RomanceRe: Why Are Some Nigerian Guys So Misogynistic? by AfroKnight: 2:51am On Sep 25, 2015
When a lady wants to reap where she did not sow and a guy resists her she calls him a misogynist, uncaring, stingy, etc. When a guy treats you like his equal by asking you to pay your share of the bill, you say he is not a gentleman that he should pick up the bill LIKE A MAN. undecided When it's time to move heavy furniture or switch on the generator or fix a simple gadget in the office or at home, the women ask the men to do "their job". undecided The weirdest is when two lovers are walking on the road and the woman expects the man to shield her from traffic with his body. undecided undecided undecided

Women are the champions of gender-based roles yet they blame men for inequality. What do you women really want?

Sounds fishy. Does she end all her calls to her other friends with "I love you" ? Her affections shouldn't be limited to only one friend if "friendship" for saying that is her only excuse. What's good for the Greek is good for the Ugandan.

Bro you don't understand. I didn't say those who don't have first class are not intelligent. I am just challenging the implausible assumption that some first class graduates are dull. Bro how is that possible?

not all of them. In seen students crammed their ways to first class. I have seen some of them settled lecturers to get first class., some even buy it. So, tell me. Does my assertion make sense now?
Bro, it's 1st class we are talking about not 2:1. You may buy your way into 2:1 but 1st class requires consistent excellent results. How would you buy a 1st class degree? Would the student successfully bribe every lecturer at every level and for every course? Come on, that's implausible. I don't know what university you are using as a reference here but that notion is still a long shot bro. It is amusing that you think some first class graduates are unintelligent. Haba! I hope this is not prejudice speaking.

It would have been better if you had said some 2:2 graduates are more intelligent than their 1st class colleagues. Now, that's plausible. Perhaps they were uninterested or victimized and so did not graduate with their desired grades but my brother, first class graduates are intelligent.

Please don't stay off. I am a testimony. I applied for a job with a, second class upper, but had lower class. But I passed the three stages of the interview and I am now an assistant manager. Those that we came in with better results, are now my junior. With that, I leave in one of the most expensive estates in Nigeria.

Bro, class of degree does not matter. Not every first class candidate is intelligent. If you are employed, you need to go the extra mile to convince your employer beyond their expectations. Prayer works too. So please, give it a shot. After all, their is no failure in trying. If you never tried, you are a failure.

Go ahead
I was nodding in agreement until I read "Not every first class candidate is intelligent". Bros haba. This is First class you're talking about. 4.5 or higher GPA!

LMFAO. I hope the same applies to you tongue IDK why some guys like to throw marriage around if they have no intention of ever marrying the person.

I once watched an episode of that show Deadly Women on ID. It was this girl's wedding day & the groom never showed up. He literally ditched her at the alter, wedding gown & all. This traumatised the girl so much, she went on to be a black widow. She married men only to kill them later on for life-insurance. She married several times. Over 10 times & each time ended with her as a rich widow. The creepiest part is, her maid told a story of how her madam would get dressed up in a wedding gown for no reason. Her very 1st one. The one she was ditched wearing. She still had it. I guess as a reminder to catch them 1st before they catch you. That story touched me because of how people are quick to discard someone without a 2nd thought, not knowing the damage & scarring they're leaving behind.
Lol. That's a crazy woman. Wearing the wedding dress? Creepy.

If she had charged her first fiancé to court she would have been compensated and not become a serial killer. It's very painful to get ditched. Same thing applies to ladies who say yes after a marriage proposal then ditch their fiancés. The guys should sue them.

angry the story says he stabbed the victim in the shoulder with a knife. The court says he cut the victim in the chest and left hand with a machete. Hmmm. Something doesn't look right. Hope this man has a lawyer. If it was in self defence then I don't think it should be labeled murder. The fellow definitely needs a lawyer.

I don't care about who is smarter. I just think it's rude of her to bring an entourage on your 1st date. Who does that?
Some babes are like that here. If they don't like the guy they try to waste his money. Luckily I've never had to deal with that.

I think the ladies like me.... Don't know why.... Guess it's cos I'm every lady's dream. grin

Friends & family would just have to get over it. The only time I'd sue is if there are expenses that I think he should compensate me on, otherwise deuces. All that "emotional what what" is too embarrassing for me. I watch these court shows on tv & see people suing over this thing. I forgot what it's called in law terms-Emotional "something". Meh.

Lol, you must be mean & strict.
Lol. But he was very wicked to have called the whole thing off, giving her such a flimsy excuse. No one should try that with my sister and get away with it. grin We're going to court, bro. grin After paying a huge sum in damages, he'd think twice before raising the hopes of another lady.

grin but I could forgive and forget as well. Depends on his reaction when she confronts him. If he goes cocky on my sister, he'll get served. angry

hmmm...
Yes honey. In some ways, rape affects a man as much as a woman cos he has been exposed to the risk of infections without his consent. Sex is a very exhausting activity for men and none should engage in it unprepared.

You know women generally _orgasm much later than guys so the male victim of rape would definitely not have satisfied his attacker after the first round. We have read numerous stories of men who died after marathon sex. It's dangerous o.

Understood but still it's coockoo lol. Just because there are laws, doesn't mean you should sue every time someone crosses them. Some things are better left uncontested for one's pride & dignity.
Lol. If she feels humiliated I believe she should let the courts punish him instead of taking the law into her own hands. In Nigeria, traditional wedding is the business of the whole family. All those friends and extendedfamily members who heard the good news and had begun preparations towards the wedding would have to be informed. It is an embarrassing situation for the bride to be.

She said wants to "kill him". grin She may be expressing outrage and not actual intention but that shows the level of hurt. Charging him to court for the pain and shame he caused is not too much. If she were my sister I would advice her to sue his cheating _ass. I added "Cheating" cos he got a new lover all too soon and that's suspect.

Lol, that's so humiliating. Imagine suing someone because they didn't marry you when they promised they would. I'd rather walk on red hot coals than take that ish to court. So they didn't end up marrying me, lighters up & then we keep it moving. There's something very unsettling about someone that'd go to any lengths to correct a wrong done to them. It just screams psycho chic.
Lol. But the it's her right to sue him for compensation. She has invested a lot into the relationship. She could seek redress if she wants. grin

dat I do not give him attention, dat am nt always dere wen he wants me
That's a flimsy excuse from him. He has been looking for a way to dump you since.

I would have said you should try to get him back but he will keep reminding you that you're the one who begged him back when he wanted to leave.

I read on Nairaland sometime ago about a girl who sued her fiancé for dumping her after promising marriage. Later, I checked and such laws exist regarding promise of marriage. Since he has come to collect marriage list then he has made a commitment to marry you and has committed an offence (breach of promise to marry or something like that). You should meet your lawyer for further direction if you want to take his matter up.

Breaking up after promising to marry your partner (I guess that includes saying yes after proposal) is not as simple as we think.

Does it matter if he enjoys it? If you think a male victim of rape enjoys it then female victims too enjoys it. Perhaps we should embark on a raping spree then since the victims might enjoy it, right?
