Doc...... Silva actually caught my Attention, not Cavani. But as you said, if PSG could release them, apparently they're finished. Silva is THIRTY-FIVE years old (THIRTY-SIX by next season) and injury prone in the less physical French league. This would be worse than Schweinsteiger. |

The BLM movement's Leadership needs to distance themselves far away from these sets of Lousy yobs.
E Be like say you be mind reader I looked into their leadership and i don’t think they are suited or prepared for this scale of protest. It appears that at this moment when direction is needed African-Americans are suffering from a dearth of visionary and charismatic leaders. |

These guys must be crazy. I won't even blame BLM. These must be those foolish "woke" University radicals. I understand the call to remove the statues of people like Nathan Forrest and Robert Lee who are essentially traitors to the USA who over the question of slavery fought a war that cost the most American lives in history. Forrest in addition was a KKK founding member. Beyond that i don’t see the point in going around pulling down statues, distracting people from the core issues that need to be addressed. |

They'll be heading for the Palace next by the looks of things. This thing will degenerate into a farce if care is not taken. The movement urgently needs leadership and direction, and not of the social media variety. |

Ibime: BLM have allowed White Anarchists to hijack their movement, now they are trying to tear down Winston Churchill's statue, turning most of the country against them.
Winston Churchill's crime is writing racist reports as a reporter during The Boer War in South Africa in 18-something, same as Mahatma Gandhi did. I wonder if these anarchists would try this rubbish to Gandhi's statue in India as they are doing to who most Britons consider their greatest ever leader
This is why I can't join hands with confusionists and repeat once again that Britain is one of the most liberal countries on Mother Earth. I can't look at countries like Russia, India, Eastern Europe, even US and join hand with those who harshly accuse Britain of not being a fair society in comparison especially coming from a country like Nigeria where my life doesn't matter and Hausa man will not give Igbo man job and vice-versa. They should try attack the statue of the greatest leader in any country and see if they won't leave that place in bodybags.
Imagine trying to pull Jaja of Opobo statue down for his crimes against Igbo and Ibeno tribes, meanwhile Churchills crime is just writing racist words as a young reporter during a racist era. If say Churchill had not stepped up to fight the Nazis, Hitler would have killed or enslaved all our grandparents. George Floyd died far away in Minnesota, and you allow some anarchists to hijack your movement in a way that could make your life uncomfortable where you are enjoying decent life. These people should behave with sense please. I knew this would happen especially after the protests spread outside the USA to countries where racism was mainly covert and where there was little or no police brutality against blacks. The major problem with BLM is its lack of leadership, be it intellectual or organizational. It is a genuinely mob-led movement with a high probability of being derailed and hijacked. The Civil Rights movement of the 60s was blessed with leaders like MLK Jnr, Bayard Rustin, Asa Randolph, Ralph Abernathy, James Baldwin etc. Those guys worked together to give the movement a focus and a purpose. This current movement is so chaotic and seems to be led by a confused mix of athletes, comedians and partisan journalists and politicians. Those UK protesters are silly. The Black Americans who are being brutalized have not pulled down the statues of slave owners like George Washington and Thomas Jefferson but they want to pull down Churchill’s statue. |

Anyways its all for fitness purposes..for the remaining 9 games, who do you think between pogba and Bruno would be more productive,ie statistically speaking Bruno looks like a more natural team player than Pogba so far. Also he tends to speed the game up for the team whereas Pogba in many circumstances slows the game down. It is hard to say, but Pogba is a player that thrives only in certain circumstances while Bruno can slot in more easily in different systems. Having said that, Pogba has a higher ceiling (just that he might never get there). |

Have you seen the last dance?
I don't think MJ really considers himself black tbh...I think on a census he would identify as Green - Plenty Money LOL. Yeah MJ is very pro-Green, and even though he has been quiet for a long time at least he hasn’t denied his race. Tiger actually said he does not consider himself black. Maybe now the prominent black athletes will feel more comfortable making big statements against injustice like their ancestors in the 60s. |

Nihilist I agree with you about the insidious nature of racism in places like the UK, and even Australia.
If this faux woke upsurge can be translated into action then maybe there can be some benefit to it.
Like you once said, you can’t force someone to love you. What blacks want is just equal opportunity and equal justice, not love.
Another funny group is the group of the Oprahs, Michael Jordans, Tiger Woods.
Oprah has always been selective in her activism while the other two have been eternally silent on black issues.
At least MJ is now (FINALLY) speaking out though Tiger continues with his Cablinasian delusion. |

nihilistjnr: To be honest, where were the NFL players themselves?
In that NFL scenario, it wasn't just Roger Goodell that blackballed Kap, Kap's own black colleagues left him out to dry as well.
Anyway as you know, UK politics is extremely different to US. That's why the two-faced thing hits really differently for me.
My office is based in London, the home of the majority of black people in the UK. For 2 years, the company had only 1 black guy on their books. I joined last year, and that guy left, so I was the only black guy in the office until one other guy was hired during lockdown
How can you be talking about BLM when as a London based company, you don't even recruit niggas? That was the irony for me.
And that's the irony of the 'white alliance' in UK. Because racism in UK is very rarely in your face like in Yankee, a lot of these closet racists, can play woke and maybe not even believe that they are racist....and it rankles for me. Many other players also knelt apart from Kaepernick, he was just the first and most prominent. Eric Reid was the first to join him and he has continued kneeling for 3 years. Kenny Stills and Albert Wilson also knelt for a few years. Actually dozens of players knelt in the first 2 years until “the man” got them with overt and covert threats and lots of bullying from press, fans, and politicians. Not everyone has the moral fibre or the financial security to be a freedom fighter. Colin’s stance cost him the peak of his career and tens of millions of dollars potentially. And not coming out aggressively in support of something is different to actively fighting against it (which is what the owners did). They basically labeled kneeling during the national anthem to treason. And the blackballing didn’t actually come from Goodell but mainly from the rich white billionaires that own the teams. Goodell is basically an employee with big salary. |

nihilistjnr: My chairman,
So many white people marching for BLM here in UK, many of whom if you check them well na closet racists.
I even saw a chinko man pulling down that statue in Bristol. I was like chinko sef dey protest slavery?
Once again, a black thing is being appropriated by certain white people wishing to feel good about their piety and piousness.
I am one of two black men in our office, but it was a white girl at our staff meeting on Monday who asked the CEO what the company was going to do about BLM.
I'm like aunty who asked you to speak for me? I had to jump into a political conversation I don't like to have at work, to ensure some white middle-class girl wasn't speaking about black issues
One middle-class Indian girl now came to add LGBT campaign to the mix.
I was fuming. They wan turn black skin to prop. It can be irritating especially when it comes to those that are closet racists who are just paying lip service and those who are just bandwagoners. However it can be a positive thing too because every major advancement in the black civil rights history in the USA has been when a good number of whites joined the blacks in protest ( or even took the lead in the fight). Abolition of slave trade and abolition of slavery happened mainly due to efforts of white men. NAACP was formed with a combo effort by both races and had white leaders initially. The marches of the 60s had a lot of whites involved too although by this time blacks had taken over leadership of the movement. I have no problem with Caucasian, Asian, Jewish etc who either “have found religion” or were always silent objectors to the injustice and inequality. It is those ones with history (in some cases, recent history) of racist or racially biased behavior and/or utterances that are now forming “woke” that draw my ire. I am talking about the NFL owners that blackballed Colin Kaepernick, the politicians and journalists that have always spoken out against the BLM movement. All those with history of racist/anti-BLM tweets and statements. |

nihilistjnr: If this is true, then this might not have even been a racist murder - it might have simply been a settled score.
A lot of positives have come out of this incident, and the protests all over the world were long overdue anyway.... If they can prove they knew each other and maybe there was some preceding beef it is just a little distance to claiming premeditation, and possibly upgrading to 1st degree murder. Unless the prosecutor does keeper fumble that guy will spend a long long time in jail. Meanwhile it is funny to see so many pseudo-pro BLM supporters coming out of the woodwork like creepy crawlies. |

patrickmuf: Well, Neres had an injury plagued season thus his Stat will definitely not match up to Sancho.
One thing about Sancho I have noticed whenever I watch him is that he likes drifting from the RW to LW or AM however, I am not sure if he does that to allow Hakimi the space to bomb forward or if it's part of his game. Any idea?
Sancho will be welcomed by me but not anlt an outrageous price tag. Definitely not an outrageous price tag. I agree 100% on that. Dortmund’s coaching staff like to tinker a lot so sometimes their formation requires him to play more centrally. For instance this season they have played a lot of 3-4-3 meaning the attacking wide men have to play more centrally to allow the wingbacks (Hakimi and Guerreiro) the space to overlap. He is very good with interplay centrally and would fit in very well with Bruno and Martial, but can also take his man on in wide areas AT THE RIGHT TIME and beat him individually. |

Ravioli: Louder Doc, I can't hear you from the back. I can understand the reluctance of many to rate him highly cos of the usual English hype and also because of the poor records of several high profile Bundesliga products recently, but I can only go by what he has done HIMSELF not the records of those who failed before him. He is by some distance the best young wing forward prospect in the world at this time. There are no guarantees in transfers but he is by far the surest bet. The fact that he played mostly on the left at City and mostly on the right at Dortmund is also a bonus. |

patrickmuf: Yes, he is another fantastic winger who can comfortably operate on either wings.
Sancho gets the edge because he is English and as per tradition, we need to maintain that English base. If for any reason, we don't get Sancho, then Neres should do... Sancho is 3 years younger and already better with better stats and better decision making than Neres. In particular Sancho is a better passer and crosser than Neres and gets far more assists and goals. Sancho’s edge is not just cos he his English. In fact i can say many people here actually rate him poorly because he is English. |

ChristineC: Pogba doesn't have to leave. better Kia Havertz as an option. upgrade on the quality of replacements are still pending. I hear this is Lingard's last season with the club. Fair enough. I just don’t see the Glazers buying Sancho and Havertz, and keeping Pogba in this economic climate. If they do kudos to them. Havertz should be a step up to all our AM options outside Pogba and Bruno. If that happens though a player like Gomes had better leave for his own good. |
