Amad and de Ligt both make the squad for the Bilbao game tomorrow. Mantato, Kone, Kamason, Obi are also in the travelling squad. Unsure why Obi is going when he is not eligible. |

CapitalCee: Thank you very much Doc. You know I mentioned something like this before and you understood it partly. I have carefully studied majority of the clubs that has newly purchased or promoted youngsters who are among the best. They don't usually put all the club's pressure on these youngsters even though they are really good. But United fans will want an 18/19 year old who even though he is good is largely inexperienced and have several aspects of their games to improve on, including psychological strength. When that youngster fail to be 10/10 week in week out consistently, they say he is rubbish and start calling for him to be sold without considering their ages and their stage in development. When I point out that we should give these young players a chance as they are not even supposed to be automatic starters, a lot of our fans will see it as if I am defending the player.
For me, Obi is still completely inexperienced and he needs at least few more years to start starting games at all even few games. He is still 17 for God's sake, same with Amass and several other youngsters. Our fans have suddenly forgot that Kobbie Mainoo is playing in his second full season now, infact last season his season started around November, even Garnacho and they are still 20, but our fans wants them to lead us to UCL trophies. The pressure of playing for Man United is nkt the same with playing for even Chelsea. The scrutiny is mad, so the step up needs to be carefully managed. Even Dorgu, I see people already insulting him and pilling pressure on him, forgetting that he is just 20, coming middle of the season from a bottom team in Italy into a disfunctional team. This is really uncharitable and unfair. There are 2 fantastic players at Chelsea, Tariq George and Acheapong, these are players that even at youth level are significantly better than some of our youngsters these our fans are calling for the manager to start, yet despite the recent performances of these Chelsea youngsters, I dont see majority of Chelsea fans calling for them to be comfirm starters in high profile games. When some of us complain about these things some will see it as though we are overprotective the youngsters or we are stanning them. Yeah, you called it out earlier. The lack of pressure at other clubs is what will make someone think 22yr old McAtee is a teenager. If he was at United our fans would have already hounded him out for not showing superstar qualities already. Kamason, Mantato, Kone all made the 1st team training today. Maybe 1 or 2 of them could make the bench this weekend. I have been reading that Amorim is quite impressed with Mantato but his injury hampered his readiness to try for the 1st team. Mantato has stylistic similarities to Quenda but maybe not as quick. How good he can be in the senior game is to be determined. Kamason has been dominant in his position since January and has made the bench before. Maybe he can get some minutes this weekend. Kone has serious potential but i think he is still a little raw to play in CM for the senior team at this stage, but we will see. |

CapitalCee: I don't see him playing a part this week, he may get few minutes against Brentford and then may be start in the second leg at Old Trafford. Same for Deligt whom I am also very excited he is back, he solves a lot of the defence puzzle we have. Again, I want to be proven wrong, but Dalot's injury is a big blow to us. Yeah i think the first league is not going to be possible. He has been out for a long time. A few minutes in the weekend then i suspect it would be a longer sub appearance in the 2nd league (unless we are in big trouble from the 1st leg). |

odizeey: Amad has always played well with us, though not at this current level. He grew.
Trust was lacking. You send players on loan to grow and get better. Amad’s loan achieved what it was meant to do. He got regular game time in a less intense environment where he could get better and where his mistakes were not as consequential. I am not sure how you want to turn Amad’s loan which was one of our most successful loans in probably a couple of decades into a negative thing. |

odizeey: LMFAO. Naso Ten Hag throw Amad go Sunderland because he was not ready. If you don’t know that Sunderland loan is what aided Amad’s growth. When he was loaned to Scotland I used to tune in to watch Rangers games but he was poor most of the time. When he went to Sunderland I used to watch their games and for the first few months he was just okay but over time he quietly developed into their best player by the 2nd half of the season. If he was at United, fans would have already destroyed him and cussed him out in those first few months. That Sunderland loan was incredibly important and great for Amad. He became visibly stronger and faster during that loan and he made his mistakes away from the spotlight. Where ETH was foolish was when he refused to play Amad when he returned from that loan. But by that time Amad was 21 not a teenager anymore. |

But when the case arises, you make do with what you have, in our own case, Obi is need. Did you see the graph I uploaded? I side with you regarding Obi. What I disagree with is the blanket statement that we don’t give youths a chance or don’t give academy players a chance. This club historically and in recent times has always given its academy and other young players opportunities. Specifically with Amorim he went really far with giving academy players opportunities in Sporting Lisbon so I will give him the benefit of the doubt and give some more time on this issue. If he has not been sacked next season and academy players are still not getting good minutes, then I will blame him. |

Second, don't add Mainoo. Mainoo is not a teenager please. Firstly, Mainoo played 7 months of this season as a teenager or how old was he from August to March? Secondly, how many Carabao Cup games did we play under Amorim? Thirdly, all games count but top level games like Champions League, Premier League, Europa League games count more than Carabao Cup and Conference League qualifiers. |

Even a rat will turn and fight to the death when cornered, not to speak of a freak of nature like that. There's a reason they call the unscratchable unbreakable glass on phones Gorrilla Glass and not 100 men glass I think we both appreciate the inordinate strength of the gorilla. Most people don’t know that a gorilla can break their spine or crush their skulls with one swipe. It can yank off the arm of a man with one pull. Where we defer is the behavior and response. It is often more difficult to fight a cornered animal of inferior strength. That is why the Mongols preferred not to fully encircle an army but leave a small gap for the enemy to flee through. Putting the 100 men in a cage they can’t escape from will make them fight to the end. That gorilla will get tired before it goes through 100 men. |

After the first few limbs and ripped off heads start landing most of the men will take off. In a cage where they can’t run away they will have to keep coming in waves, and keep getting killed until fatigue sets in for the gorilla. P.S We are talking the prime of the human race here. Not desk workers like me or you. Mike Tyson, Larry Allen, Mark Henry types will be the ones to face a silverback. It is the fatigue that will finish the gorilla such a cage fight more than anything else. In the open field the men will make for the hills quick. |

nihilistjnr: My big bro, that's not happening.
The only saving grace that the 10 boys will have is that Gorillas are not thaaat aggressive, and might be happy to retreat into a corner as long as the other guys sit in theirs.
Monkeys and Apes are extremely vicious fighters. Firstly not only they are insanely strong, stronger than humans by several several magnitude, these animals fight extremely dirty. They're deliberately going to target your balls to rip out and chew. They will target your face to bite. An adult Gorilla is about 250kg and 5'11 of dense muscle, can lift about 800kg and has double the bite force of a lion... With actual knives for teeth
The fight would be over extremely quickly, because everybody he touches will be incapacitated immediately with life-threatening if not life ending injuries. Even if he lays hands and teeth on just 2 or 3, witnessing the extent of the injuries is destroying morale of the other guys immediately.
Those 10 guys only have a chance with tool use. Bare hand-to-hand combat? Looooooool Your points are valid. If it was 10 men I would agree but the scenario was taking about 100 men. 100 men with room to escape I would probably still favour the gorilla. 100 men with no room to escape and forced to fight to the death I would favour the 100 men ( at least the ones that will survive the carnage). |

We loaned out players plus hit with injuries. Is Liverpool facing same? Amass has played 3 of our past 4 games. Can you list the clubs that are using more teenagers or giving them more minutes than us? We loaned out great senior players who were not playing great football. It comes down to the same thing. Our useless senior players are placing undue pressure that other youth players are not facing on our own youth players. They will play when they are assessed to be ready to play. I will never forget how when Januzaj made the team senior pros were passing the ball to him every minute of the match like they were not paid to play football as well. |
