TravelRe: Many Nigerians Living In Nigeria Hate Nigerians In Diaspora, Jealous Much? by Afam4eva(m): 12:32pm On Aug 29, 2013
coogar: nigeria is really a hopeless country - the deluded posters here can say what they want to paper the cracks but i am not fooled. they must be e-agents of goodluck jonathan paid to chat nonsense on a public forum.

can you believe nigeria is the only country left in africa where children still cop polio? all other african countries as impoverished they might look have managed to stop polio occurrence - not nigeria!!!

when christians say sinners would go to hell, i laugh. there's hell on earth already and that place is nigeria. nothing seems to work. if you are not amongst the elite, forget it & the citizens don't seem to care as long as they can afford DSTV to watch super sports & E! channel...
If you hate Nigeria so much then what are you doing on Nairaland. Don't you Britons have discussion forums?

alexchiny: What are you high on? Have you seen the revolution going on at the bridge head entrance? Massive inner road construction in Onitsha too, attracting foreign investment thereby also creating jobs for the youths, handing over schools to Missionaries hereby bringing out quality management and discipline, brought sanity to Anambra polity as a whole, Anambra has the best rural road network in the whole of Nigeria. And who are saying that thrash? You need to see a psychiatric doctor!
Pls help us with pictures. Thanks.
PoliticsRe: Let's Appriase The Performance Of Rochas Okorocha by Afam4eva(op): 10:50am On Aug 29, 2013
chukwudi44: I would appraise him on morals. He has failed to keep his oath of office to safeguard the lives of every imo citizen by enacting la law that would make it legal to kill unborn babies of imo state.By so doing he betrayed the catholic church and the entire imo cityizenry who brought him to power.
Has the law been passed and if it was passed, was it not the state house of assembly that agrred to pass the law and Rochas accented. It invariably means that the Imo people agreed to this law cos their representatives agreed to it. I think the House of Assembly members should also be blamed.

FreeGlobe: can you mention 3 remarkable things Peter Obi has done in 8 years? Meanwhile Rochas has barely gone halfway into his 1st tenure with far more achieved than .Peter Obi. Btw, there is only one performing governor in the SE. chime
I also agree that Peter Obi has not done anything remarkable. I placed him second because most of the SE governors are clueless. I did not include Rochas because he has only been there for 3 years. Theodore Orji and Elechi can't be better than Peter Obi no matter how bad Obi may be and i don't think Anambra is worse off than Obi met it.
PoliticsRe: Zamfara Has 1 Million Out-of-School Children by Afam4eva(m): 10:15am On Aug 29, 2013
If one million children are out of school then is seems no one is going to school cos the population is just over 3 million and the population includes youths and adults.

PoliticsLet's Appriase The Performance Of Rochas Okorocha by Afam4eva(op): 9:59am On Aug 29, 2013
I was one of those that supported Rochas when he was about to mount the saddle and rescue Imo state from the doldrums and this was informed by what he was able to achieve outside government through the Rochas foundation. I was mostly impressed by the fact that he built free schools in all the geo-political zones of these country for the poor. So, it was easy for me to go with him when it was time to change the government in Owerri.

This is a little over 3 years of his assumption of office, i want us to appraise his performance in this 3 years. Pls if you're in any part of Imo state, tell us what Rochas has done in your area. You can also support it with pictures. As for my opinion, it's either hasn't done much or he's not just blowing his own trumpet or there's a dearth of information pertaining to what he's doing. The truth is that, i've been only able to see the world-class secondary school that he constructed in Owerri and some work going on in Orlu and Okigwe and i don't want to believe this is only what he has been able to do. I urge those in Imo state to educate us of the noble governance that Rochas has brought to Imo state.

asha 80: shocked 65bn debt?i guess that is why he is fighting tooth and nail to occupy awka house.
GBAM!!! If that guy enters government house in Awka, even Okija will not see where to ply his thread cos his shrine will be sold to the highest bidder grin
PoliticsRe: Who Is The Best South-east Governor in terms of Delivery? by Afam4eva(m): 9:46am On Aug 29, 2013
The title goes to no other than Sullivan Chime of Enugu state. Peter Obi may be second. I can't rate Rochas just yet as i've not seen enough evidence of his works to rate him. The others especially Theoodore Orji is not worth even being ceded. His government is an embarrassment.
Nairaland GeneralRe: High Death Rate On The Lekki Expressway by Afam4eva(m): 7:56am On Aug 29, 2013
I also think Nigerian drivers are the most heartless in the world. People in this country drive impatiently. Even if they see an aged person crossing the road, their daft mindset will not let them slow down at least. Instead, they'll perform the latest car stunt from a James Bond movie. We have to change our mindset.
Nairaland GeneralRe: High Death Rate On The Lekki Expressway by Afam4eva(m): 7:46am On Aug 29, 2013
cynthrob: Then thirdly, I also want to blame the pedestrians, how can you be strolling, making shakara esp guys when crossing such an expressway?
Sometimes just a second separates the guy crossing from the moving car. What if you stumble a bit or miss your step somehow, then you get knocked down.

Most of the accident victims are guys, they are never patient to wait for the road to be clear before jumping in it. A lady can spend up to 10min making sure its safe.
I pity people that bounce like big boys when crossing the road. I used to be like that too but since a certain spirit of fear enetered me, boy, na running things. I can beat Usain Bolt's record when crossing a road. Even before crossing, i wait to make sure i can't sight any car coming. I can even wait up to 30 minutes. Life no get part 2 so man has to be careful.

king94: I have watched d present Angolan team play and I feel dat dey are just dere.I don't think dey would get 2 d final so I have no fear of dem playin Nigeria.
They're just there when compared to the US team but in Africa, they're the king and it's evident in the way they molested Morocco.
Science/TechnologyRe: Daughter's iPad Charger Explodes As Father Tries To Unplug It by Afam4eva(m): 2:50pm On Aug 28, 2013
Tayeni: d earlier they "cramp" their minds with technology d better. That's how prodigies r made. You want her to start attending evening computer classes after her first degree like we do here? This is 2013! Wake up!....I understand ur fears though. The parent can make d content of the device age appropriate sha. And also limit d amount of time she spends on it.
Her obesity might b genetic.....its not healthy to make kids dt age too self conscious about weight joo....let's give her a break.
It depends on what they're using these gadgets for. You and i know that most of these kids want an Ipad cos they want to use Facebook, Twitter, Youtube etc on it and not necessarily to be IT saavy. Parents should introduce these kids to gadgets with caution. Though i get your point. I wish i was introduced to computer programming when i was 12 grin

adaobi123: It doesn't matter.

The girl is overweight sef lipsrsealed
It will be very difficult nowadays to convince children to ignore these attractive gadgets and instead, go outside and play. Though i agree that children should remain children and do things that children have always been doing instead of cramping their minds with technologies.

dominique: Senegal is another force to reckon with in African basketball, they're next after Angola. If my memory serves me well, they knocked our team out of last season's championship.

Wishing them all the best in their match tonight (hope I'm awake to watch it embarassed). I know say one day one day we go defeat that Angolan team. Go tigers go !!!cool
Senegal may be a force to be reckoned with but they're not next after Angola. That title belongs to Nigeria. Angola has always been our waterloo.
