Not this shit again! Mode9 is overrated, Geez |
Aren't you people bored of this already? Do 100 greedy and dishonest politician speak for all of us? I will vote for any credible leader, I don't care where he comes from. Igbo president or not, they are all the same. |
LOl @ 'big shishi' you aint all that, for real. |
I would like to see a 2nd round, with less forced punchlines and more attention to the verse. Let the battle commence! |
me winning dblock is like killing an ant with a sledgehammer/ I'll vote for gbade x as soon as he explains how the above line makes sense! |
@ Alisigwe, I can tell you spend time practising but to be honest, you oughta maybe accept that rapping is just not your thing, That's just some advice. |
Thanks @ osasp @ Alisigwe, the hole you dug earlier is getting wider This is an MC who poked a finger at peril who's done the two step with the devil scare me with death talk? boy i dare you! I'm a civilian, I don't rap but I'm sorry the boy's porcelain and he'll go crack When we show him where his skills lack when we tread perilous paths and warn him to go back Cos we we know the boy's got no bite Just a loud bark and we we serious folks, no time to skylark But he's an slowpoke, don't heed warnings don't know when to stop because it's good for 'im Okay, I am officially done now, Lol. |
I am not quite sure it is worth my time to respond to this dude. Your so called 'rap' seems like you stole a line each from your favourite rappers. Your dumb ass can't even make the lines rhyme! |
I am gonna write a lil something, just not tonight |
@ Kaydee, I can put words together but it's not my hobby, that is why i do not call myself a rapper. I liked rugged cos i think he reps naija in a naija style, Nuff said on that. @ Gbade, you are right. |
No dude, it's not the same, I don't rap. I don't sit down to compose raps, that's not my thing. I am not a rapper but I can rap if I have to. Why is that hard to understand? Is it really that hard to rap though? I understand English and I try to make sense. That for me is not that hard, at the risk of sounding like I am bragging. |
Lol I told you, I don't rap. I write poetry, so you can see how I'd be able to string some lines together. I don't think Kaydee can 'pull my skirt up' as you say but he sure can get at me if he wants to. I did not pretend that I could not rap, I think I said I am not a rapper, the two things are not the same, dig? |
@ kaydee, I do not understand what you're tryna say. ![]() |
@ Alisgwe, is that really a rap? are you being for real dude? Your rap is so wack I find it hard to be motivated to respond. You really oughta appreciate me tryna school you instead you idolise MCs that wanna fool you Well put together boy, now his screw's loose believing hypemen, he shies from the truth The proof is in the tasting, so here's a spoonful No flaws in my rhymes, this is foolproof I could stoop to your level and abuse you but instead I'll tickle your ribs and amuse you Just a lil something for ya. |
US Hospital Accuses Orji Kalu Of Forgery Former Abia State Governor, Mr. Orji Uzor kalu currently facing charges of laundering N3.1 Billion state funds may be charged for forgery in the United States. The ex-Governor is accused of forging a letter from Brigham Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts, U.S requesting his presence for his wife’s surgery. Kalu in a letter to the Federal High Court Abuja had sought for permission to travel to the United States on the ground that “I have just received information through Victor Onochie (by fax) to the effect that my wife is due for a major surgery on 8th August in Brigham and Women‘s Hospital in Massachusetts, USA. But the Brigham and Women Hospital, MA, through Dr. Kwan and Heather Galvin, both assistants to Dr. Peter Black, the alleged signatory to the Kalu’s letter denied knowledge of such letter. When Pointblanknews.com confronted the Hospital with the letter, Dr. Kwan said “that is not Dr. Peter Black’s signature. It is obviously forged. This hospital does not issues such letters.” According to Dr. Kwan, “this is strange and we are not taking it lightly. We are looking into it and we might require the police to come in.” He disclosed that Orji Kalu’s wife, Ifeoma Ada Kalu was last seen on appointment for MRN in 1999 insisting that “there is no appointment scheduled for her. Below is the letter purportedly written by Dr. Black to Orji Kalu ”Patient: Ifeoma Ada Kalu MRN:14975320(BWH) 02/19/62 Dear Kalu, “The Brain Tumour Programme at Brigham and Women‘s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute provides a multi-disciplinary brain tumour clinics in radiation therapy, chemotherapy and neurosurgery, a tumour board and radio surgery evaluation and is a closely-coordinated effort between Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women‘s Hospital. “A comprehensive evaluation and long-time management of your spouse‘s present health condition (brain tumour-Oligodendrogliomas), necessitates a repeat of neurosurgery of the nervous system closely similar to the one performed in Germany but with special interest at a different region of the brain. “This decision was reached at our board meeting on Friday, July 27, 2007. “At present, based on our evaluation, Ifeoma‘s basic cognition is inadequate to offer consent for this surgery to proceed. “We, therefore, as required by Massachusetts General Law, request your presence to offer your consent as next-of-kin for this immediate needed care to proceed. “Please be advised that your immediate attention is required as the surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 6.30 a.m. “It is appropriate that a pre-operative visit of the family members to the hospital be arranged in advance a week or two before the surgery.” Orji Kalu ad on the basis of the fake letter from the Massaheausett deposed in an affidavit to the Abuja High Court that: “That I am the accused in these proceedings. “That I was admitted to bail by this honourable court on the 27/7/2007. “That one of the conditions of my bail is to seek and obtain leave of court to travel out of Nigeria. “That I have just received information through Victor Onochie (by fax) to the effect that my wife is due for a major surgery on 8th August in Brigham and Women‘s Hospital in Massachusetts, USA. “That by the law of Massachusetts, my consent is required as her next-of-kin before the surgery can be performed. “That the consent is required to be given in the presence of the lead surgeon. “That the condition of my wife requires emotional support from me and her children who have already moved to Massachusetts ahead of the surgery. “That the surgery is required urgently and cannot be postponed. “That I require my international passport currently in the custody of the EFCC to enable me make the trip. “That I shall return to Nigeria within a reasonable time after my wife‘s condition stabilises.” In the affidavit of urgency, Kalu repeated all the averments contained in the one quoted above. He, however, deposed further thus, “That my wife requires sound emotional support as she is suffering from an ailment that is life- threatening. “That a delay in performing the surgery will result in irreparable damage to the medical condition of my wife. “That it is in the interest of justice that this application be heard and determined expeditiously.” |
Still waiting for the dude to post his verse. He did throw down the gauntlet, so, |
@ alisigwe, you know what they say, talk is cheap, Post your sixteen and I'll do mine. I just wonder how you would pull it off cos it seems to like you have a problem comprehending simple English |
@ Omo Eko, the guy is a cretin, don't worry. @ Alisgwe I never once implied that Naija rap was centered around the aforementioned rappers, if you deduced that from things i have said, then you want your head checked. I have already told you, when it comes to this rap thing, don't test me. What a dumb assumption it is on your part to say that because I am from England I listen to pop, It's folks like you who come on the internet to front with your psuedo American slang and cuss words, do me a favour dude, take some time out to breathe before jumping on your key board next time. What a boring place this would be if we all agreed. Peace. |
No, I not fourteen but you're not far off {!} Yankee accent, English accent, it's interchangeable as far as I am concerned. If according to you dude was 'raised' in England then I can understand why that is. But you can still sub Mode 9 for any of these so called naija rappers. |
@ alisigwe, It's so hard to understand you postings, you don't like punctuations and you type in English only you can understand. I have not changed my opinions from the beginning, it's your problem if what i am saying is beyond your comprehension. Peace |
I am not mad about the 'Ghana' t shirt. I just think that Tuface needs to leave kennis music. I recall seeing a video for one of his songs that was some wack a$$ cartoons. I mean, this guy is pretty big. The video is alright, the colour is a little over the top. Dude also needs a stylist, the tee shirt is too small and there's something going on with his shorts. The song is not the best, 'true love' is much better but all the same I do think that TuFace reps Naija. |
I am not saying that they must do it just pidgin. But you can speak English without putting on that foolish American accent. I like Rugged man, I do. I think he's cool, as a lyricist, he is not the best but I can listen to him without being embarrassed. With that said, he doesn't always rap in pigeon. There is such a thing as a Nigerian or shall I say a Lagosian accent. I cannot listen to Naija rapper, no matter how nice they are if their delivery is fake. I use to feel the same way when British rappers tried to sound like Americans. |
If you guys like some second rate yankee then it's your problem, I don't think that is hard to understand. Lol, have you ever listened to what dude says{?} he knows there is no way he'll make in America making that half ass gibberish he calls rap. he prolly think Naija people aren't going to know the difference and maybe he is right. |
Yea, maybe he will understand when you put it him. |
LOl, This guy, you get worse with every post. So, what we have over here is Hip pop abi? I have never heard of so called 'real' rappers because they told you we do not have t'v or radio or the internet or CD shops? when it comes to rap, please do not try to test me. Seriously dude. You say the most inane things. I am not even sure you know what it is you are talking about now, to be honest. |
@ Kaydee Dude, you really surprise me, You wanna call me? what for? Lol. I live in England been here since I was 11, I am now 24, how do you think I am going to sound? When it comes to Naija rappers, I think their modus operandi should be 'keep it real' . If a rapper is Nigerian American, case in point, Chamillionaire, I am not gonna be mad that he raps like an American. But when someone is Naija born and raised, erm, I find it kinda fake. That's my piece said on this now. I think my position on this is quite simple, if you don't get it, it's your own problem Peace. |
Mr. Raheem, Slick Rick moved to the USA when he was three. Akon was born in St. Louis, so how is he going to sing? Sade is half Nigerian Half white, she is from the UK as in born and raised. Lemar was also born and raised in the UK, so now, what is your point? Tell me, was mode 9 born and raised in the U.S? Was Sauce Kid? and any of these other wack rappers? It's like this dude from P square, the twin that raps. Even though I like the group for the most part, any song that features him rapping, I skip it just cos I do not understand him. If it's not natural to you, don't force it, dig? |
I am happy about the arrests and I am happy that these Governors can experience what some Nigerians go through. I am saddened that some people see this as a tribal thing or as a waste of time. Let's remember the country is only 47 years old. It's going to take time and we need to be more patient. In all honesty, I have hopes for this president. I know that the election process that put him there was flawed but he's there now and I hope he can do what he promised in his seven point plan. As for all these governors, they really believe that they are untouchable. A lot of them will now at try to do right by their states and not swallow money whole while students still do not have teachers and the sick are not being seen to. I am happy with the current state of play, long may the EFCC continue to be bold enough to the right thing by Nigerians. |
Lol @ Kaydee I think all in this forum can now see the crux of your argument. Your main beef if that pidgin is 'barbaric'. As opposed to being cool about real Nigerian youth spitting in a way that they are comfortable with, you'd rather they ape Americans, what a shame. Hmmn, I think this is a case of 'black boy lost' That's why I like rugged, he doesn't just do it in pidgin, he raps in a straight accent, none of this stupid yankee put on. I do not know how you can dig all these rappers, by rapping the way they do, they are tryna say that being you is not good enough, yet you swear they are the nicest MCs, what a joke. |
@ alisigwe, Are you for real dude? you don't know me so you do not know who I hang with, you dig? Are you implying that you gotta be a rapper to like rap? If you feel you do not have anything worthy to say then refrain from making useless comment. @Kaydee, you don't have to school me on anything, we have different opinions on the matter, so don't worry. |
@ skingo Err, ok, cos I don't agree with you? Can't argue with ignorance I guess. Peace |
Thank you, that means a lot. |
