They have attack-minded players, down to their defenders. You have players that are not attack-minded and you feel you don't need a striker. Keep playing.
Hehehe I initially typed a reply to him but then changed my mind.

They have Hakimi, Mendes, Kvara, Doue and we have Dalot, Dorgu, Cunha, Amad.

Then they have 3 technicians in midfield not people whose 1st touch is a bubble and 2nd touch is a tackle.

Unlike a certain Sancho who doesn't want to change.
Hopefully it’s not too late for him. He is 25 now which is around the age that Dembele saw the light.

Funnily enough, Sancho practically replaced Dembele at Dortmund. Dortmund management and coaching staff must have suffered.

, I have given it a thought, too. Dembele was injury-prone at Barca. Is it down to the medic, or was he faking the injuries at Barcelona? I can't tell...
Lifestyle changes and maturity. Dembele was notorious for poor diet, coming late or not showing up for training, staying up late at night playing video games etc.

The injuries have affected him physically in a way as he is not as explosive as he once was but his decision making is so much better now.

.......I know fans and the board might be apprehensive, but personally, I wouldn’t mind playing the kids who are ready.

Defense: Keep De Ligt and promote Kukonki and Fredricson. Plus Heaven and Yoro to the squad, making five center-backs if we sell Licha, Maguire, and Shaw.

Wing-Backs: Promote Kamason to compete with Mazraoui for the right wing-back position. Let Diego Leon, Dorgu and Amass compete for the left wing-back position. Sell Dalot for a solid fee.

Central Midfield: Promote Tyler Fletcher and Kone to the first team. Keep Collyer and Ugarte in the squad. Sell Bruno and Casemiro.

RMF: Buy a solid left-footed player to compete with Amad. Promote Lacey as an additional option.

LMF: Keep Mount, add Mainoo to the position and include Cunha. This should cover us. Sell Zirkzee and Garnacho.

Striker: Buy a solid player like Osimhen. Keep Obi in the squad. Sell Højlund.

Goalkeeper: Replace all the current Goalkeepers.
With that defence and midfield you might just relegate the club.

De Ligt who is injury prone with 4 academy/teenage CBs.
Ugarte whose 2nd touch is a sliding tackle with 3 untested academy/teenage CMs.

Simple, we were not interested else we'd have activated his release clause...
Activating release clause does not mean automatically the player has to come. The player still has final say on whether he will sign for the club that activates the release clause.

Since there were multiple clubs ready to activate the release clause, Delap held off on going into talks with any specific club until he was sure which one could offer him Champions League football.

......we don't need to spend the money this coming season, save it for next season. Stat-wise Bruno is a solid player, but eyes-wise, he is just a lucky average player with good numbers.

He nags too much and can lose ball wrecklessly. He ain't a type that dictate or ochestrate game for the team.

Sell him for €100m without blinking at all.
We need to spend most of it this next season or you want us to relegate ni?

You want to take Bruno from this team and not spend money on players.
Remember that Rashford, Sancho, Antony are also out.

If we sell Bruno and those ones also leave, we will need to replace them now so that the next season you are talking about won’t be in the Championship.

If the club decides to save the money for the future and we start struggling, won’t you come back here and be lamenting that they sold Bruno our best player and didn’t support Amorim enough with adequate replacements?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 3:08pm On May 31, 2025
When we had possibility of Champions League football that 100m seemed more attractive. Now that there is no European football it will be even more difficult to attract good players.

The crucial question should not be whether 100m for Bruno is a good deal, because it is. The crucial question is will the club use the Bruno money wisely, cos if we sell Bruno and buy Mount and VDB type flops we are finished.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 12:59pm On May 31, 2025
Money is good if you know what to do with it.

There is a way we can sell Maguire, Casemiro, Bruno for big money, misspend the money , and be truly staring relegation in the face next season.

You expect him o come out and say he wants Bruno to be sold?

The fact he moved Bruno from playing as one of the AMFs to midfield as part of the midfield two tells you that he thinks they're better options as AMFs and he is not satisfied with his option in that two-man midfield...We are close to signing Cunha for the RAMF position and we all know the LAMF spot belongs to Amad...In the long run, do you see Bruno as a reliable option for the two-man midfield? I don't...
Cunha LAMF and Amad RAMF, not the other way round.

Oh ok. Yeah he now looks a bit serviceable compared to earlier last season and even this season.
However, he still needs to kick on next season and do more. He wears our No 7 shirt and cost 50m.

Is this reason why we should fill the club with mediocre players? We are not Everton or Brighton ffs. We are Manchester United. That should count for something.

Never knew a time will come Man Utd fans will be clamouring for Mbuemo to join an attack that can't score.
I don’t think anyone here is “clamouring” for Mbuemo but I have just been reading people dismissing player after player as if we are spoilt for choice.

Also, Mbuemo is right sided and won’t be replacing Rashford but Antony. Rashford should not come into it. The Rashford and Garnacho discussions concern Cunha not Mbuemo.

Who are the players that you want us to buy?

We are saying the same thing.

Divide the votes again but this time if you want to change the overall outcome you have to riot, since that is the thing you didn’t do the last time.

Abi, how do you want to prevent history from repeating itself and coming here to lament again?

I guess it was arbitrary to show something about compounding

Also the potential setup for a 20yr old athlete who was given his 70yra life earnings in bulk over 4yrs

A savvy wise guy in his 30s might likely take $5m and be better for it vs taking $1k per day. Who knows what $1k per day would be worth in 20yrs time maybe would be worth today's $500, now in 30yrs maybe worth today's $300

So for me, as a 20yr old I will favor $1k a day. I can't imagine handing your 20yr old self $5m without guidance you are just trying to ruin his life

As a man over 35yrs I'll take the $5m
Yeah. I agree with your last 2 statements.

A 20yr old who did not make the 5m through his entrepreneurial ability is more than likely to blow it.

A more mature man is more likely to make good use of the lump sum and is also less likely to be around n 30 years to enjoy the full benefits of the daily pay.

So assuming, we get Delap, Cunha, Mbeumo. Sell Holjund. You think Zirkzee will get an enough playing time? considering, we'll still have Mount,Bruno, Amad who can do a job there (assuming Garnacho is gone).
Amad does not play on the left. He will most likely play RWB if we get Mbeumo. Or compete with him for right 10. Either way he and Mbeumo will be in the right side and won’t impact the team selection on the left side.

Bruno will either be one of the 2 CMs or will be gone for 100m.

Mount is the difficult one. He is the one who might challenge Zirkzee for the substitute role in the left 10 position.

Garnacho is gone. The club are willing to sell him and he himself sounds tired of the on and off love. He is also our 2nd best route to raising funds after the Bruno offer from Saudi.

Star CF, Delap, Amad, Mbeumo, Cunha, Zirkzee, Mount.
7 players for 3 positions is not a bad idea considering the possibility of injuries.

The 4 new players will be replacing Rashford, Sancho, Antony, Garnacho, Hojlund (5 players).

Yeah. Cars, women, fancy gifts and trips seem irresistible at a young age.

A Sports illustrated article stated that about 70% of NFL players and 60% of NBA players face financial difficulty after retirement.

Another research showed that about 15% of NFL players actually file for bankruptcy after retirement.

But then, when Nigerians stay away from Nigerians abroad it doesn't help in the long run. I thank that's why we don't have plant Nigerians making it to the top of the ladder like Indians who always carry their people along through networking and vouching for each other

If Kwankwaso tells his state governor, “I’m in Italy, see me tomorrow,” the governor is booking the next flight, no questions asked.
Obi, on the other hand? Obi calls, Soludo sends it to voicemail.
You’re trying to compare a man who has zero pull in his own state to a political heavyweight whose governor practically kneel at his feet?
Let’s be serious. If Obi can’t even command respect in Anambra, how exactly is he supposed to run Nigeria?
This is ridiculous.

They are not running for president of their states. Based on their national pull and electoral performance an Obi/Kwankwaso ticket should obviously have Obi as the main man.

Honestly, we still need to fire sell, this squad is relegation quality. To deal with that elephant in the room, we need to sell people like Bruno, Garnacho looks on his way out, from thos 2 alone we can generate £100m.
And like I said earlier, if Radcliffe knows he doesn't have money, I think he should just sell his shares.
He won’t sell. The Glazers have not sold for 2 decades.

We need to sell a lot of the players but the incomings have to be on point. The recurring theme for the past several years is that we sell bad players for peanuts only to spend a king’s ransom to buy worse players than we sold.

If that happens one more time, we will be in the Championship.

Yeah, we need a reset, even Bruno, Honestly I will be looking to move him on. We need fire sales. Clear house and start from the scratch. Honestly, if we are to do that type of clearance, Amorim will need to go to.
The elephant in the room is the lack of money. There is a way we will do a fire sale that we will get relegated. It has to be done with intelligence.

The Glazers gave up control of the club to an audio billionaire like them.
