Mike..ZA:angola border war was conventional war not counter-terrorism war. nigeria has better experience in war with over 70,000 rebels/guerilla/insurgent forces in sierra leone and liberia, so we should be training south africa how to go back to CAR and defeat seleka rebels and how to reduce your casualties when you face M23 Congo rebels inside thick forest/jungle in case the rebels move bases into hiding. the worst kind of war in the world is jungle warfare, and nigeria is world champion for that. get it ? yeah man ! nigerian army infantry....king of the jungle ! 2 Likes

andrewza: did THIZA not post that information. i have corrected you many times, nigerian air force ATR-42 Surveyor maritime patrol aircrafts is the best in africa and one of the best and most sophisticated in the world today. the radar range is NOT 185km, it is 330km and that means the two aircrafts can radar search/track/locate any ship or vessel in all nigerian territorial waters within 10 minutes of flight and they can fly 9 hours each endurance. one can search with its powerful radar, the other comes to replace it in 8 hours, thus nigeria can find all enemy ships at 24 hours round the clock operations. the whole nigerian coastline is just about 800km, we have enough air power to monitor it easily. ATR-42 Surveyor is also armed with a gun/cannon for light combat. nigerian ATR-42 also has very advanced electronic warfare detection, prevention, and analysis capability and also a multi-mission electronic pod. Fixed-Wing Search-and-Rescue in Italy – Equipping Italian Airframes with Italian Systems As responsibility for primary search and rescue in Italy falls to the Guardia Costiera (the Italian Coast Guard), it makes sense that ATR's patrol variant has been chosen for that service. The aircraft – the ATR 42 MP (Maritime Patrol) is fitted with mission systems almost entirely made in Italy by other subsidiaries of Alenia's owner, the state- controlled Finmeccanica SpA. The ATR 42 MP carries belly radar, an E/O turret, a searchlight, plus a "multi-purpose" pod. Visually, the ATR 42 MP Surveyor is distinguished from the airliner by fuselage hardpoints and observation bubble windows. On the starboard fuselage hardpoint is the 80-to-100 candlepower searchlight – behind which is a Galileo EOST-23 E/O turret mounted in the rear of the starboard undercarriage. On the port fuselage hardpoint is the multi-purpose pod. A surface- search radar (with a range of 330 km) is belly-mounted. SAR survival packs are stored inside the cabin aft of the port observation window and launched through the air-openable portside door. Inspector Bongani Sibiya said the boy, aged between three and four, was spotted by two men on Thursday. "The men thought something might have been wrong when they saw him walking around crying.
