adaobi123: Why ? Because you said so ?Left for me, i'll allow any airline to land in Enugu. I hope they get a spot sha but they have to be humble about it ![]() |
adaobi123: When the likes of British airways or virgin start flying to enugu, notify meI don't think BA will be allowed to land in Enugu though. When KLM or Lufthansa starts flying from London straight to Enugu, i'll let you know. |
@Onila I hope you're aware that Beverly Ada Osu is not a virgin. Should we still vote for her? |
O boy, see drama. Nice one. |
speedyboi: And that's the reason why I think she shouldn't have appeared in this movie at all! Where actors not up to her status (even O.C. Ukeje - he is one of the hot cakes in Nollywood cinema scene, so don't get me wrong) played a much better role. Her not acting in HOAYS doesn't change anything about her, but what will affect her 'status' is continuous playing of this kinda role. Its not as if its a cameo or anything. You're right. It's demeaning. |
speedyboi: Mercy Johnson is ebira. And ebira part of Kogi state is yoruba. Her other name is Shola infact.Just to correct an impression, ythere's nothing like Yoruba part of Ebira(whatever that means). Ebira is not Yoruba. Mercy's other name is Ozioma not Shola. Anyways, This is not the point of the thread...enough digression. Lol ![]() |
speedyboi: Just for the record, Ramsey nouah is yoruba in the first place. His middle name is Tokunbo. And that's the same reason I didn't mention him, Desmond or mercy Johnson. It's Ramsey's mother that's Yoruba cfrom Ondo state. Desmond is half Yoruba/Igbo while Mercy Johnson is not Yoruba at all. She's from Egbira or Igala from Kogi with an Igbo mother. |
I stopped in Ogori in one of my trips from Abuja and i found the people very warm. Pls what language is spoken by the Ogori people? |
O.M.E:Ramsey Noah is half Yoruba, half Israel, so it's understandable that he would understand Yoruba fairly. |
0monnak0da: In life you have to earn things and for now Osogbo festival is still in its early days but we have a plan which we are working on.These things are not luck or chance occurences. Millions will come to visit Osun just like Mecca and Jerusalem. So we will get there. The only problem I have with you is I know you just said that to appear good.Deep down you resent the Yoruba so be true t yourselfhate Yoruba? Why now? My best friends are Yorubas. The truth is that i don't even have Igbo friends. It just happens that i'm Igbocentric but that does not mean i hate other tribes. I love all Nigerians irrespective of their tribe. |
0monnak0da: why? I honestly don't get it what is so news worthy about this? Besides I don't think you believe that really. Keep it real dude!If the Rio carnival and that London carnival can get audience then why not the Osun-Osogbo festival. |
speedyboi: I don't get the big deal about Genny appearing in Half of a yellow sun. If she's not there, there are other Nollywood cinema faces, such as Wale Ojo (Phone swap), Zack Orji, Tina Mba, Onyeka Onwenu etc.....So what's the fuss about?Lol You know she's the biggest name in Nollywood. |
speedyboi: So you are just knowing yoruba films feature non yoruba actors?I'm not sure of the bolded. I doubt they can speak Yoruba to feature in a Yoruba movie. |
I wonder why CNN does not cover this event. It's an event worth broadcasting the world over. |
While i think Malawi are grasping at straws, i also think Keshi's comment was racist. |
agbameta: The man said rig, not win. Btw, he's right..So, how will he know that the election was rigged. Is it when his party or whichever political division that he's supporting loses? |
I'm miffed at the thinking maturity of the average Nigerian especially on this forum. You won't catch me making statements like "Lagos is a no man's land" as i have no interest in the city in any way. I only live here as a Nigeria who has been mandated by the constitution to do so. I also believe that people who use that phrase are not referring to the cultural but the social and legal idiosyncrasies of Lagos. Even a blind man knows that Yorubas are indigenous to Lagos and not Igbos or Hausas. |
I guess what he means to say is "There will be mayhem if Jonathan wins the 2015 election". How is he and his party going to know that Jonathan rigged the election. Is Jonathan going to come out openly and say that he rigged. For these opposition parties, if they lose, the election was rigged but if they win, it's the will of the people. |
Why's she fat? |
AjanleKoko: We're not interested in his opinion. His opinion did not stop him from earning the dosh for 3 years, so why should we care? You don't away the baby with the bath water. Is what he has said true or false? leave his person out of it. If we continue to exhibit this egoistical disposition towards national issues then the problem will not even be half solved. It's until we accept the reality irrespective of whose mouth it's coming that the country can be redeemed. |
A-town:It's funny how you guyz always tend to shift the goal post thereby derailing the message. The guy obviously remained in Nigeria because of his work and what he was getting from it but that's not his focus on this article. His focus is on the corruption that has raped the Nigerian establishment. It's either you agree with him or you don't. |
CFCfan: These foreign embassies know that Nigerians are amongst their biggest source of cash, yet they still limit themselves to just 3 cities, which is somewhat unfair. Having a presence in the old Eastern region won't be a bad idea, as no one can convince me that Kano is safer then anywhere in the SS/SE.The US embassy being in Kano is purely politics. All that will change very soon. |
chidindufrank: Good for them before it gets to acid pouring level. GEJ 2015Rich people don't use acid. They use gun. |
Rossikk: A lot of what the guy says is wrong, such as that peoples' lives have not improved since the military, and that democracy has delivered no dividends etc etc. Typical shallow analysis by a person who's never lived in Nigeria, but is just a visitor who now thinks he knows everything. Why don't you tell us how the lives of Nigerians have increased and how it's different from the widespread fleecing that the writer alluded to. I agree with the author 99%. |
Nice One. Me likey. |
Gbawe: Thank you. Note he played victim when I took him on but I stated, because I know his treachery and mission, that he would display the same antic "today or tomorrow". See for yourself:Dude, i was referring to the procurement of taxis which imo is not a sign of the prowess of a government. It's good for the residents of Ogun state but what we should be concerned about is the life span of the project. I even cited Fashola handing the taxis over to private companies as something that other governor should consider. |
seanet02: You have not stated your true position ![]() |
Sincere 9gerian: Some people have no shame. Imagine the celebration of the launch of 150 taxi cabs. Incredible. Even the most clueless governors and those that are/were tagged "non-performers" also launched even bigger taxi cab schemes. Yet these are the same clowns that talks of mediocrity when it comes to certain achievements of GEJ. What could be more mediocre than celebrating taxi cab schemes? Shameless hypocritesI guess achievement means different thing to different people. I personally will not rate procuring taxis as a sign of performance because even the most clueless governors have launched taxi schemes at one point or the other. The only way we can rate these governors will depend greatly on how they manage these taxis. LIke someone pointed out, i think Fashola has done well in that regard. |
