Compare the gap between Matic and McTom/Fred to the gap between Pogba and McTom/Fred and between Bruno and Mata.

Matic is more dispensable than Pogba and Bruno. If you want to debate that further you are on your own.

This is the first time in ages we've got almost a perfect squad. If the board can go out there and get us Sancho and then a pacy CB to partner HM. Then forget it, we are covered. I'll still give Shaw some time. If he can't make it.. Then BW will bench him outright without bat of eyelid. We need deputies for Bruno.. Pogba can be deputized by Fred.. But none for Bruno.

This Shaw that I am seeing will make it o. Who knew that getting him real competition for his position was the incentive he needed.
The guy has had 3-4 potential quality assists wasted since the return of games and his energy up and down that left flank keeps getting better.

If anyone has to be rested maybe those 2 BUT the best strategy is to start with a strong 11 finish the game in 60 minutes and then rest the players.

Rashford has the lowest natural talent potential of the 4 however the highest work ethic.
Martial has very high natural talent but possibly the lowest work ethic.

Greenwood can bench Martial at CF.

Greenwood might be the one to be benched for a couple of years until his body fully matures.

At no point did I say it was necessary. Maguire overdoes it and for a so called left sided center back he is too right foot dependent for my liking.

Also i did it say it was either due to inability to trust his left foot or reluctance. Whatever the reason it is irritating to watch him creep close and crowd Shaw out before releasing the ball.

The smarter and better move is to give the ball to the full back early and using the left foot affords him this opportunity OR maybe it’s cos Maguire has read so much about how good he is on the ball he has started believing his own hype to the detriment of the team.

It's even easy playing it with the right foot than left.

As a right footer playing in lindelofs position I'll rather play the ball with my left to wan bisaka( if he is at my right hand side) than use my right.

Someone in Lindelof’s position using the left foot to pass the ball over long distances to the RB will have the passes cut out by the opposition players a large chunk of the time.

It is a risky pass and would lead to turnovers, that is why Maguire inches towards Shaw like a crab before passing the ball.

It's very easy to pass the ball to the left side with your right leg....

Left to Right ......Right to Left

It’s not about which is easier. The reason the other way is better is because of the lower chance of interception.

The reason Maguire moves close to Shaw before passing with his right foot is because he knows if he tried it over a longer distance the opposition midfielders are more likely to intercept it.

A left footer in that position won’t have such problems same as a right footer playing RCB like Lindelof.

The safer and more efficient way is for a Centre back to open his body up and pass outwards NOT pass across his body.

It is a simple sturvs.

If he carries the ball to meet Shaw it's because he wants to not cos he doesn't play with the left foot. He can easily pass to Shaw with his right foot from his position, he just needs a touch to position the ball to his right.

I thought Maguire only play on the left that was why Lindelof moved over.

He is right footed though so I am sure he can play RCB if played there. His reluctance or inability to pass out of the back to his full back with his left foot affects our build up play.

There is a difference on the other side where Lindelof can play quick and crisp passes out to the RB and RWF from a distance without overcrowding the area.

Walking to Shaw before giving him the ball thereby overloading that area with bodies makes the job so much harder for the guy.

This point does not really matter anymore, a high proportion of premier league stadium pitches are of the size and most use the same surface tech called Desso Grassmaster which is a combo of artificial and natural grass.

This is a major reason why there have been an increased amount of away wins in football since football resumed with no spectators.

They aren’t the same size. There is a standard range from big pitches like the 2 Manchester clubs to tiny ones like you would find with Crystal Palace and even pretenders like Chelshit.

Apart from his size and strength on the ball i noticed that he is regaining his speed again.

He was slower last year as he grew taller and used to stumble when trying to sprint, but since the restart that has been cut down to a minimum.
