ebuka1997: See humans are social creatures, that’s why I said it depends on trends during and after the elections. Trump is more likely to open the economy than Biden especially as treatments start coming out. He has pushed for schools to open up, schools are opening up now. People even want to start coming out, obviously tech would still last but these tech companies are way overvalued. People are making it seem like this is a permanent change in the way we would start But it is still likely that in some months we could go back to normal Most states are opening up now and people are returning back to work. Of course, FAANG would still survive but companies like zoom may not reach all time highs again. Yes we are social beings, but I'm are talking how we would conduct business going forward? Definetely technology would be a forefunner in deciding how we work, produce things and dispense services. This is what fuels the economy. Provided we continue depending on technology to make ends meet, I don't think tech stocks are overvalued (long term). Not even with the profit they are making. Besides technology is already changing our social lives. Look at Tiktok, Instagram, Snapchat and Reel. |

He has never called out the police for their high-handedness and selective justice towards blacks. The same way folks over here criticize Mallam Nasir El-Rufai for not bringing to book the instigators of violence and death in Southern Kaduna. The same reason why some lawyers threatened to boycott the NBA conference because El-Rufai was invited and they felt he was supporting the anarchists in Southern Kaduna. The last time I checked, El-Rufai's office isn't in Southern Kaduna. But he was held responsible for recurrent events in his state. The same should apply to Trump...all these police killings have been happening under his watch and no criticism or calling to order of the police yet. What is good for the goose is also good for the gander. Didn't police kill blacks during Obama's administration? What exactly did he do? |

ebuka1997: My thoughts are that this is a stock market rotation, the tech sector rallied as a result of shutdowns and work from home trends but after the Labor Day weekend next week the elections would start influencing the market more. Investors would bet on cyclical stocks. For example, winter is coming up. Some companies would be in more in demand And as demand for their services increases, it could affect their stock price. These doesn’t mean other stocks won’t rise too oh. I just think the market would be up and down, up and down. I’m looking at toro a snow and ice removal company which generally rises during the winter and a quick glance at their earnings shows they beat earnings by 45% Winter resorts would have been a good option but hospitality is still down for now Tech is here to stay bros. The coronavirus has altered the way we do things for life. Companies are already moving away from states such as New York and California and relocating to states that are low in population. By winter, after all the noise of cyclical stocks, people would come back to tech. |

olumide4christ: Don't mind those Nigerians or Africans supporting Trump and accusing protesters of being sponsored by Democrats. You imagine what has played out from George Floyd to the 2 recent cases of blacks killed or shot at even when they didn't have a gun. Whereas this man made 40 gunshots but yet he was not shot at to be killed...is that not hypocrisy of the highest order on the part of the police?
I say it...for those Nigerians supporting Trump, I hope they don't have relatives living in the US or intend to relocate to the US, because if he wins in November, I foresee a genocide of some sorts on black people, whether Black Americans or Africans, both from police and white supremacists. A husband willing to make the swallow and get someone to help?
The husband who knows the way the rotation works should tell his men group to shift it (because his wife would not cook)?
People are throwing protection and love around; what about love, submission, nurturing!?
If clearing the sink is the problem, she cannot cook, serve and tell husbandman he will clear the sink himself since they are his people in jest?

Donbrig: Nigerians are the problem Sir, our politicians are only helping us to further ruin our future, because our leaders are products of our decayed society. The main thing that changed in Nigeria is the way we raise our children, both in school and at home. The children we didn't train properly 15, 20, or 30yrs ago are now a big threat and burden to our society. The way a country trains their kids or young ones always have a primary role to play in the society at large, that is why I have sworn never to train my kids in Nigeria, the kind of society we have in Nigeria today is the most unfit to raise up normal and responsible children. Oga the children abroad are not better trained. Look at Britain alone. You have kids calling police on their parents, telling them to fu*k off. |

Grupo: You people keep missing an important factor. Nigeria is not a nation. It's not about the size but national identity. Nigeria has no national identity.
The Chinese you mentioned are homogeneous people with the same language. China can be described as a nation.
US too is a perfect description of a nation.
Nigeria is a union of various nations. The type of dictatorship or system you talk about can never work in a multi national country like Nigeria. Using your analogy, I don't think the US falls into a category of nation. The protests taking place buttress this asssertion. Forget the language crap. We are just lawless people that's all. What has different languages in a nation got to do with elderly people jump the queuebecause those on the line are younger than them? Or what does having diffrent languages have to do with someone driving one-way? We are just lawless. |
Sports › Re: Barcelona REFUSE To Hold Meeting With Lionel Messi Unless For A New Contract by afroxyz: 4:41pm On Aug 30, 2020 |
OkikiOluwa1: My opinion: Messi can just quietly see out his one year and get a good send forth next season. The case he's dragging is dicey. If Barca comes out to explain to the world what they v been offering him in the past, everyone ll see him as n ungrateful son. Messi's playing the silence game to blackmail Barca. That's how he always do to make people believe he's a saint. Barcelona is saving Messi's image by not coming out publicly to reveal the full details of Messi's contract. The day they talk, Messi ll be hated by every naive Barca fans who thinks Messi is being witch hunted. Does he think they can't win cups again?
The logical explanation. 1. Messi should respect the club n see out his contract. He's seen as a gentle lamb. Dies he think Barca can't win cups anymore? Where's his lotalty & helping out Barca in crisis
2. No matter what's the crime of Bartomeau, he has ran Barca with his best abilities. He even. Offered Messi at his age huge contract that warranted that huge buyout clause. Messi enjoyed the wages when he's paid. He should not be an ungrateful son. Nobody is hating him at Barcelona so why start something that ll cause hate to him from fans very soon. He's now acting disloyal for not returning to training.
3. If it's CR7 that acted this way, his criticism ll v topped all major newspapers worldwide. Most people ll say he's proud, he's bad, he's a cheat etc. Now it's Messi that acting immature here and like an over pampered boy.
https://www.nairaland.com/6086040/lionel-messi-refuses-return-barcelona/2#93379435 Nothing like being ungrateful here. The guy has helped the club and the club has helped him. He deserves to go. He was not born wearing a Barcelona jersey |
