Again, why do you think that we would care?

We have Hawks

Hawks are jets

Hawks drop PGMs... even during Apartheid we choose to build expensive jets for COIN CAS instead of pathetically slow prop driven aircraft

and the killer blow:

SAAF operates 60 Pilatus PC-7's

Armament
Hardpoints: 6 × hardpoints for bombs and rockets with a capacity of 1,040 kg (2,294 lb)[31]
Your SAAF Pilatus have not been armed for 20 YEARS and will NEVER be grin grin

NAF has dozens Alpha jets and Albatross jet for trainers. Our Super Mushak will replace the Super Tucano we cancelled in 4th Gen COIN role

Go die of envy....ALL Southies go die ! Oil rich countries like Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Nigeria, all fly Super Mushak, big league !

1. You are getting it as a trainer

2. "4th gen COIN Aircraft" what the fvck are you talking about?

Finally, why would we get slow and low prop driven planes when we have Hawks which can drop PGM's and are super cheap to operate?

Dude, I fail to see how bragging about things you dont have would make you feel good.
Both roles, trainer + COIN that is what the Super Mushak is built for....it's a bad day for you, NAF is flying above SAAF with new aircraft rolling in to rock the skies and contest the Sub Saharan African airspace with ANYBODY !

"Missiles and gunpods of the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex's aircraft

The MFI-395 is fitted with six hardpoints under the wing pylons. The inner two stressed hardpoints can carry up to 150kg each. The remaining four carry rockets, gunpods and Bofor Bantam anti-tank missiles."

And so?

It doesnt list any of the specifications you claim grin
The newspaper is not Nairaland argument forum, it does not intend to make list of any details for argument with fools like you grin

The source quotes the word Reconnaissance and it summarizes it all, and it was used in combat ops for recce. Proved.

NAF now has ...

3 Beechcraft 350i Reconnaissance

2 Beechcraft 350ER ISTAR

2 Diamond D42 ISR

2 ATR-42 MPA/ISTAR/ELINT/secondary role AWACS 407 km range radar

10 F-7 jets

3 JF-17 jets likely with BVR missiles, anti-radar, and anti-ship missiles like the Pakistani air force.

SAAF is dead on arrival....6 pilots for Gripen jet with no combat qualified pilots and no BVR missiles in 10 years tongue tongue

The assement was based on your EXISTING fleet you knob... they took your strike craft into consideration.
At the date of the publication or assessment, NN had not bought Falcon Eye and the new missile crafts on order. It has become an outdated publication, 2016 has changed EVERYTHING about that ranking.

Nice VIP transport... dont you wish you had one of these??
LOL...NO ! Never ! Who wants SAAF aircraft that has analog cockpit ? grin grin

Even the Beechcraft 350i transports that we bought in 2014 have been re-configured for RECONNAISSANCE to join the earlier two Beechcraft 350ER ISTAR we had before.....We are besting you with a whole fleet of modern ISTAR aircraft plus JF-17 Thunder backing them up !

" The recent air operation against the BHTs was commanded by the Chief of the Air Staff, CAS, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar from NAF reconnaissance aircraft, the King Air 350i. The CAS coordinated the various NAF platforms involved in the operation to provide close air support to ground forces, led by the Chief of the Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai, as they advance from Dikwa to Gamboru Ngala."

PAF are not buying the JF17 to replace the F16, otherwise why are the still buying F16s?
I said on procurement, the F-16 was supposed to be their only frontline jet, the JF-17 came up because of USA sanctions and refusals on F-16 upgrade and massive sales inn large numbers. The Pakistani air force chief said that in the video. Are you deaf?

LOL...25 to 40 JF-17 is the NAF decision, even your South African defenceweb knows that.....

"Nigeria, long targeted as a potential customer for the Chinese/Pakistani JF-17 Thunder jet, is close to ordering one or two squadrons , according to reports from Pakistan.

IHS Jane's Defence Weekly quoted a senior Pakistani Ministry of Defence official at the IDEAS 2014 exhibition in Pakistan as saying that Nigeria was close to signing a contract for the jets and that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has finalised its recommendations for the acquisition of 25-40 aircraft

Yes, it does mean that everyone who is linked into LinkZA can "see" it... we did that during the World Cup.

The SAAF will be using various sensors throughout the country to compile the radar picture. As the SAAF will be deploying mobile radar units to only the inland soccer venues, the SA Navy will deploy their frigates to the coastal venues, being Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth. Gagiano says that the SAAF will "utilise the radar pictures from the navy ships for the total air picture around the stadiums close to the coast."
"So all those sensors contribute to a recognised air picture and Gripen is one part of it, the ship radar is one part of it, our mobile radars, static radar, all these sensors are part and parcel of the input into one recognised air picture."

You do not have those capabilities... please dont waste my time.

Welive in a time where INFORMATION is the biggest killer on the battle feild.
Your photos are showing land maps....LOL...Show us images of aircraft in live video via datalink....LOL....how will you see enemy jet when your Gripen has no OLS equipment ? Map is nothing but geographical paper, show us how your artillery will SEE the enemy ! SAAF has no OLS.

Nigerian ATR-42 actually sees real videos... live online real time...and sends the information via inbuilt data link to Central Command Center for forwarding to other platforms on land sea air

Well done on a retard.ed example.

We have data-link which means:

Gripen sees Nigerian patrol
Message INSTANTLY SENT to G6 - including live footage (if it has a recce pod), bearing, GPS co-ords and such
G6 fires
Gripen observes fire and INSTANTLY sends info back to the guns.

You simply cannot do that.

Datalink means our arty, for example, can hit moving targets

Datalink means our Hawks, for example, can fire radar guided missiles.

Datalink mean our Gripen, for example, can extend the radar horizon for the Valour class meaning it can scan and search a larger area

Datalink means our Commanders, can command an entire battlefeild from 1000km away... in real time with the position of each and every vehicle available to him on screen

Datalink means our SF, for example, can jump out of a C130 and have a sub waiting for them, in complete radio silence.

SANDF is deployed on border protection only, and has been extremely successful - 80 000 people apprehended in 6 months alone.

You are merely pathetically trying to deflect from the fact that you dont have a datalink and further that you personally do not understand how they work.
Nigeria has C2 and C5 command and control, so if our aircraft see anything, they communicate with CCC and the CCC relays the message to other platforms. Simple, but a fool like you won't know how 95% of the world's military fights war without tactical data link.

TDL is just faster because it does not go through CCC.....Command and Control Center.

Meanwhile, your Gripen and Hawk jets are getting sh.ot down by NAF JF-17 Thunder jets, your data link is blown to pieces before you use it.
