A BIG Congratulations to those who aced & passed their IELTS!!!

It's been a while I came on the thread, been overwhelmed with work, so I'm online this midnight ooh when I saw people talking about their IELTS results. Then I remembered I also did IELTS ooh on the 18th December (First Attempt). So I rushed to check, and then I saw my result, it's very painful I had 6.5 in writing, though, I didn't prepare well, my first letter & essay were the ones I wrote in the actual test but I still expected to have scored at least 7.

Please, what would you advice me, regarding this result..?

Who is this one? Please don’t listen to this person. Turkey resident permit does not give you free access or entry into any shengen or any European countries without proper traveling documents. You don’t even know what you are saying and misleading people with your false stories

Nigerians hate being realistic... They want you to tell them the truth if it's sweet but to hell with the truth if it's bitter.

Those that said the first set of draws are going to be above 480 are just being realistic, it doesn't mean they don't want good for you. But y'all always defensive + offensive as usual, seeing everyone that analyze things differently as your village people.

Approaching the pool stats in a mathematical POV shows that the CRS of the first set of draws would be high before it then drops back to the norm, the only reason why it won't happen that way is if IRCC decides to kuku pack all of us at once, doing a MEGA draw. It's even possible that the CRS cut off will later drop to as low as 400, as long as the draws happen consecutively for a long period of time.

So let's be optimistic as we've always been but it's important to be realistic too. Even me wey dey separate fight never enter pool, we go dey alright Las Las

The price is not too special though, the new one sells for 180k and just like you said, this model is quite old compared to the more recent models. Also, when Nigerians tell you few months used, you know it's atleast used for a year. I negotiated from 140k to 100k, so my 100k offer isn't bad sir. I hope I have been able to convince you that I'm a reasonable and sensible negotiator & buyer

You have not applied for immigration before in Canada since you haven't gotten an ITA or submit an application before... So feel free to create another profile with your new IELTS.

Since you're a web designer, search no more, just enroll for the next BCS Certificate in IT... You'll be writing exams on courses you're familiar with, Software Development, Information Systems and Computer Network Technology. This Certificate with your BSc will be evaluated as 2 or more Certificates which will significantly boost your points.

Lol that’s just proof that not everybody is relocating for financial reasons. Some people are doing fantastic in Nigeria. It’s just the madness/lawlessness of the country that’s making them move. While some just even want a second passport for themselves and their kids.

Exactly! I've always been like 'Nigeria will be better' and I'm doing fine myself but I received sense and changed my mindset just few months ago. Nigeria can never get better, now I've started my journey to PR. The earlier the better!!! Later in the future, some people will regret not taking their chances to leave this country or at least, have a second home, just in case.

For anyone who took the exams, how did you find it? Information Systems and Software Development were pretty decent, but Computer and Network Technology proved to be trickier than I planned for.

I've been self-studying since I have several years of experience in the field, and I plan to complete the Diploma and the Professional Graduate Diploma within the next year.

I have a Bsc already but evaluating a diploma with my Bsc, will fetch me more points under the "2 or more cert..." Now, before going to the Uni, I got a Diploma in C.E at an institution approved and accredited to University of Ibadan (Distance Learning). [I attached the picture of the certificate below, please check]. I also have my transcript.

From the details provided or from experience, please do you know if WES will evaluate the diploma attached below and my Bsc as 2 or more certificate..?

Nope, it doesn't work that way. You have to contact your school to send the official transcript (which will have the school seal) to WES (or any of the evaluation agency directly). Even if you have to evaluate more than once, you still have to go through this process.
