nonsense and delusions

1. Are you saying that your entire country is so unstable that if you dont garrison every province insurrections will start?

2. Boko Haram hide amongst civilians? Do APC's, tanks, artillery, MRAPs look civilian to you? You are no longer fighting a COIN war - you are now fighting LICW

3. There are no current or credible estimates of Boko Haram numbers

4. Yes they do have to enter Nigeria for their own good - but the difference is that they have tasted only victory whereas you have mainly tasted defeat

5. We would patrol our border, let Zimbabweans deal with Zimbabwean problems

6. Which military officers agreed this? You?

7. Again, NATO did not fail in Afghanistan. They completed their COIN program, they built a nation and an indigenous Army who now has to hold it. The Taliban have never won a battle and hold only 4 out of 300 districts.

Commanded by Nigeria. Then two seconds later you say Chad officers are taking orders from the French.

So what exactly will history records show? That Nigeria had absolutely nothing to do with commanding Chad's soldiers
Dullard, Chad never goes to war without France pushing the control buttons. Permanent French military advisers live inside Chad, they give orders to Chad to go to war, that is brass command. When the rag tag Chadian puppets of France enter Nigerian soil they are under Nigerian leadership , that is field command.

Brazil commands FIB troops to go war in Congo, brass HQ command, but Tanzania commands South Africa on the field of combat, field command.... get it?

1. So what? Is a land mass the size of Britain too big for the Nigerian Army? All attacks are focused on villages which are known and can be secured.

2. Then dont u dare ever use that 130 000 number here. Even if only 60 000 are fighting troops. You outnumber Boko Haram by two to one.

3. Chad does NOT need to enter Nigeria. The mighty Nigerian army can flush Boko Haram out in the direction of the shared border, with Chad and Cameroon finishing them off on the borderline. If Nigeria was doing its job properly, not a single Chad toe-nail would have enteted Nigeria.
Foool grin grin

You move half of Nigerian army into only 3 states and expose the remaining 34 states and Abuja to infiltration by insurgents. Garrison is a standard worldwide recognized militray strategy, you cover all your land.

Boko Haram has no uniform, they wear civilian clothes 99%. You can outnumber them but you cannot identify most of them the way they can identify Nigerian army uniforms, you don't know what COIN war means. LOL.

Anyway its 30,000 men on both sides so we don't outnumber them in NE war zone.

Chad and Cameroon have to enter Nigeria for their own good or else they will be in danger once Bokos cross border, see what Bokos did to Cameroonian civilians today, ran from Nigerian town Gamborou, entered Cameroonian town Fotokol and began slicing the throats of innocent women and children with knives.

If Chad and Cameroon refuses to fight inside Nigeria, they will have Bokos spreading out like water floods inside their countries and blood will flow there! The Chadians you are praising are not helping Nigeria, they are helping themselves from becoming the new victims.

If they want to chase away 20,000 killers from Zimbabwe and you were informed to cross into Zimbabwean border and block them from entering South Africa in anger, will you say no.....let the 20,000 killers enter inside South Africa first and spread around, then we will be looking for them to fight them?

Whichever way you guys think and write rubbish on this forum, all intelligent military officers around the world have agreed that the best way to crush 30,000 insurgents is to move against them from all borders and squeeze them into the centre.

These 3 African countries have used the best military strategy in the world, and the future generation of West and Central Africans will thank them for it.

Who cares about the senseless opinion of Southies of Nairaland? We talking about winning a war for Africa against terrorism that even NATO super powers failed to defeat in Afghanistan after 13 years of hi-tech firepower war by USA and UK against Taliban

Infiltration not captured, and when you have Boko in one town, you liberate it, they run into another town, you liberate that, they run to the next town...that's how you have a long list of liberated towns and eventually Boko Haram move across border into Chad or Cameroon.

Uganda is to deploy two battalions in Nigeria to join in the fight against Boko Haram militia. This move is part of the continental effort to tackle the conflict with the insurgents.

They cannot and will not answer the fundamental question.....with their "130 000 strong" army, why does one single Chad boot need to enter Nigeria? grin The same results could have been achieved with each respective country pushing Boko Haram to a central point from their own side of the border, then finishing them off.

The state of Nigeria's true fighting power has been exposed. They needed mommy Chad to come help wipe their ass*s. Then hide behind the " joint multinational blah blah blah" excuse.
1. The North East war zone is bigger than the whole country of Great Britain.

2. Not all 130,000 men in the army are combatants, and not all are men, many are female.

3. If Chad and Cameroon don't join the fight from their borders into Nigerian border towns, most Boko Haram fighters will escape into Chad and Cameroon, then the war will never end, Chad and Cameroon will be the new victims. Proof : Yesterday Bokos fled Nigerian town ofGamboru into Cameeroonian town of Fotokol as new safe haven, Cameroonian army attacked them from there or else the Bokos will build a new camp, rearm, recruit, and start all over again to fight.

As at yesterday, Boko Haram has started to slice civilan throats and burn mosques inside Cameroon, so if they wish ,
Chad and Cameroon can sit down at home and watch Nigeria fighting alone, when we finish pushing Boko Haram escapees into theirs countries, it will become their problem. We didn't beg anybody to come join us in the fight.

Chad showing these fools how its done.

Over 200’ Boko Haram militants killed in offensive

Gamboru - Chad said on Wednesday it inflicted heavy losses on Nigeria's Boko Haram, killing "over 200" Islamist militants in a border town that it wrested from the rebels in a ground offensive.Nine Chadian soldiers were also killed and 21 injured on Tuesday in Gamboru as regional forces took the fight against the insurgents on to Nigerian soil for the first time, the Chadian army said.

"This toll is provisional," the Chadian military said in a statement, adding that troops were still combing the town on Nigeria's border with Cameroon for lingering rebel elements.Around 2 000 Chadian troops backed by armoured vehicles poured across the border into Gamboru on Tuesday after the African Union last week backed a regional force to take on the extremists.

The sound of automatic gunfire could heard Wednesday in the town, which has been abandoned by residents after a barrage of air strikes by Chad in the run-up to its offensive, an AFP journalist reported. While the operation in Gamboru continued, the town of Fotokol on the other side of the border, in Cameroon, came under fresh attack from the jihadists.

"The guys [Boko Haram] entered this morning. The fighting between them and our soldiers is very intense," a Cameroonian security source in Fotokol told AFP by telephone. The Cameroonian troops had managed to repel the attack by mid-morning, after Chadian soldiers crossed back from Nigeria to help defend the town.
2,000 Chadian soldiers killed 200 Bokos in Gamboru.

1,000 Nigerian soldiers killed 500 Bokos in Konduga.

1 Nigerian soldier = 5 Chadian soldiers in combat kill ratio

.....and France's powerful Rafale jet fighters are supporting Chadian army with airborne recce up to the border line....proves Chad CANNOT fight war without European help coming from 5,000 km away, Chad simply enjoys the praise of fools grin grin

I repeat, rag tag army, according to sources posted by South Africans here, Chad needed a whole army of 2,000 soldiers to liberate an empty deserted Gamborou town ! Chad...and Cameroon to the rescue.

The cowards of the Nigerian army have much to be grateful for.

http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/02/04/cameroon-troops-clash-with-fleeing-boko-haram-fighters/

Cameroon soldiers clashed with Boko Haram fighters in the border town of Fotokol on Wednesday as the Islamists fled an offensive by Chad’s army, security sources said.

The Islamists “entered this morning,” a Cameroonian security source said, after Chadian troops recaptured the Nigerian town of Gamboru just across the border. “Fighting between them and our soldiers is really intense.”

In a deserted Gamboru, Chadian forces carried out clean-up operations after entering the town on Tuesday and retaking it from Boko Haram, which seized control months ago.

“When the Chadians entered Gamboru, the Boko Haram members who were in the town and some villages fled to meet up this morning in Fotokol,” the security source said.

While a bridge separates Fotokol from Gamboru, it is possible to also cross over from surrounding villages.

Chadian jet fighters had also bombed Gamboru before its troops entered.

The regional military efforts have highlighted the failure of Nigeria’s army to stop the six-year Boko Haram insurgency. lipsrsealed

Nigeria’s military said on Tuesday the country’s sovereignty was not compromised despite the presence of Chadian ground troops and claimed to be “driving the present onslaught”.

The offensive comes at a crucial moment, with Nigeria’s presidential and parliamentary elections set for February 14.
Nonsense report with no source web link.

Anyway, Fotokol town is Cameroonian town, so how is Cameroon rescuing Nigeria? By fighting their own Boko Haram inside their own town and homeland? You are smoking candles like cigarettes, victim of South African load shedding grin

During the battle all Iranian tanks were destroyed, while the Iraqis suffered no losses. Iraqi T-72 had great success in the battle for Basra and the last stages of the war. 105mm M68 tank guns and TOW missiles proved ineffective against the frontal armor of Iraqi T-72s.[54][55] 60 T-72 tanks were lost during the eight years of war.[56][57] According to Iranians and Iraqis, the T-72 was the most feared tank of the Iran–Iraq War.

3. But no no no let us not believe all those different articles and eyewitness claims. Let the world rather believe Agaugust here on this forum, because this ONE article doesnt have a picture of an attack helicopter. Hence making all other articles and eyewitness claims false.
