I can't say when exactly he stopped being world class lol. I never even said he stopped being world class
From the age of 26 to the age of 34 he scored 47 league goals.

A striker averaging less than 6 league goals per season IN HIS TWENTIES.

So is Torres world class? If not when did he stop being world class, if yes how ?

At his current age, nobody expects world class performance from him anymore. He's world class but he's not expected to have that world class performance he used to have. The same for every other player around his age.

Hazard has no excuse. His team just won the Champions League before he got there. Pogba joined a team that hasn't done anything for the past 3 seasons. The team had struggled for identity and even to make top four was a very big deal.
Another question. When did Torres stop being world class? How old was he then?

Elamps has a point about Shaw but the way he express his opinion in prideful manner no go allow una gree. Shaw is a very vertical fullback, good at running in straight line but doesn't know how to play inside when line is blocked.

UNA NO KNOW BALL!
The main issue I have with him is witch-hunting Shaw and blaming him for Sanchez’ struggles but Martial has come in there now and is not struggling like Sanchez.

Young is better going forward than Shaw but for the balance of the team I will prefer Young on he right and Shaw on the left.

Shaw does not have the acceleration he had before his injury. And Young as a former winger would usually have the advantage in attacking areas anyways.

Sanchez was also pretty much free. How much do you think he's actually going to cost? Ramsey wont come cheap in wages. Like I said, it'll be a case of signing a player we don't need rather than focusing on players we do need.
Exactly.

We can’t keep getting players just because they are free as if we are shopping at Tesco or Woolworth’s.

We need to be smart and buy talented players that will be an upgrade on what we have and help us build a TEAM.

I would rather develop Perreira rather than buy another average player into that midfield.

Bros go an check out rattlesnake 1,2, and 3

That's probably the greatest nollywood saga ever made. Filmed completely in Igbo.

This was during the classic era of Nollywood, so there were a lot of contenders

Living in bondage, Silent night, Domitilla, Nneka the pretty serpent, don't mess with my tutu(can't remember the name of this one now), battle of musanga, glamour girls, one film like that where omotola and late henshaw both went to prison, Onome, etc.

but to me, Rattlesnake beats them all. Isakaba was particularly trash though - maybe part 1 was decent

I haven't really watched nollywood movies since the first osuofia and aki/pawpaw films hit the scene, partly because I've outgrown them, and partly because I don't recognise the new actors anymore.

But mehn 90s Nollywood was the best Nollywood. cheesy

I don't know Phillip osondu or any of the names you mentioned there abeg. You made those assertions based on the logic I used to compare Messi and Hazard.

I trust my logic, so if you agree enough with my logic to use it in your own assertions, then I see it as someone agreeing with my postulation and simply using it to pay homage to my brilliance.

I thank you for that and I can agree with you franchising my logic cheesy
Thanks for agreeing with me on the Hazard/Manga Mohammed/Snodgrass issue bro.
Big ups to you for that. cheesy

Unfortunately Hazard can’t use that logic in his favour as his talent level is below Messi.

I can agree with you though that Hazard with the right mentality and cast could be nearly as good as Neymar or Mbappe. cheesy

you used the same logic I used to compare Hazard to Messi.

If you're using that logic, then you have agreed that Messi and Hazard are in the same skill bracket.

shikena. cheesy
Using that logic does not mean one can compare everything under the sun. The talent level has to be equal for the logic to work.

You in your wisdom assessed the talent level of Stanley Okoro, Philip Osondu, Zaha and Gael Kakuta and AGREED that the only difference between them and Hazard was supporting cast and mentality as the talent was equal.

So we AGREED on Hazard being Okoro and Ikedia level. You agreed with me

I still state that Hazard has far lower talent than Messi, so alas the logic can’t work for him.

We DO NOT agree on this.

Thanks bro for seeing the Hazard/Zaha/Manga Mohammed issue my way finally. grin

This is what you said.

and you came to that conclusion using my argument in bold

simple logical induction

If Stanley Okoro = Hazard

and Hazard = Messi

Then Stanley Okoro = Messi.

So like I said earlier, thanks for agreeing with me. cheesy
Here is where you missed the boat.

We BOTH agreed that Stanley Okoro = Hazard
but we did not agree that Hazard=Messi.

The only agreement is that Hazard and Okoro have the same talent level but just different mentality and supporting cast.

Hazard vs Messi was never agreed on.

Thanks for seeing the light and agreeing with me that Hazard and Dahiru Sadi have the same talent level bro.
Salud! grin

Bros you were the one that joined my camp.

We now both agree that Philip Osondu,Stanley Okoro and Hazard are of the same talent level like I said all along. So you now accepting what I initially postulated means you now agree with me.

I appreciate that bro. Thanks gaan cheesy

The Hazard/Messi debate is still just that, a debate. No agreement there.

John Ene Okon and Peter Nieketien had as much talent as Hazard but didn’t have the right support around them.

.

In the latest 'The best awards', Messi was number 5, Hazard was number 7...So in the eyes of FIFA, Messi and Hazard are actually not far off each other.

Messi was playing with Coutinho, Suarez, Rakitic, Busquets etc.
Hazard was playing with Victor Moses, Morata and Bakayoko who to be honest are actually crystal palace level.

of course, I believe Zaha can elevate a few more levels when he joins a bigger team

Let him start by winning a spot in PFA first.

btw, Pogba without dabbing and overskill = Etebo cheesy
Lol you are preaching to the choir. Etebo and Ndidi are my best Naija midfielders and my criticism of Pogba is well documented.

Ndidi Anumnu and Siyabonga Nomvete were on Hazard’s level but didn’t have the right mentality.

Even Luke Chadwick, Gael Kakuta and Tarila Okorowanta.
Sam Pam with the right mentality would have been as good as Hazard.

Even Ben Jaga who was one of the big boys on campus those days and Vincent a.k.a Vincoil who dominated the Pepsi sponsored inter block football competitions back in the day.

Very similar style and talent level to Hazard but sadly lacking in the appropriate mentality.

Zaha is on the same talent level as Hazard.

If only he had Hazard’s supporting cast AND mentality he would be as good if not better than Hazard.

Manga Mohammed, Philip Osondu, and Femi Opabunmi as well.

All on Hazard’s talent level but sadly derailed by lack of a supporting cast and/or mentality.
