4evergod3: i understand your argument but i did not fix the price, the owners did plus i think they fixed the price based on how lovely it is and proximity to the express which is barely 3 mins walk. But believe me when i say it is absolutely breath taking.

U dont need to fix the price but based on my experience with agents, they believe in the higher the price, the better for them as that will result in an equivalent increase in agency and commission fee, u can tell the landlord that the price is too high compared to what others are taking, or based on the response you got from your clients. I noticed the 3 bedroom flat av been on since May, and as lovely as it looks, it is still available, ask urself why, cos it is damn expensive, agents should know when to say No to landlord when prices are too high,

obitobe: i am sorry to say but this house agents are all bloody thievies, tout and liars both male and female that does this job. I have dealt with 5 of them after paying each of them a range of 1k-2k to help me with the search and after telling them what i need, they just come back showing things below standard and asking if i could extend my budget and then they wil get me extactly what i am asking for. when i do extend my budget it is still the same sub-standard structures they end up showing me.And the part of them flashing you after you have given them money for recharge card is very annoying.in fact at times when you see them they just look rough and hungry looking, i am just tired of them all.

U dont need to say u are sorry cos uve said the right thing, akwarandu advertised a 2 edroom flat at kilo for 350K, i called him and he told me it is a decent flat, we should come check it, first, he felt reluctant to greet when he got into the car, and even he lacked customer service, we got to the said apartment and we were greeted by rats gutter and dirt, immediately we got to the front of the flat, I told him I cant go in, my husband was mute throughout cos he was already angry, he had to leave what he was doing in d office to come check the place. And guess what the agent said when we got outside, ow much can I afford for a 2 bedroom flat? I was so mad

@betty,, A̶̲̥̅̊ budget of 300k to 400k for A̶̲̥̅̊ 2/3 bedroom flat within those locations, I must tell Ʊ is really enough for any non-greedy agents, like my hubby usually say, most of  so called agents live in dia family house or A̶̲̥̅̊ face-me-face-you apartment, so dia understanding of decent flat is very low

@truluvguy, I must confess, only a few, less than 2 agents on nairaland dont ask for consultation fee, they tell u if u dont pay the fee, they wont take you to the house, anyway, have always told them, with me, no fee to be paidm until I see what I wish to take
