nitrogen: Naso now. After buying, they will start saying our scouts and board don’t buy well. We should have gone for a player like Yamal. Do our scouts and board buy well? Let's leave the confusion in your mind when the same board that according to you keeps hiring the wrong coaches is somehow managing to buy the right players. We said no to Toni Kroos when Moyes wanted him and got Fellaini instead. When Gabriel Barbosa and Gabriel Jesus were available, we tried to get Barbosa while Jesus went to City. Barbosa finally came to Europe and failed quickly before heading back to Brazil. When Antony and Raphinha were available we paid 82m for Antony while Raphinha went to Barca for 50m. We bought AWB (a RIGHTBACK o) who was obviously never going to be a top-level footballer for 50m. We bought Maguire a molue-slow CB from a lower level EPL team for 80m. This was YEARS ago, and even now top-level strikers are still going for 60-70m. But we bought 2 mediocre defenders for 130m. If we have been appointing the wrong coaches for years, then we have also been buying the wrong players for years. People here keep talking about how the players can't be bad since they were doing well at their previous clubs before coming here. Well, that excuse can also be made for the managers. They also were doing well in their previous clubs before coming here. My point was that fans should not get too giddy over any new signing based off reputation until they show us their quality in our club, but you and your coven of contrarian spirits must always find something to complain about. |

Some people all they see about Nigeria is negativity, even in America some people who were born in America and lived all their lives in America yet all they see is negativity. For example I see some positives about growing up in Nigeria while acknowledging the negatives
Others if you dare say anything positive about Nigeria they will tear your shirt check on this thread for example And he was able to research into those doctors' lives just by meeting them briefly on his visit and find out that they never said anything good about Nigeria. He is a joker. And if it is actually that he wants them to japada (and you are just turning amala on his behalf) he is a bigger joker. |

I told them that in Nigeria, a person will graduate as a medical doctor and spend N500, 000 throughout to become a doctor and they are working. You will graduate from John Hopkins as a doctor and you spend $2000, are you okay? Do you know how much money you will spend?
That was Pojus tatement regarding the medical education in Nigeria vs the US. What is wrong with that statement
Fact is if we are to go the full way without subsidized education by the Nigerian govt, Many of us wont be able to afford it Full gaslight. He should face his pastoral job and win souls. Any doctor who allows himself to be gaslit not to japa should return his brain to his creator. Everybody who schooled in a public university in Nigeria benefitted from subsidized education. It is not only doctors. Engineers, Lawyers, Accountants, Architects, Computer Scientists too should not japa and they can start the prostration. |

CapitalCee: Are you sure nitrogen agrees, or he is lining up another manager to take over in the summer I was talking about IF Amorim is here next season he won't get all of next season to prove himself. Consider this scenario. What if we don't win Europa League and we keep losing and sliding down the league table this season, with no improvement in either result or quality of play. If we lose league games and win the Europa League, there might be a defense for keeping him on. If we lose Europa but our league form and results improve there is another defense. If neither happens then serious discussions would have to be held at the end of this season. In the words of Kenny Rogers, you have to know when to hold and know when to fold. |

I except significant improvement next season though else he will have to go. Whether mid season or end of season. He has not been average in the league. Unless average has another meaning. He has been below average. Way below average. He has been quite bad so far in the league. His saving grace is that he came during the season and did not have a preseason or a proper transfer window. Also, I won’t worry too much about the position he is playing right now because he has the talent but the focus should be about improving a critical aspect of his game. Yeah, with the league season over I would start in him in most of the remaining league games. |

We can get a 29-32 year old GKs that will be fantastic, Inter sold us the Bum Onana, and got Yan Sommer for like 5m and he was 34 that time, Van der Sar was languishing at Fulham 34 before fergie got him, he won us the UCL. No be everytime spending big solves problem. How old is Mat Sels at Forest. GK is a different of position. I think you intended to quote me here. If Kovar is also error prone then our scouts need to get to work. We can’t afford another keeper who spreads confusion in the back line. |

patrickmuf: You haven't mentioned this one before...Let me go check him out. He was the best rated CB in Mainoo’s set and actually made a Europa League squad for the senior team as far back as 2022, then he got injured the next month and did not come back until last year. I still think it’s not going to happen for him here cos that injury took away his top level speed but it’s still good to see him at least get this chance. He is getting it most likely because he is the most mature and senior team ready CB in the academy, not because he has a longterm future here. |

I just read that Tyler Fredricson will get a start at CB today. An out of left field decision for a player whose United hopes I thought had been permanently dashed due to injuries. It might be Fredricson, Lindelof, Maz at the back. |

CapitalCee: Obi is 17,he is a bright prospect. But he is not better Hojlund at this moment, make we de calm down. I am not sure about that statement. It has more to do with how poor Rasmus than how good Obi is. I personally don’t think Rasmus is better. My main concern is that rushing Obi might interfere with his football development as an individual player.and stop him from maximising his talent. Rasmus is so bad right now that I can’t say for sure that playing him over Obi gives us a better chance at winning. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 3:58am On Apr 20, 2025 |
CapitalCee: For me, Shaw is just coming back from injury, and played 90mins on Thursday, that might be too much of an ask for him. We need to be careful with him. I will also want Hojlund to start he didn't play that much, he need to biuld his confidence more. You are right about Shaw. It’s probably too soon after playing 60mins. I however think it is crucial we rest Maguire and Yoro to avoid season ending injury. Maguire himself just passed fitness tests a couple of weeks ago. Yoro has played a lot this month and had probably being our best defender in that period. Unless Amorim wants to risk Kukonki instead of Shaw which is unlikely. Heaven would have been the obvious choice but he got injured again in training. Those players have made things difficult by allowing that match go into extra time. You also have a point about Rasmus but we have played him over and over again this season and the confidence is still nowhere to be found. At this point I think we should start looking at building our own confidence for the future rather than prioritising a single player’s confidence. We need to find out how ready Obi in particular is to contribute to the team. |
