If IBB stuck to one wife all his life then I believe that is a departure from what we used to see especially with rich men that are muslims where the religion allows them to marry up to 4 wives. This is really interesting.

dont get me wrong oh, i'm not judging nigerian developers. all i'm saying is that i haven't met any nigerian developer with enough knowledge on SEO. try and visit www.webceo.com and learn a little about SEO or do some personal SEO research in your spare time, maybe that would enlighten you about what SEO is altogether.
Seems you missed the point in my last email. I know a lot about SEO its just that I am not buying what it is selling based on what I know so asking me to learn a little about it just because you got into it now doesn't make sense to me.

The same way I rejected every single suggestion to buy stocks in Nigeria while a lot of people swore and claimed it was the best thing in the world is the same way I am telling you that I know more than enough in that area not to buy into what it is selling.

About your post that was flagged, I guess the filter thought it was spam due to the length, it has happened to me before. Trying breaking the post into smaller chunks.
WebmastersRe: How To Get A List Of Top Keywords For A Website by Afam(m): 10:14pm On Jan 08, 2010
@kheme,

Your last post was probably flagged off as spam but from what you wrote it seems you have used your own newly acquired knowledge to judge Nigerian developers which is unfortunate in my opinion.

As far back as 2004/2005 I knew more than enough of SEO to the extent that I don't even bother with it and many developers that have asked me about it have met the same response - it is not necessary because I am not in the business of modelling websites to satisfy google or yahoo but to satisfy the clients or intended users of the websites.

This might appear strange to you but when you learn more about it you may come to the same conclusion. All you need to do is learn how web crawlers work and how content is picked up and used by them.

Someone might know how to swallow pounded yam and still decide not to do so, it doesn't mean he doesn't know how to swallow it. Chew on this.

@Afam- what else can u but to give them money?
You don't have to. Of course, they will threaten to delay you or even take you to police station but remember that in reality motorists are usually the ones to offer the bribes in order to avoid delays especially when there is incomplete documentation.

It is rare to see a police man stop a car and tell the driver to give him a particular amount of money. The only set of people they expect to collect money from are the transporters and that is because they have formed the habit of doing so and because of this whenever one of them refuses it becomes a problem as they wrongly see it as a right.

Do not move or drive alone in the dead of the night if you can and do not insult any armed policeman in the course of explaining yourself as bad ones amongst them will easily turn the issue into "you are insulting a policeman".

Ok. 8 Yrs of OBJ plus alomost 3Yrs of Yar'adua makes 11 Yrs. Perhaps we shall see the "fruit" of this on going project by the 3010. No wahala, only that nobody living in Nigeria now will be alive then to see it.

OBJ himself claimed that despite the huge money they pumped into power project, that there was nothing to show for it. He concluded by blaming it on sabotage and that he was going to investigate.
And in your own wonderful sense of reasoning so the same OBJ you accused of stealing $16 billion claimed that the money pumped into the project did not reflect the state of power supply due to sabotage?

Did you really write the above or do you really understand what you put down?

noblezone:
Well, I reproduced the mail of one year ago to show you how consitent I had been that my problem was not that |Ribadu could not catch all the corrupt Nigerians as at then, but the fact that the fight was based on the Corrupt Personality of the then maximum ruler.

You have never changed from your approach to issues, you always dodge the issues at stake and resort to battering. And I have told you several times, its not my style.

The questions begging for answers are:
Did OBJ loot or not?
Why is Ribadu on the run? or Rather, why is the great Nigerian Government after him?
Wither the corruption fight?
Why are the Iboris' in charge?
Where is Yar'adua?
Why cant he hand over to Jonathan?

These and many more are our concerns.

Thanks for the MSc material. I am through with the degree.
No sir, you reproduced the email where you made false statements to mislead the reading public. I asked you to reproduce my response to this same email and the subsequent reply by you. That will expose your lies and inconsistency.

As to the questions raised I will not even bother answering them because in your bid to make lies become facts every single answered question will be debated even when factual and other irrelevant questions will come up as a form of diversion.

So, over the years I have learnt how to handle such questions that are usually endless and diversionary.

I have zero tolerance for people without integrity so you just have to live with it. Without integrity trust me you are nothing.

A webpage with a list of keywords all pointing to the same website.

Why would a client want that? What is the essence of the feature if it is implemented on the same website SEO is supposed to help in finding or locating?

I know these questions don't answer your questions but I needed to ask them as I cannot understand the WHY.

I dont have to reinvent the wheel. Please what are the facts? For some of us, the facts are that
1. Money (plenty of it) was released for that purpose
2. We dont have anything to show for it
3. Nobody has been help responsible either for looting or mismanagement of the funds
4. OBJ was in charge and he should be held responsible. First rule about leadership: Every bulk stops at your table.
5. In absence of any other person, OBJ is responsible.
The points raised for a project that was initiated and was on going even after OBJ left power actually show that you are either being dishonest or you are simply ignorant of the facts. Sometimes, it pays to re-invent the wheel if you need to understand the wheel and how to better it. Do not swallow any sweet sounding phrase for the sake of it.

noblezone:
I told you that the corrupt system he fed fat when he was the EFCC chairman was turning against him and that it was the point some of us were making as at then: that the corruption fight was a fraud. I also adviced that if he wanted to live, he should get out of the country fast because the mafia machine running the fraudelent Nigeria will stop at nothing in order to have "bleed to death"

When my "list of the things that never make sense" end up in realities like:

1. OBJ's third term bid
2. The monumental failure of the corruption fight
3. Ribadu's flight, to mention just a few, I think you should be humble enough to admit that our analysis of the events and circumstances thereof are not completely silly.

I did not say that, and it is quite unfortunate if that was what you understood. IWhat I said was that the corruption fight as then was based on the Corrupt Personality of one man in the person of OBJ, and that the fight was a fruad. So as much as I had no sympathy for those that were dealt with, I made it clear that I was not going to clap for either OBJ or Ribadu.
It was immoral to demote one thief (becuase you disagree with him) and replace him with another big thief that is loyal to you. That is not corruption fight, it was rather a corruption boost.
I am ever so consistent and will remind you that the major phrase in those years we disagreed was "selective fight against corruption" which I maintained was 100% better than no fight at all because if for nothing it proved to us that indeed corruption can be tackled as many powerful people were investigated, arrested or jailed.

Your 100% fight or arrest of every single corrupt Nigerian was only good on paper just as any discerning observer would agree so I need not elaborate on that.

Unlike you, I write articles that criticize government institutions with facts and not rumor or false allegations. Even while Ribadu was still the chairman of EFCC I wrote one that prompted the EFCC to invite me to their office and I defended every single criticism with facts that were easy to establish and confirm. I left same day (less than 2 hours) and they agreed and respected those criticisms because facts remain facts any day.

That is what I represent, that is who I am. You informed me of writing a stinker which you sent to one newspaper house and the media house refused to publish and when I saw what you wrote I told you that no serious person will bother publishing your article because it was based on false and unsubstantiated information that you cannot defend.

I remember asking you to setup a newspaper house and let us see if you will publish articles submitted by people based on lies and misinformation. It is easy to see Nigerians use someone else's platform to make all sorts of accusations and rain insults on the government or people while hiding their true identities.

noblezone:
To refresh your memory, this was among the last mail I sent you more than one year ago.
Thanks for reproducing the email. Do me a favor, reproduce in its entirety my response to this email so that everyone will get to understand rather than rely on your usual one way thought process where facts are mixed up and issues compounded without resolving any.

For starters, I chose to discontinue communication with you because I felt you could not be trusted based on your reaction when I asked you to provide your phone number so I could call you and discuss some of these issues as email correspondences are not as immediate as phone and they take time.

Your reason for not providing the phone number was that you thought I was working as a government agent because I never join the band wagon that believes that everything is bad with Nigeria.

My reason to taking the course of action I took was that almost everyone I engage online knows what I do for a living (building software, database driven applications and inverter backup systems) and I have never hidden such.

To make matters worse, you demanded for and I provided for you a material you said you needed for your master's program making me believe that you have no integrity because if you felt I was a government agent why did you seek for something you knew I could provide for you based on my profession? This means that if you have the opportunity to dine with the same corrupt Nigerians you would so same.

To conclude this you may also reproduce in its entirety the email you sent to me when I replied the one you reproduced above where you apologized for the phone thing as you claimed you thought I was a government agent.

I am an open minded Nigerian that is bold enough to air my opinions on any issues concerning Nigeria and Nigerians. I don't do contracts, I always reject offers for kick backs on projects I do and I maintain the highest level of professional integrity you can find in business around here.

Enjoy the weekend ahead and please, stick to facts as facts don't lie.

It might be funny to you but the root cause of the problems we have in our democracy is election rigging and death penalty if implemented will reduce election rigging to the barest minimum.

I am a realist, I don't join bandwagons or bow to peer pressure. I focus on what works and try to explain why it works. China executes corrupt public officials and that has reduced the level of corruption in public officers even when some nations keep kicking against death penalty.

We should support what will work for us not trying to sound or feel like any developed nation by borrowing and implementing everything.

PoliticsRe: Riot In Awka: Mobile Police Killed A Man Over Bribe by Afam(m): 8:09am On Jan 08, 2010
This is sad but I am disturbed about a few things.

The initial post claimed that the deceased instructed the driver to move against the order of the MOPOL. If this is true then this is wrong, you don't challenge such orders especially from an armed policeman. He should have raised an alarm or complained to the most senior police officer there. Usually this resolves problems because while the lower cadre would not mind misbehaving the leader of the team is usually more careful as he has more to lose in case of serious complaints or problems that might result from the issue.

The news report claimed that the deceased initially offered N60.00 and the MOPOL rejected it and demanded for more. Now, why would the decease offer any money to the MOPOL in the first place? Is this not why the MOPOL feels he has a right to ask for more? We refuse to make the right choices, we encourage bribery and then turn around to complain when caught in the web of bribery.

However, the killing of the man is 100% wrong and the MOPOL should be killed but we must learn that we cannot eat our cakes and have them back. We must learn to make the tough choices and while ascertaining our rights we must not insult or disobey an armed policeman or soldier. Disobedience here has nothing to do with bribery just in case there is confusion here.

PoliticsRe: Yar' Adua Has Track Records Of Failure - El-rufai by Afam(m): 10:10am On Jan 07, 2010
Mcfeddy:
The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, has  decried the inability of President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua’s administration to sanitise the power sector which is largely responsible for the growth and development of the country’s economy,  saying the president has a track records of disappointing Nigerians.

In a statement entitled, “Nigeria's Power Failure”,  El-Rufai said; "This piece was not written to bemoan the failure of the current political leadership, nor is it about the pronouncements of dodgy lawyers and desperate politicians. It was intended to address the recent setback that the nation has suffered with regards to the failure of the present adminstration to tackle the problems bedeviling the power  sector.

According to him, "The  present administration had informed Nigerians that they will not be able to meet the 6,000 megawatts of electricity target generation this year.

“It would be recalled that President Yar’Adua had  revised former President  Obasanjo’s plan of  generating 10,000 megawatts of electricity by the end of December 2007, but his adminstration promised to deliver only 6,000 megawatts within 18 months  and an additional 11,000mw by 2011”.

The 6,000mw  if  continuously generated and distributed to about 150 million people will only power a single 60 watts light bulb for about 58 minutes a day without the usage of electronic gadgets, about 23 hours will be spent in darkness.

He also stated that the Federal Government is  known for not living up to its promises, saying, "Given  President Yar'Adua administration's track record of disappointing Nigerians, it only shows that the latter’s promise of increasing eletricity generation  will not be a reality . Few days after the vice-president promised that no Nigerian will use power generators in 2010, the presidency itself proposed spending N542.4 million in the 2010 budget to purchase and fuel its power generating plants.”

The fomer FCT minister disclosed that the Yar’Adua adminstration has done nothing to aggravate the hardship  confronting Nigerians, pointing out that the expected gains of democracy which made  progress in many areas under the previous administration have been completely stalled.

He said all we have now   are empty promises, lofty slogans and continuous threat to citizens who dare to demand for changes.

According to him, "Without adequate power supply Nigeria cannot achieve its potentials,” the statement concluded.
I think it will pay El-Rufai to stick with what he knows and at least show a certain level of consistency.

He worked tirelessly to bring Yar'adua to power not so?

It seems it is now becoming fashionable for Nigerians to insult and make all sorts of ridiculous comments about Nigeria once they are outside Nigeria.

How did he arrive at the 58 minutes on 60W bulb for Nigerians if steady 6000W is made available? What yardstick was used here?

However, one point that can be made especially in the area of energy efficiency that our government is neglecting is that the time will increase by 12 if the 60W bulbs are replaced with 5W energy saving bulbs and that would be like 12 hours a day assuming we believe his calculation that I know is flawed to begin with.

They was OPC that was being modeled after the ANC with Fasheun heading the political wing and Gani Adams heading the Military wing. They were many smaller organization trying to subvert the Nigerian govt necessitating the formation of the strike force by Abacha. They were so many "Gorilla"  media outfits like Radio Kudirat. If the Military had not handed over to a Yoruba man, they country was heading for civil unrest or war within a couple of years.

And as soon as Power was handed over to a Yoruba man chosen by the North, all agitations died down and the organizations died a natural death.
