I don’t know what happened to Paddy but so many youth players with potential were wrecked by the post-Fergie chaos. Some had more potential than others but we will never know.

This is not the time to rotate for rotation sake. 5 subs are allowed, so sew up the match and then make changes in the 2nd half.

Fred can’t step in for Matic and play with Pogba and Bruno.
Or at least he shouldn’t.

Fred is too weak, too easily outmuscled, and too easily dribbled to be the only protecting the defence when Pogba and Bruno bomb forward.

If Fred plays it should be with Matic or with McTom.

Edit: But on another thought, our second string players should be able to beat this Bournemouth team at home especially with their abysmal form. As Ole cited some few knocks in the first team, this might also be a good opportunity for rotation and give some players like Matic and maybe Shaw some rest.

Foden was the one already playing with the game awareness and maturity of a seasoned pro hence the hype.

For some reason Dylan Levitt has not been given any real opportunity even though he has impressed as a midfield controller for the last 2 years.
I am suspecting it is because of his physique as he is a skinny lad. I love his passing range, awareness, and composure on the ball.

Hannibal Mejbri is tipped to be the next world beater after Greenwood but he is still probably 2 years away.

VDB would still end up on the bench to cos he isn’t displacing Pogba or Bruno and won’t be an ideal CDM with those 2.

Whether it is Maddison or VDB or Grealish, we would be buying midfielders for the squad so our game play does not go to shyte the moment Pogba and Bruno are injured or rested.

The only spaces for a first team player are CDM where Matic is aging and McTom is not yet trusted AND RWF where Mason is young and James is rubbish.

It’s a complex issue. Even though we can improve at CDM i think the committee of Matic,McTom, Fred can be managed for another season.

The problem is at no10 whereby once Bruno is not there the game play collapses ( It is now established that Pogba is no8).

The other main problem is at RWF where James is useless and MasonG is still young.

Dalot is almost certainly going. The only question mark is Laird’s recent injury worries.

Talent wise he is already better than Dalot and was the reason Williams moved from RB to LB.

I have seen Maddison play 10 at a top club and i have seen Grealish play LWF at a bottom club.

Since Ighalo is there till January, Sancho will be better. Martial, Rashford and Greenwood all can play from the Centre, plus Ighalo. Sancho and James for the right wing, that's quality squad depth.

With Pogba, Fred, Bruno, Mctoms, Matic and Grealish. Lingard, Perriera and Mata must be moved on. We need to promote some academy players TBH.

I think the future of Williams is in the right side, let him and AWB hold that side while we find a world class LB.

The problem is that Ethan Laird has always been more highly rated at RB than Williams, and he has just been promoted to the senior squad by Ole.

Next season would likely see AWB and Laird at RB with Shaw and Williams at LB.

This Grealish almost never plays centrally, always LWF.

I am quite suspicious of the guy. He is not quick enough to play on the wings for a top club and we have not really seen him play that 10 position in the EPL.

Should have done better though. He's a youngster and doesn't want to wait for his turn, then he should have made it impossible to be ignored. Those that have been accepted into the first took their chances at first asking. I doubt his mentality and strength to do well in the first team of a big club

It is all moot now though. Maybe he could have tried harder but he definitely didn’t get enough opportunity.

I actually prefer him leaving cos his career would have stagnated with so many senior options in his preferred position.

Leaving is the best option for him personally but he had better choose a club that has time and space for him.

Fair enough.. about the coaches though, they might feel you're not ready at the time or those selected where better for the time being. Take Salah and even KDB for instance under Mou, those in the first eleven were better at the time considering the type of football Mou plays and they couldn't take squad roles so they left, if the manager keep playing youths with potentials but keep losing games, he'll be hammered. Same with Gomes, great potential but maybe he needs to continue some where else.

SOME of the minutes given to Pereira and Lingard could have gone to him. It’s not like the preferred players were setting the league alight. We were still losing and drawing games until Bruno came along.
