Oga close your mouth, TWICE I went to the bank to collect my Dolls early this year. TWICE they told me they had no dolls to give and offered to pay in naira.
Infact when I logged into Internet banking my Dollars where converted to naira equivalent on screen.
Last I went there a month later, I clear 90% of what is in my dorm account.
So close your poverty-stricken mouth, I've been saving in dollars since my 100L days like many people that are financially futuristic.
Abeg leave the mumu. Probably he does not even know the colour of the dollar

God or prayers doesn't change a country, people change things.
With the amount of churches and prayers in Nigeria, Nigeria would have been greater and more advanced than USA.

Just sit in your house and continue waiting on your imaginary God to come down from heaven and change Nigeria
No mind them. Is it prayers that out men on the moon? Is it prayer that made Japan a technological giant? Is it prayer that led to breakthroughs in science and technology? prayer no, prayer ko
Christianity Etc › Re: From Atheism To Jesus: My Testimony by afroxyz: 4:22pm On Aug 17, 2016

TheSixthSense, I praise God for your life. I've also been in such a situation. I stem from an islamic background and later professed Christ (after someone preached to me) even though I didnt even know what I was into. I sought to know the reality of the scriptures. Nigerian churches were not helping matters. During my service year, I had to stop going to church because the preaching and testimonies and even seats were clear show off, no single regard for the poor and needy. They had few churches around and most were the same. I remember my older brother who had just got converted telling me to just seek God and keep an open mind. I had told him earlier that i'm okay and I live a good life, I didnt need anybody to tell me what to do.
I didnt want to be affliated with religion or even atheism. I just wanted to be that free intelligent and self-reliant human. My parents also encouraged freedom of religion so that made it easy.

I "enjoyed" my life to the fullest. What we call enjoyment is actually killing us. I lost 2 of my friends to alcohol. One drowned while drunk, the other died while driving him to the hospital. I remember we had an accident while coming back from a club in lagos, the car summersaulted from overspeeding, no one was injured, we all got down laughing at our drunk friends who drove.

Recently one of my very close friends called me to tell me that she does not have a womb anymore. Do I need to talk about my battle with glaucoma. Most of the friends that I had are either addicts of alcohol, marijuana e.t.c. So I smile when atheists are telling me to enjoy my life. I actually live a better life right now than the sick, unrestrained and devil controlled life I've lived as a young man. I've noticed that the devil is in control of most of the lives of those people who think they are directing themselves.

My being sober still did not lead me to Christ, an ex-cultist made me see the world for what it really is. A man who was active in a spiritual realm controlled by demons started to tell me the inner workings of such government. I started to think to myself "are these things real?"...

Bros, lemme just stop here. I've seen things in this life. I'm more than convinced that Jesus is Lord. Maybe I should just open a thread on why I am a Christian.
So proof that God exists lies in the consequences you faced for a life of irresponsibility. Thanks. Next please

Different strokes for different folks. Since he dies not want to confront his MIL (which he shouldn't do), he should either move to another part of the town where before anybody comes, they would first call, or move out of the house totally and leave the house for his wife and MIL. If he does not checkmate it now, they would be running his marriage and family for him. Better he starts now especially when there are no kids

Why do we like to deceive ourselves? Is it not God that created sex? Why do we then treat it like a taboo? Yet this is the major cause of infidelity and break ups in homes. If churches know what they are doing, they should start teaching sex education to their followers not being hypocritical. Too much of everything is bad, including too much holy holy

I just hope you are sincere with your questions. I want you to know that God is not passionate about sending anybody to hell fire. That is why he has kept you alive to hear the gospel and make your ways right with Him. Secondly, God did not create the various religions. It is the handwork of Satan to make people to have a form of religion without righteousness from Christ and yet end up in hell fire. The only way to get to God and heaven is true repentance from every sin and faith in Christ's finished work at Calvary. So no more questions. Believe, get saved and escape the damnation of hell. God bless you.
How are you not sure that Christianity is not a creation of the devil? That's my problem with you xtians. You guys believe you have an exclusive right to God. How can God create 7 billion people in his image and each person is different from one another, even twins, now subscribe to a singular mode of worship?
A religion that killed people, supported slavery and racism is now the chosen religion of God? Did Jesus himself even create religion? He came to abolish religion. Study your bible. When he died the veil in the holy of holies ripped from top to bottom. Signifying that we can approach God directly and not through priests, codes or laws. That's spirituality not religion.
When would you xtians understand that each religion is just man's way of trying to communicate with the supernatural? God is like the sun, depending on where you are the sun would have different dimensions. For some, the sun is rising, for others it is midnight, yet for some it is setting, but it is still the same sun. Stop all these 'only way' paradigms you people profess

You guys publishing all this news are foools i swear. How does this show that he is a cult? And it is just used in a movie scene if you check very well the comments on the picture on his page. I remeber during my NYSC, I collected a toy gun from a photographer just to pose with it for a picture, does that make me a cult? A guy was just killed and the first thing that foools are saying is that he is a cult. There is no evidence that he is a cult and i have heard times when cult guys kill innocent people because of any reason. It could be beef, hate or anything.
Just because the guy is dead now and cant speak for himself doesn't mean you people should talk his dead body down.

Rest in Peace young man & may God find you worthy to be in his presence.
Oh boy try speak correct English na. Which one be 'he is a cult?'

ATHEISM IS A " RELIGION" FOR THE WEAK MINDED WHO ARE SCARED OF BEING ACCOUNTABLE TO A SUPREME BEING.
Sorry. The reverse is the case. Religion is for the weak minded who rather than investigate the occurrence of phenomena, chose to attribute it to a supernatural force thereby absolving themselves of responsibility.

You were too hasty to make claim of atheism that you didn't see that part where she started that she never had a problem with her husbands believe not until he started rubbing it off her.

The influence it's having on her kids.

Religious tolerance which you advocate does not include taunting others sharing their believe as seen in the case where they were praying for a sick person.

We all have what we believe in. We must respect each other and keep the boundaries.

Am happy you ve sown seed of doubt in the mind of your kids. It's not my business, but since you made it part of this discussion, I wont hesitate to to say you may have done that too early.

Religion whether true or not helps to checkmate a lot of excesses.

Self conscience is most times not enough
Plz tell me which excesses religion has helped checkmate. Religion is what the colonialists used to fuel slave trade. Religion is what they used to justify the subjugation if blacks by telling us we are descendants of ham. Religion is the cause of terrorism and fanaticism. Religion was the reason Europe was in the dark ages before the enlightenment period rolled in. How come the more religious a country is, the poorer it is? How come countries like Japan that have a high prevalence of atheism is far developed and has less crime rates than the religious countries.

Madam, this is exactly the problems we athiest have with religion. You have a loving husband whom you have loved and admired all this while and who has also loved you uncoditionally despite your religiousity. Now you are just beginning to feel uncomfortable about his athiesm. Why? Because of what others (religious folks ) are insinuating? Why is so hard to tolerate people who do not share your religious beliefs? Would you have prefered to be married to the so-called born again religous pretenders who outwardly profess regiousity but whose hearts are dark pits, than to a non-petensious reality-oriented man whose heart and mind is transparent to you at all times?

Have you reckoned that the problem might be with you and the increase in your religious zeal? Are you surprised that your pastor does not like him? How do u expect a pastor to like someone whom he cannot manipulate and sap? You are exhibiting the typical symptoms. Soon they will start seeing visions and prophesies about how your husband is evil and is going to do this or that to you and your children.
There is nothing in this world that divides people more than religion. Religion can destory your home if you allow it to do so.Your home should be your church. The love of your husband and children should be your sanctuary.
I guarantee that You cannot find in a church, what you cannot find in your home-namely love, sincerity, respect and peace.

I am an athiest who is married to a born again wife. I made my position know from the start and we have lived happily. I go to church with her from time to time. But I have grown waery of the "name it and claim it" theology of the pentecostal preachers,so I do not go anymore. I put my foot down on no night vigils, retreats, house fellowships, and midweek service. Otherwise, I try not to interfere. I find that is her church members who always want to make our religious difference an issue. I always put them in their right place.
As for my children, I have already succeeded in planting seeds of doubts in thier young minds, which for me ,is sufficient enough to help them develope the healthy skeptism necessary to intelligently discern life and reality, hopefully, from both a philosophycal and scientific perspectives rather than from religious perspective.

I do not see any problems in you family except the one that your religious peers are pressuring you to create.
Take note that the increase in your religious zeal is and will be directly proportional to the level of tension, resentment and ultimately, distrust in your household. I hope you make wise decisions.
No mind am. I just don't understand why people can't accept other people's view towards religion. If the OP was born in Saudi Arabia or Qatar, wouldn't she have been a Muslim? If she was born in India wouldn't she be a Hindu? She has a loving husband, yet she dey murmur. Na wa

What's tha business?
