Credit to Dortmund they polished his game and smart enough to shift him to the right, he has become more direct ever since.

He was already getting more direct before he left City. In his last season with the youth team he had 20 goals and 7 assists in 33 games.



He is capable on both wings. That solves a number of problems for us.

The difference is that Rashford’s case was a surprise even to people that personally attend the youth team matches. It is therefore not surprising that he has simmered a bit.

He is a very good player definitely but senior team players were not rushing to go watch him in youth team sessions the way they did for Greenwood, Giggs, and a few others.

I started watching him when he was 15. I had 2 concerns then, his lack of strength and also his inefficient running style. His finishing, touch, and decision making was always ahead of his age mates.

Over the last 3 years he has slowly but surely improved every facet of his game but he took a quantum leap in terms of strength and running during this COVID-19 break.

That is the same reason I am so sure Sancho will be a hit.
That guy terrorized youth teams in England before he left. Foden, Hudson Ode, Gomes dem all knew he was their boss.
His Dortmund exploits only solidified what people suspected. I will look for a video to post here to show what Sancho was doing and you will understand why i think Rashford might be the one to hit the bench.

Using both feet so effectively is just the cherry on top of the cake that is made up of his accuracy, calmness in front of goal, his quick release with minimal back lift and very importantly his timing of his shots that means the ball leaves his foot while the keepers are still getting their feet planted.

If Greenwood was only left footed he still would be a better finisher than Rashford but possibly below Martial. Being 2 footed places him above Martial. I have watched the boy for 3 years. Nothing he is doing now surprises me.

This is the most sensible thing to do. I see guys saying we shouldn't change anything, but I'll rather we rest players than have someone like Pogba pull his hamstring then be out for two weeks. Out of the top 5 teams, I think we're the one who has rotated the least so far. Our players are not robots, and history should serve us right - towards the end of last season, we were flying high until injury kicked in and everything went to shiit. If not because deputy players like Mata, Perreira, Lingard are irredemably useless, we really should be resting some of the guys in the midfield and up front at least for an entire half. Since we can't do this, our best bet is to finish games off early, reduce the tempo and make wholesale changes early enough. This race would go down the wire, and if we would be needing point(s) in our final game against Leicester, I would want a fit 11, not a team assembled with the Perreiras and Matas because Rashford and Pogba are injured

You are most likely right but you have to remember we would really be adding 3 players: Sancho, Bruno, Greenwood.

Bruno came when we were already way down in the standings. Check our how many points and goals we have since he came here.

Greenwood really has been a bit part player until recently.

If you think Greenwood is good now i don’t know what you will think next season when he starts dribbling past 2-3 people and creating loads of assists as well as finishing at a high clip.

Sancho would be another assist king. The boy is maybe just below Greenwood in talent.

By the end of next season it might be a battle between the natural talent of Martial and the hard work of Rashford for who gets the 3rd starting spot.
