Remember Nigeria needs SA than we do need NA.

We don't buy arms from Nigeria grin grin grin grin cool cool cool

You were the bloke who claimed Nigeria had an advanced defence industry than SA?
Quote where I said that.

SA just lost the chance to encourage Nigeria to buy arms from you since always ignore you and buy from Asia or Europe. South Africa is a bad businessman, Nigeria is spending billions of dollars on weapons now and you spoiled your own chances by driving away a rich customer... fools !

Nigeria does NOT need South Africa, 90% of our arms are purchased from Russia - China axis in the last 10 years.

What have we ever bought from you? MRAPS only and in very few numbers.

Tell me what weapon South Africa produces that we cannot get from Russia, India, Israel, China ? Nothing !!!!

We will swallow up your MTN and gift it free to Globacom, all you will ever do is to cry and mourn your loss

Its pretty obvious those are civilian casualties.
Yes, civilians using all the APCs, AK-47, 23mm four barrel AAA cannon, and 14.5mm double barrel HMGs captured and displayed by Nigerian military = Boko Haram

The most discipline army in Africa?

Where it is well known that large numbers of men support BH?

Where human rights abuses are well catalogued

Where men mutiny?

Desert?

Refuse to return to the front?

Where corruption in your military is rife?

In the huge military operation in the north east, where Boko Haram operates, which has been in place since a state of emergency was imposed in 2013, there are complaints by army members. These soldiers have often claimed that their budgeted allowance for dangerous field duties are shaved off by commanders, leaving them with less than 50% in some cases.

After protests by some aggrieved soldiers in Maiduguri, the army spokesman attributed their complaints to the absence of a commander who was away on training. The soldiers were dismissed as mutinous, and handed to a military court. Yet, the reality is that troops endure horrific conditions – they often lack tents or sleeping bags, many must scavenge for firewood to cook and they live a destitute life – hardly the motivation or replenishment required to fight a violent and constant aggressor.

http://www.theguardian.com/global-development/poverty-matters/2014/jul/11/boko-haram-nigeria-violence-corruption-security

Your military is a indiciplined-rabble!
Old irrelevant story, forgone conclusion.

All those soldiers have been tried and sentenced to death by court martial.

60 men out of a 150,000 man army = 0.04% tiny insignificant numbers.

Nigerian army does NOT tolerate cowardice like were army union members chose which war they want or don't want to fight.....50,000 South African soldiers, a whole complete army refused to go fight Selaka rebels and save fellow Africans from the ravages of war in C.A.R allowing innocent civilians to perish.

Then your army still gave them medals of national honour for an offence that Nigerian army gives death sentence !

SANDF = BUSHMEN-ZULU HUNTERS grin grin

Better yet.

Show us where it says that dead BH fighters are included in those casualty reports from TWP

Also, I see you are proud of your army behaving like savages and mutilating bodies.
You show us where the story says Boko deaths are not included because they died peacefully at age 70 years.

International laws of war allows the use of bayonets, Nigerian army knows where to target with it, simple.

Just warn SANDF men to sleep 3 rounds with their wives before they fight Nigeria army because their last fvck in Soweto will be their final fun forever.

The officer is a Boko Haram sympathizer and saboteur now facing military court martial, he may get death sentence, shows Nigeria has the most disciplined army in Africa.

Yes, the curve goes up and that's because the dead includes thousands of Boko Haram fighters killed by Nigerian army and air force. Damboa NA-NAF killed over 1,500 Bokos, Konduga killed about 2,000 Bokos, Michika over 400 books....that's about 4,000 Boko Haram fighters we killed in 2 months.....yes the death curve went up in Nigeria for this reason.

That is the testimony of a vehemently anti-arms deal critic, obviously it is biased as hell

He is a filthy pacifist that says even having an army is unconstitutional and that we should disband the SANDF and only have border guards and a coast guard.

His opinion is worthless. And he will be exposed under cross-examination.

For example he says we have no pilots for the Gripen and Hawks - yet we currently have a total of 60

The other anti-arms deal activists withdrew form the commission because they know that they have no case. Especially after Navy and Airforce officers blew the "wrong equipment" argument out of the water
80% of SANDF jets, helicopters, ships, and submarines are NOT operational as at today, proved by your own country's insiders.

South Africa’s Arms Deal Toys Rotting

October 9, 2014

Weapons acquired during the 1999 arms deal are not being used and are becoming derelict, the Seriti Commission of Inquiry heard on Tuesday (October 7, 2014).

“With regards to the 30 Augusta helicopters purchased from Italy, I am informed that many of them are in storage and unused or rotting at Ysterplaat Air Force Base in Cape Town,” arms deal critic Terry Crawford-Browne told the inquiry’s hearings in Pretoria.

“Accordingly, I invite the commission’s members to inspect Ysterplaat, to see for themselves how many there are in their state of airworthiness.”

He said government acquired four frigates that were reportedly equipped with defective engines and an obsolete combat suite and armoury system.

“South Africa acquired three submarines that spend most of the time on the ‘hard’ at Simon’s Town and 50 BAE Hawk and BAE/Saab Gripen fighter aircraft for which the country had almost no pilots to fly them, mechanics to maintain them, or even the money to fuel them.

“The arms deal was a confidence trick played at huge socio-economic cost to the people of South Africa, which has seriously undermined our still-fragile constitutional democracy,” said Crawford-Browne.

The commission was appointed by President Jacob Zuma three years ago to investigate alleged corruption in the arms procurement deal in 1999.

For billions of rands government acquired, among other hardware, 26 Gripen fighter aircraft and 24 Hawk lead-in fighter trainer aircraft for the air force, and frigates and submarines for the navy.

Crawford-Browne said former deputy defence minister Nozizwe Madlala-Routledge was told by senior navy officials that the country had bought the wrong equipment.

“Ms Madlala-Routledge has by e-mail authorised me to reveal this,” he said.

Madlala-Routledge was deputy defence minister from 1999 to April 2004 and deputy health minister from April 2004 to August 2007.

Crawford-Browne said billions spent on these purchases could have been used to improve the lives of South Africans.

“While millions of South Africans struggle daily with the legacies of apartheid and poverty, these men childishly expounded about their pride in so-called toys for boys and other irrelevances,” he said in his affidavit to the inquiry.

“Astonishingly, a purported justification for the acquisition of the BAE Gripen warplanes included protection for the 2010 World Cup.”

The inquiry continues.

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/nigeria-boko-haram-torch-185-churches-captured-towns-borno-adamawa-1468763

A prominent Nigerian reverend has revealed Islamist terror group Boko Haram destroyed over 180 churches in the West African country following its capture of towns and villages in the north-eastern states of Borno and Adamawa.

Reverend Gideon Obasogie, the director of Catholic Social Communication of Maiduguri Diocese in Borno State, said the group's seizure of territory in both states has seen 185 churches torched and over 190,000 people displaced by their insurgency.

In his statement, Obasogie said Boko Haram's "ransacking and torching" of churches had forced priests to leave their homes for two months while displaced civilians were still unable to return to their towns and villages.
Old expired news, a summary of events that happened in the past 2 years gone by, old news, no longer relevant.

Africa's best army goes wild, Blitzkrieg on many towns

Boko Haram runs away before bulldozing Nigeria army arrives !

This is the beginning of the end of Boko Haram war.

Champions of Africa, NA & NAF show why they are the best...

World class Blitzkrieg :

"There was fighting in Mubi North LGA on Monday where residents said dozens of soldiers drove in trucks, armoured vehicles and on overloaded motorcycles into the town at high speed from the direction of Vintim, causing panic.

"I saw several soldiers passing at high speed but they later returned to Vintim and proceeded in the direction of Michika"

"Yes, there have been fierce battles between troops and Boko Haram, but from what we have seen, the troops have the upper hand. Some soldiers left Bimtim for Betso. Some left Birim and followed Baga route. Some reached Izgi town, thereby encircling the Boko Haram in their strongholds. The troops continued to push them", a resident said.

"A resident told BBC Hausa Service yesterday that some of the insurgents were spotted on motorbikes desperately searching for escape routes in Betso."

"Yola and Abuja — Soldiers are said to have taken control of towns in Adamawa State earlier seized by Boko Haram insurgents including Bazza, Gulak and Michika after heavy fighting with the insurgents over the weekend, our correspondents gathered yesterday.

Hundreds of soldiers accompanied by helicopters took over Bazza and Michika on Saturday with little resistance from the insurgents who were said to have fled before the arrival of the troops."

Yet again you lie to us

Nowhere does it say that all they planes were shot down by the NK army- you just made that up

First, we lost around 78 planes in over 12 000 sorties. We lost one plane for every 153 missions we flew!!! That is an astounding figure!!!
- not to mention that the UN lost over 1000 planes in the conflict. So we contributes over 20% of the ground kills for 0.7% of the "cost"

Second, Russian piloted Mig15s appeared in Korea from October 15th 1950 onwards.

Third, we accounted for 20% of UN ground kills- what percentage of aircraft did we send?

Fourth, out contribution is recognized by presidential citations

Fifth, we didn't ONLY fly ground attack - it says mainly, do you know the difference between mainly and only?

No one cares about your opinion. Our contribution and our skills are well known and well proven. Not to mention we showed ourselves to be more professional than the mighty USAF

Their own commanders said we were the best in their entire air-contingent at ground attack. That's right, the American Airforce, the best in the world, happily used us as an example of how to conduct such operations!!!!

Maybe you should show us just one instance of nigeria flying against an enemy with an Airforce or modern equipment - better yet, show us any one example of Nigerian pilots getting into air-to-air combat!!! Just one!!

Lol, you have your jets showt down by boko haram!!!

South African air force had ZERO air to air combat in Korean war, history declares SAAF totally missing in air to air combats.

SAAF lost 76% of their combat aircraft to North Korean army ground fire including Sabre jet fighters donated to you by America.

America saw that South African air force pilots were not good enough to fight North Korean pilots, so they reduced your SAAF to ground attack only, maybe add recce and transport.

Now stop asking for sources of information that is freely available on google....Fool grin

Heavy fighting between Nigerian troops and Boko Haram terrorists ensued yesterday in Adamawa State as soldiers backed from the air by Nigerian Airforce attack helicopters launched an attack to retake territories in the possession of Boko Haram.

In the ensuing battle that continued into the night, Vanguard gathered that about 400 Boko Haram terrorist had been killed while there were casualties on the part of the Nigerian soldiers.

Military sources in Adamawa state told Vanguard : “I can assure you that we are advancing successfully. We have dealt a heavy blow on the terrorists. They didn’t expect what they are seeing. Our armoured tanks are blasting and they are running for their lives. The airforce is providing air cover and hitting them also.

“I cannot give you a categorical answer regarding casualties but so far about 400 of the terrorists have been killed."

“From reports on the ongoing battle, we may have lost a few soldiers but it cannot be confirmed because usually, they may have been injured and are holed up somewhere for first aid treatment” the source said.

Contacted on the development, Director of Defence Information, Major General Chris Olukolade confirmed the fighting . According to him, “the army came in on Sallah day and since then fierce fighting has been on. But, as you can see the insurgents are moving away and the military are following them”.

“The insurgents who were in their thousands came through Uba and attacked the Nigeria troops. “The gallant Nigerians soldiers were attacked from the rear by the militants but the military men engaged them in fierce battle over five hours “.

Ok, you wanna talk stats, lets talk stats.

We lost 76% of the Mustangs we deployed... that is to be expected considering we were flying propellor driven arifcraft against enemy jet-aircraft

Once we were equipped with modern Jet aircraft (hello you sex.y sabre) our losses dropped down to 18% - because we had the right equipment for the job.

You say it was a failure?

http://www.saairforce.co.za/the-airforce/history/saaf/korea

Conclusion: We kicked allot of a.s.s in korea

Take your simpleton arguments elsewhere
Are you drinking Ogogoro or Paraga ?

Who told you South Africa was flying propeller Mustang against enemy jet aircraft? Where did you see that in your Korean war history?

Your SAAF that ran away with Mirage jets from Cuban MiG 23 jets in Angola ?

If South Africa every flies propeller combat aircraft against North Korean jets, 100% of your air force will be s.hot down in 5 minutes.

The war history says SAAF was flying ONLY ground attack on North Korean army especially interdicting enemy ground transport columns.

" 2 Squadron had a long and distinguished record of service in Korea flying F-51D Mustangs and later F-86F Sabres. Their role was mainly flying ground attack and interdiction missions."

76% of South African combat aircraft, Mustangs were s.hot down by North Korean ARMY, history says ARMY !

"On 11 March 1953 the squadron flew it first operational sortie with the F-86F Sabre. The Squadron now flew, in addition to its ground attack role, high-level interdiction and standing patrols along the Yalu River. The cease-fire was signed on 27 July 1953."

Next you got American gift of Sabre jet fighters in March, and war ended in July, that explains why SAAF lost only 4 Sabres out of 22, if the war continued you will lose EVERYTHING to North Korean army soldiers grin grin

You see why I don't bother much nowadays to post weblink sources? I have my facts, and I don't care whatever lies you tell.

Now don't ever come here again to post South African Korean war history again okay? I w.arn y.ou for the last time Mister Mokopa, or else I will once again white-wash your incompetent air force that wasted 76% of your combat aircraft like dumbo domingos grin grin

ok let me look up the United Nations archives.. .. . . . . . . . . . . .

i have looked and findeth nought.. The best i could come up with are multi national operations SA was not leading but were part of. SA's military is a sharp semblance of her foreign policy.... not well tuned or directed.

You don't know SA military history.

Come back with FACTS. OK?
You do not know your own South African history about Korean war, I had to post the battle failures for you above. If you knew it, you would have avoided mentioning it like you avoided Bangui battle with Seleka.

Overall on this forum/topic, Nigerians finally win on facts and figures from page 1 of this thread to this present page.
