Why should I believe that someone died for 'sins' which I was yet to commit over 2,000 years ago? This means God knew I would sin. So why punish me for it? Or better still why create me with sin, why don't you expunge it out of my system instead of punishing me for it

Hell fire is for those that reject what Christ has done already thereby resorting to help themselves of which they can’t...

On the judgement day, that's when hell fire will be opened for the first time. Satan and those who did not believe in Jesus will be thrown in there. Untill then, it is reserved

Career › Re: Lecturing Job Vs MNC Job Which Do You Prefer? by afroxyz: 6:45am On Apr 24, 2016
Are you going to be a staff/contract worker in the Multinational?

What are the career prospects in the MNC?

What us renumeration and packages and would you be paid off when they decide to lay off workers?

Start off as a lecturer, in the long run the MNC can hire you as a consultant which is way more that what you would be paid at the MNC. Besides lecturing affords you the opportunity to travel round the world.

Stay with your boss. You have a higher chance of learning the business side of things. This is gained by trust not salary increase. I suggest stay with your boss for now, probably till when you finish, unless he is ungrateful, it is a relationship you may want to draw from when you start your own business

You can rant all you like. If her husband goes to the market for her and she has kept her marriage for 18 years in a society where men are prone to being egoistic and women are been cultured to be submissive, maybe there is a lot you need to learn

Omotola, u r a yoruba woman for crying out loud, don't knw of any other tribe but u knw right frm d beginning our forefathers believe it's an abomination for a man to do such a thing.
Thanks for TECHNOLOGY, what d forefathers see as an abominatn is nw a normal thing to do for some of our Nowadays husbands.
Dear, u can proudly say it wenever ur husband does things lyk dis, but not for the reason u gave.
STATUS? So what! Pls don't be deceived, ur husband is only doing it cos he loves u!
My friends hus does'nt hav any work n he still orders the wife who is a banker around.he even report her to me of recent that she refuses to wash his undies.
So stop bragging, ur hus ll nt lyk it.
God ll continue to help ur marriage.
Cheers
Oh just STFU you righteous prick. If she goes to the market she can't get any shopping done. She would be mobbed. People hardly know her husband probably that's why he does the shopping. Besides he may even be doing the shopping in a mall. Its just understand between them. For someone whose marriage has been.free from scandal and divorce for about 18 years, I think you should learn a lot.

Career › Re: Should I Resign My New Job For A Contract Job? by afroxyz: 1:27pm On Apr 12, 2016
I would have loved to hear the job description so that I would advise your further. People are saying the brand shell would open doors for you, but it depends on your job. What if after 4 years you don't get another one, what do you do? You mentioned that the current one you are working in is 100k and there is career progression and possibly more security. I seriously advise you to stick with that one. A contract job is a contract job. Your appointment can be terminated even before the expiration of the four years. However if you want to take the shell job, what are your plans after the four years if you don't get another one? I suggest you have a contingency plan in place. Also in your current organisation, where do you see your self 4 years? Woukd you be earning as much as you would be earning in Shell or more in 4 years time? You may think 4 years is a lot of time, but it's not. However from your feedback it seems you have made your mind to take the shell job

My dear truck business goes with so many problem. Are you ready for that, the driver is another problem of his own .Most of them are full of stories if you don't have heart i do not advice you. They nearly kill my hubby with heart attack if not God intervention it could have been a different story . I don't think i will advice someone who is close to me to go into such business .
True. But one can install a car tracker on his truck, thereby you can monitor the business of the truck. Also if the truck develops a fault before 12pm, you can go ad visually insect the truck with your mechanic and you bear the costs. But anything after 12, na tge driver go carry the geese. Gone are those days when drivers toy with peoples investments. Also with trucking, you determine when/where your truck loads and delivers too. The driver gets paid per trip

Why not start a monthly contribution with your colleagues then you collect first? That way you would not be paying interest and not under too much pressure. Also have you done your feasibility studies to know your break even point? Have you also studied the cons of the business?

OP, I know your intentions are good. However, I believe it is high time we start teaching our students and graduates how to be independent. How to create business so that they can survive not just carrying brown envelopes about. I understand that not everyone is cut out for business, but this is what we ought to be teaching our young ones during secondary school, university and service year. Believe me when they pass out, they would already know where to fix themselves. They would not waste a year or two of their lives looking for under-paying jobs.
Car Talk › Re: How To Conserve Fuel In Your Car During This Fuel Scarcity by afroxyz: 10:21am On Apr 10, 2016
Cyojunior:
Is It Because It Is Buhari? I marvel at the way and manner
we think in this country, worst of it the way they think in the
north. It is just a few months ago that we all continually
lambasted president Jonathan's cluelessness, people
referred to him as the "drunken master of Otuoke", and
nobody harassed me, and now because they fear the power
of the media that brought them to power they want to
castrate the social media, with Buhari firing the first shot in
an interview with Sahara reporters' Adeola in New York,
why, Is it because it is Buhari? We demonstrated against
pump price increment for petrol, government of president
Buhari wants us to swallow the same pill we rejected a few
months ago, yet some of my northern compatriots see
nothing wrong with that, Is it because it is Buhari? When
three sons of Sheik Zakzaky were murdered during the
Jonathan administration, El-Rufa'i called it genocide by the
jonathanian army, now under Buhari more than 200 are
killed, their mosque and houses destroyed under Elrufai's
nose as Governor of the same state, he has not called it
genocide by the Buharian army, Is it because it is Buhari?
Under the Jonathan administration subsidy payments were
termed as fraud, and there were hues and cries to crucify
oil marketers, Buhari even called it a fraud himself, we also
thought so, six months later the same Buhari is paying for
subsidy yet nobody is calling it a fraud, why, Is it because it
is Buhari? We criticized Jonathan for keeping a large fleet in
the presidential fleet and wasting monies on maintenance,
only recently President Buhari's spokesman admitted 2
billion Naira was spent on their maintenance, when other
Presidents are even doing away with their jets, yet we sit
down and watch helplessly, Is it because it Buhari? Fuel
scarcity is biting harder, value of the Naira is going rock
bottom, inflation is now on auto pilot, while profits are
dropping, purchasing powers are becoming weaker, yet we
are asked not to query them, Is it because it is Buhari? If we
criticized Jonathan for cluelessness, we will also criticize
Buhari for helplessness. While tribal and regional jingoists
see nothing because it is Buhari, what I see first is Nigeria
and not whether Jonathan is a southerner or Buhari is a
Northerner. We Cannot continue to be trapped in the closet
of tribalism, regionalism and religious bigotry yet expect
our country to remain one and grow. Yes! we might be of
different orientation and background but what is good is
good anywhere any time and what is bad is bad. I cannot be
suffering and keep smiling because "my brother" is the
President.
Plz permit me to use your write up and constructed a poem. Abeg
