions. What Zimbabweans are going through today could happen to even Nigerians if the same type of conspiracy is carried out by the Western powers. We need to start asking why not just analysing what. |
nuzo:Nothing personal. I wish you the very best but needed to point out something I noticed. Good luck. |
The problem I see with the poster's ambition is that someone like him would not mind using thugs to harass, main or kill those that disagree with him going by his high level of intolerance on this forum especially when his views are challenged. If he can solve this basic problem I believe his views even if not correct all the time will be enough to get people thinking and asking questions about what happen around. |
Redman44:Thanks for the information. My concern is the economics of scale here. The sun does not shine everyday and as such the electricity produced must be stored somewhere, typically a battery. For DC loads you can run the loads off the battery bank but for AC loads you must integrate an inverter DC - AC. Now, for a bore hole this is easy and cheap but for a factory the cost would be rather high considering the fact that solar energy is very expensive. I am not doubting the capability of those behind the project but I am pointing out the issue of cost and the uncertainty of the source of the renewable energy chosen. I have seen a lot of power related projects go bad from street lights to bank ATMs to homes and offices based on misinformation that ends up over promising and under delivering. |
100% solar power. I hope they can implement this as it is usually easier said than done. Solar is an expensive form of electricity generation so I wonder why they are not considering Wind which is cheaper and very reliable technology. Ever wondered why solar powered projects are government related projects with the typical loads being light or basic refrigeration for medical products and not heavy loads that are found in factories or industries. Good initiative but they must be realistic about power need and the cost effectiveness of relying 100% on solar energy. For starters, the sun don't shine every day. |
Dungren:Were they printed for free? Answer that and you will see why your bubble bursting activity does not make sense. Unless the person that distributed them runs a free printing press it is impossible to believe. For emphasis sake, the issue is printing and not distributing of the t- shirts. |
Bear in mind the current rate of ATM fraud and I understand some banks are disabling online payments via ATM cards so you need to seriously consider the pros and cons with the attendant cost benefit analysis for you to decide on this one. However, regardless of any advice you may get just remember that only you will bear the full consequences of your actions. Unfortunately, I am not a "website must be beautiful" person, rather I focus on functionality because that is what will determine whether your site will be successful or not especially for business websites. Please, address me as Afam, lose the sir. Good luck. |
blacksta:This comment is unwarranted because whether you like it or not someone made a lot of money printing and probably selling those t-shirts. And this is a fact - there is nothing wrong in making money in the process of solving a problem or helping the poor in any way unless you are looking for charity organisations and you don't have any charity organisation big enough to do just that. |
damola1:Ok. In my opinion the site is misleading and I don't believe any serious buyer will consider buying anything if the price cannot even be stated correctly. The usefulness of a website is not about looks but about tasks visitors are expected to complete on the website. Again, unless the site is not serious about selling anything the idea of dismissing pricing issues may be counter productive as a prospective buyer may be interested in buying products from the website. |
You must be law abiding for you to demand anything especially in a foreign land. Take a good look at the relevant laws and try to respect them. If you think the laws are unfair then leave the place rather than disobeying the laws. As the other poster noted a student visa is meant for schooling and not work. We must learn to respect the law. |
How can I order for the last 4 items on the home page considering the prices? |
