PROUDIGBO:
I remember when some of my naive kinsfolk were popping champagne during the test-run of operations at the Onitsha river port. Some dickheads were even going as far as saying that the test-run was proof-positive that Buhari is ‘fair, just and loves Igbos’!

Does anyone think that, in line with greedily coveting Nigerias’ resources to first develop the north-west (Daura in particular), that if this river port was in their region, that it wouldn’t have been up and running by now!?

After suspension of works on the 2nd Niger bridge on being sworn in to office in 2015, they finally recommenced works few months to the 2019 elections so they could have something to milk for PR and point to that Buhari/APC is doing in the south-east.....and boy, have they milked it! shocked
Igbo business and political elite cocooned in their mansions in Abuja and Lagos are to blame, Had the USA not insisted that the returned Abacha funds be tied to verifiable infrastructural projects in all 6 geo-political zones, the 2nd niger bridge will not have reached this stage of construction. We have heard how CBN is channeling and shuffling huge billions to Lagos state for their regional rail transit project but how much did CBN advance to Anambra for the State airport at umuleri.......where are our politicians when these monies are being shared? Support IPOB and play hardball politics! they will never do so instead they go sucking up to the fulani cabal who ultimately make a mess of them!

yes we know there is political angle to it.. But the thugz are inspired by the ethos of the ipob doctrines..

Anambra state is not a place known for political thuggery.. You can only find such in Kano, Lagos, oyo, portharcourt,.. Not anambra.. That place its way peaceful.. Until that albino from afarakwu gave that order... Lol
I do not know how old you are but as a primary school pupil in 1983, I saw what the NPN" ikemba front" and the NPP "Jim Vanguard" committed in the 1983 elections, let me assure you that what you are seeing today is child's play in terms of destruction of lives and property.............then like now, it was a Fulani led government in Abuja that instigated violence in order to rig the national and state elections..................most of these youngsters here do not know what Fulanis are capable of........,..Obiano and soludo had better play grand politics the way the southwest plays or risk losing the election of nov 6th by monumental rigging.

I don't know why the leaders of this country find ot difficult to share the resources of the country in a more equitable way.

A government will come and projects will be sited in the north and SW all time.

When another government comes they will site more in the two regions, and tell the East to be patient as their is no money for projects in their region.

Today the SE as small as it is, has the worse Federal roads in the country.

No one can mention one large federal investment in the region that employees people, other than army and police barracks.

No airports, rail system, industries, etc,

How do they leaders think that the youths of the region will continue to be patient?

It is not too late to do the right thing.
My brother you said it all but do not underestimate the wickedness inherent in the heart of a typical Nigerian, you make noise about a second niger bridge that is yet to be completed but you go ahead to marginalize them in everything else........even in the small import and commercial sector we are managing, government thru deliberate policies have messed it up! the unannounced policy to constrain and limit ndigbo will not work,

I still wonder who these soldiers are supposed to be fighting for, they are also the youth and we are in the same shoe together in this country. So are they killing the youth for these old men to enslave them forever? Northern youth are also tired of the situation in this country but for their religion radicalism and ethnic sentiment that they will not speak up and join hands with their southern counterparts.
it is only in Igboland that you can aggregate the critical mass of young men and women who are ready to take on and slay the beast that the Nigerian government has become, no other collection of youth in Nigeria can do what they are doing in ESN, not the so-called unknown gunmen.

Charge and bail lawyer, sit this one out and let real men handle things.

You want him released when it’s already glaring he has lost control of IPOB. What is his bargaining chip? He has passed message to stop all agitation but has anyone listened? He’s created a monster that will swallow him and all you idiots if care is not taken.

You want him to be released first, someone who hasn’t been able to even stop the sit at home order. Ode.

From the comfort of your sitting position on your wife's laps, you are making judgement calls on a distinguished and erudite lawyer, who lost his mother to this struggle, who while driving himself from Abuja to a military barracks in Niger state in search of hundreds missing Obigbo residents was almost killed by bandits and kidnappers. They have started the political abracadabra again. They will soon rig elections and foist an unpopular candidate on the people again.

They will stay in their zone and destabilize another zone. They will still be the ones to order soldiers to go commit mass murder and atrocities.
Now you know the genesis of the unknown gunmen saga in Anambra state..........they are softening resistance for the final coup de grace on November 6th.....when INEC will announce Andy Uba as the Governor-elect.Unfortunately, Obiano is busy appeasing the Fulani cabal instead of hooking up with his own people.................APGA Best of luck on November 6th......you will need it......Meanwhile, IPOB/ESN application forms will be in high demand after Nov. 6th abracadabra !

post=106669502:
Abuja, Lagos, Kano and Port Harcourt were built by FG

The second longest runway in Nigeria was built by Anambra state government, remember Anambra Airport runway have 2 laser 06 and 24 of 1Km at each end making 5.7km that plane can land at both end of the runway, which doesn't exist in any airport in the country

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPHIqUsWtrY
It is not "laser" at the 2 ends of the runway, I believe it is RESA (Runway End Safety Area)........its an additional 1 km each on both ends of the normal runway. from what I learnt, the RESA is paved with a rather soft and easily collapsible pavement that will wedge any plane that overshoots the runway. Good work and kudos to you....you are a true champion of Anambra state.

We are getting there. Who on earth compares evil to evil with the aim of rationalizing it.

I think I have cracked the code to our conundrum as a nation: we dont deserve the geographical space or time we exist in, and for all the gift of intellect God has bestowed on man we chose to be irresponsible. Thus, a poetic antithesis to that irresponsibility is that we are the cause of our own destruction. Unfortunately the few rational ones in the country will go also as an avoidable collateral because they chose to keep mum and watch the ignorant ones steer their affairs
Nobody is comparing anything oga, what we are saying and the gov. is saying is that evil should be called out whenever and wherever it raises its head.......if you and other influential Nigerians had called out the evil of a government extrajudicially killing her own unarmed citizens just because they are agitating for a separate nation...that evil will not have morphed into the phenomenon of unknown gunmen. Today southern Kaduna and middle belt people are being slaughtered ..when they turn to brutal guerrilla tactics, you will come out to say evil should not be compared to evil............the blackman should learn to stand for truth at all times.

There's new aspects of the job completed at both sites with every subsequent visit, but it's clear the contrators at the conference centre are quicker and pay more attention to detail in delivery than their counterparts at the int'l airport. Looking at the job done on landscaping at the conference centre, one can see they're doing a exquisite job....meanwhile, the landscaping at the airport is yet to start, as i'm still seeing bare earth all over the airside of the airport. Hopefully, next visit, we'll see the avio-bridges installed as well as the arrival of the expected three world-class fire-trucks.....not forgetting appreciable progress on landscaping!

I noticed inside the terminal building still looks a bit dark. Hopefully, it's because they're not using full lighting to save on energy consumption since they're yet to officially open to fee-paying passengers. Don't know if it's still possible to paint the ceiling white...that would help brighten things up even further. There's too much open space upstairs....hopefully, they're still compartmentalising according to plan. We're yet to see where the duty-free shops will be.....also would be nice to see what the toilets look like.

The gov't should ensure the grounds at the airport and conference centre are lighted up at night, and that there's round-the-clock irregular security patrols.....there's too much expensive equipment out in the open, especially at the airport.
The general ambience of the airport is still a bit sombre in my opinion but the most relevant thing is safety and security of operations at the airport, that has been effectively taken care of and we are good to go................all aesthetics and comfort issues can be taken care of later by soludo or whoever wins.

No they are not from common ancestor. Igbo likely migrated from Kongo or Cameroon. Their attire (leaves and grasses) oftentimes not distinguishable from tribes in Central Africa.

The reason we share some language together is that igbo are gatherer, they quickly gather other tribe culture and language and adapt to it fast

Yoruba language is a contagious language, very popular in all of Southern Nigeria, the igala and itsekiri introduced Yoruba language to Ibos. Igala through enugu and Anambra then spread to other Ibo clans, the Itsekiri also.

We share nothing in common except civilising you ancestors
abeg go hug your fulani cousins........una be the same, leave the children of light alone.
