If it is skill he is AWB’s oga, but playing RB takes more than just attacking skill. AWB is a 1v1 defensive beast and so will always get a chance in the set up of a manager like Amaka.

You are not debunking any claim. Benching a player can affect form. This is not even up for debate. Why else do they sometimes loan out young players instead of keeping them on the senior team bench?

You learn and improve more from real game time than just training sessions. And this is most important at CB where it is all about partnerships.

If a CB pairing are not on the same page a simple thing like keeping an offside trap will look like WAEC.

Timing is everything. There are times you let go of a manager not really because he is terrible but because you have the opportunity to appoint a really good one. That was what happened when SAF took over from Big Ron. It was not that Ron Atkinson was a terrible manager, he just wasn't a special one.

Unless you are sure that the Glazers will spend 150m on Kane and still spend another 150m to buy quality CDM, CB, RW this might just end up like the Pogba issue. Instead of buying 2 quality midfielders for 50m each like i wanted we spent 80m on 1 player that it took 3-4 years to get someone to unlock him.

If the Glazers are going to blow the whole transfer budget on Kane when we have Cavani, Rashford, Greenwood, Martial in attack and leave us to manage Magelof and McFred then questions have to be asked.

The incontrovertible mistakes were made by James who believed himself to be the 2nd coming of Michael Laudrup and Jorginho who appointed himself traffic controller.

Wrong pass into traffic by Reece James. Wrong decision by Jorginho to run parallel to Tielemans. Poor dive by Kepa.

If one is to look at it critically Kepa who has been the most vilified here is actually the least culpable of the 3, but the thing is when people already hate you they will find something to hang you with.

Just one header from Allison that won't likely be repeated in his career again suddenly makes him a better header of the ball than Maguire.

If he was allowed to go forward for corners maybe he would score more. Maguire is actually a very poor offensive header of the ball in case you don’t know.
Winning headers is different from being a good header of the ball. He wins a lot of headers but as per quality heading he is thrash.

Maguire that heads the ball skywards almost every time he is in the opposition box. That is how you head when defending not when you are trying to score.
He should watch clips of Gullit, Casiraghi, Bierhoff etc to see how it is done.

It might be true though. Maguire heads the ball defensively in both boxes. The way you head in your box is not the way you head in the opposition box but he seems not to have grasped this.

Judging by the way Allison headed that ball he understands that principle very well. He just might be a better header of the ball than Maguire.
