zaandrew: I watched it. And zuma head was never below obama. Other than the photo op but zuma is shorter.
y.ou are a b.loody liar, even @Bcraig could not deny it, south african president zuma bowed down to american president obama and even put his two hands on his stomach as he bowed down to his 'master' arriving from america see time 1:40 minute of the 2:30 minute video. stop telling lies again you f.raud, the whole world saw it on television, i was watching the news in my house you liar.

zuma and his wife were so dazed like a human being that saw an angel, they could not even usher their visitors into the house, afraid of an america ? obama has to use his hand to tap and move zuma and wife into their own home. shiiiit !

i am so angry i want to delete this videos i posted.

how does south africa want to lead africa if it has to bow down to everybody from low seleka rebels up to obama ?

i am not interested in nation bashing but i find this a personal insult to all of us africans in america, we expected south africa to show stuff to america and make us proud as black people....i dont care about nairaland conflict/arguments going on...i dont like the disgrace jacob zuma gave we balcks here, people will look down on us as inferior people.

i dont say 'sir' to my own boss in the office and he is an old retired colonel....then to bow down head of an african president in public view of the whole world.... ? ? ? bowing to a much younger american president the age of his own son ? what has south africa become ? will ex-president P.W.Botha bow down to an Obama president ?

i feel like deleting this video tomorrow, so embarrasing to africans worldwide. i miss obasanjo the lion heart !

Y.ou blind or a B.loody L.iar, play that video and see time 1:40 minutes of the 2:30 minute video, television does not lie, i just watched it now on american TV news....Zuma bowed down his head like a servant to his master Obama and put his two hands on his stomach like an inferior human being....south africa is embarrasiing us here, i am between 28-32 years age and i will never bow down to a 51 year old obama like a servant, why ?

dont you know the meaning of that ? the whole south african nation is bowing head down publicly to america ! obasanjo where are you ? people dont fancy you much OBJ but you wont disgrace africa like this !

zuma bows head down to obama....as south africa embarrasses all africans

zuma could not even look into obama's face and drag his hand into south african state house, obama had to take control of the meeting and palm tap everyone's back to ask them to move inside the house, zuma and his wife were just there dazed like a prophet in a trance because they saw a black half oyinbo man in their house arriving from great america ! shiiiit !

this is a diplomatic official meeting, and south africa has embarrassed itself because it met with its big boss america.
jacob zuma displayed real inferiority complex, he bowed down his head to a man 20 years younger than him !

i was so shocked i had to find out zulu culture and was more shocked to find out that it is a younger man that bows to an older man, so 71 year old south african president bowing down his head in his own homeland to a 51 year old american president shows how a south african 'head' works ! its a big shame in my own opinion, i just feel bad about it because i am an african. i am aged between 28 years and 32 years, but if i meet obama in america, i will not and never bow down to him for any reason, i am not inferior to him.

south african government should apologize to we blacks in america, your president zuma just rubbished all of us....people in america are asking us...why did south africa bow down to america in public ?

see reason i sometimes like nigeria's obasanjo, he told american president bush to shut up and not try send instruction to nigeria on any matter because he obasanjo is the age mate of george bush's father !

i was arguing with a some friends about Jf-17 thunder and Chinese J10 fighter jets. which is better? i can't seem to find any battlefield experience on any of them, and it seems Nigeria is going for both or one of them. any reply is welcomed.
Chinese JF-17 Thunder jet has two versions Block I and Block II, both far better than the earlier J-10 Vigoruos Dragon jet if you consider all points...price, maintenance, flexiblilty of equipments, new radar range, anti-ship/maritime capability, and nuclear weapons capability, etc.

however, the JF-17 Block II jet is equal to Gripen jet in all vital aspects, and is cheaper than to buy and maintain, JF-17 at $25m per unit and Gripen at $50m per unit.

another version JF-17 Thunder Block III is expected in year 2016.

nigeria is under heavy pressure from pakistan to buy the JF-17 jet and join the chinese to have all our 3 countries as major users and joint venture partners in manufacturing/marketing.

nigeria also has the option offered by china and pakistan to become a joint venture production partner for the JF-17 jet to be manufactured domestically in nigeria with full technology transfer like the Type 056 stealth missile warship.

nigerian air force is keeping its decision secret till today, as usual naigeria wont talk until necessary, and even then they will only give you tiny piece of information.

JF-17 Thunder Block II version is equal to Gripen jet in every important technical aspect. see the comparison below :

weblink source http://www.chinesedefence.com/forums/pakistan-defence/3010-jf-17-thunder-versus-saab-jas-39-gripen.html

personaly i will advise nigeria to buy JF-17 Thunder and accept the offer of joint manufacturing and marketing partner with pakistan and china. its better to build our own advanced jet fighter at home than to but russian SU-30 flanker jet just for the sake of competition with algeria and uganda. all the sub-saharan african countries with expensive jets are having maintenence problems and putting them in storage or paying through their nose to maintan them, thats not wisdom.

nigeria does not have any threat that requires more than JF-17 Thunder, or are we at war with america ?

watch video of JF-17 Thunder jet flying

new a.ttacks on nigerians living in port nolloth south africa. why hate us ?

Recently, some Nigerians living in South Africa were reported to have been victims of violence allegedly fuelled by xenophobia. Hate crimes against Nigerians living in South Africa are nothing new. Since the dismantling of apartheid, Nigerians and other African nationals living in the country of the Madiba have been the subjects of coordinated xenophobic violence reminiscent of what black South Africans themselves suffered during the apartheid era. The story of this recent violence was not different from previous attacks. Reports of spontaneous assault by some South African members of Port Nolloth community were said to have targeted the Nigerian community living in the area.

American funding/aid to nigerian military is very small compared to the hundreds of F-16 jets and thousands of Armoured Fighting Vehicles and thousands of Tanks and thousands of Artillery USA/America gives to Egypt worth tens of billions of dollars over the past years and over 1,000 times more than what they gave nigeria....and nigeria does not need american aid/funds to be powerful.

Henry120: Nigeria: Defence Headquarters - Most Wanted Insurgents Captured
26 June 2013 , By Misbahu Bashir, Source: Daily Trust
(Photo: vanguard.)
The defence headquarters in Abuja yesterday said that some of the notorious leaders of fleeing insurgents in Borno and Yobe states have been captured.

It also said in a statement that military weapons and explosives were recovered in the insurgents abandoned camps. But Daily Trust could not independently ascertain the identities of those captured.

The Joint Task Force code named "Operation Restore Order" Borno State had declared 19 members of the Boko Haram sect, including its leader, Abubakar Shekau wanted and offered large sums of money as reward to anyone with information that will lead to their arrest.

The JTF offered N50 million reward for information that could lead to the arrest of Shekau. Others included Habibu Yusuf (N25m), Khalid Albamawa (25m), Momodu Bawa (25m), Mohammed Zangina (25m), Abu Sa'ad (10m), Abba Kaka (10m), Abdulmalik Bama (10m), Umar Fulata (10m), Mustapha Ibrahim (10m) and Abubakar Suleiman Abu (10m).

The statement signed by the Director of Information Brigadier General Chris Olukolade said the "members of Defence Headquarters Operational Assessment Team have returned from Yobe and Borno States to brief the Chief of Defence Staff with updates on the situation in the operational area of the Special Forces operating in the North East.

"Some notorious leaders of the terrorists have been captured while some materials recovered in their camps in Sambisa forest have provided useful intelligence for subsequent operations. Various weapons including rockets, and locally fabricated weapon accessories were captured in the forest. Other items include a large number of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) making materials among. Laptops, Mobile Communication equipment (GSM phones), used for shooting and posting online videos, locally made rockets and rocket launchers were among several items seized from the arrested terrorists."

During its visit, the team was shown seized vehicles of different brands and several others destroyed by the terrorists. "Tailoring equipment apparently used for producing fake uniforms were also shown to the team."

According to him, the troops are currently engaged in night and day patrols of the area to dominate the forest and apprehend any terrorist who may be lurking around.
Ah ! Now we see why B.oko H.aaram leader was talking on al-jazeera news to beg for foreign help from other terrorists in Afghanistan, Iraq etc and @Msauza was happily promoting him when actually Nigerian army was deleting their j.ihad fighters like spam emails in yahoo box, click mouse, delete permanently grin

patriot4: Given the fact that you say this with no proofs I beg to disagree. Actually I think what pains you is the fact that you can no longer claim that Nigeria doesn't have modern jets. Given the fact that you now know that Nigeria is flying the same jets as the chinese airforce, so ofcourse you must try to tame it by saying it is less capable jets they sold us, and of course with no proofs. What is your problem, why must you be so jealus ? Why must you be disturbed to see Nigerian progress ?
the south africans dont even want nigeria to have any military at all, they want us to be one big police protected nation. the satellite superiority nigeria has over south africa is still annoying the mandela boys and they will even hate us the more. maybe nigeria should remove all its 3 satellites from space o ! and remove our army built space spy balloons too.

China as a super power is the third most powerful nation in the world after america and russia, and China's airforce has about 1,200 combat aircraft of which about 30% of the number is F-7 Jets at almost 400 units, all still in full service till the near future and are the largest number of aircraft type in China's air force today.

OneQuestion: Because my question is not being answered, let me show what I am trying to find out - I googled "military health in Africa"; and this is what came up - >

I need to know who has the best military health service out there. Your military health units. What do they look like? It's a very simple question.

If it cannot be answered. Fine. Just say so.
seems the african countries dont talk too much about their military medical corps as some of us cannot find much information on them by free internet searches. however, they are usually are a reflection of the civilian medical capabilities of eaach african country, but usually more disciplined and more efficient.

i guess Egypt, South Africa, Nigeria, Algeria should lead the pack and i believe they are able to handle any challenges expected from the battlefield casualty situations.

they all have very good military hospitals in the city, and mobile field hospitals for frontline.

nigerian military medical corps have special battle field ambulances versions of combat armoured vehicles and aircrafts, i guess includes

STEYR APC

COBRA APC

Mi-35 HIND HELICOPTERS

all for either custom built or modular ambulances and mobile hospitals. cobra and hind helicopters are modular platforms.

on the law/legal angle, the universal laws of war and military conduct both in peace time and conflict/engagement are all incoporated in the rule books of nigerian military and usualy enforced when need arises.

some nigerian soldiers have been sentenced by court martial ruling for offences ranging from personal misdemeanour to unprovoked assault in traffic, and nigerians were well infromed of the judgements.

i think south africa needs to do something about the new complaints from its female soldiers of R.ape by their male sodiers, 37 % of the women have been R.aped and justice is often not done.

@drag_on i just pulled out many things from that your post one is this....

"Flag Officer Commanding, WNC, Rear Admiral Ameen Ikioda stated this last Wednesday : visits of different countries’ navies will enabled the Nigerian Navy to key into new skills from the visiting navies with a view to securing the nation’s territorial waters.

The benefits is that it has afforded us opportunities to train with them, look at the modern technology onboard their ship with a view to incorporating such things in our own ships
"

http://www.shipsandports.com.ng/news.php?id=690

Nigerian navy is looking at the modern technology onboard other more advanced world Navies ships with a view to incorporating such things in our own Nigerian ships

the adrmiral is saying the current nigerian navy ships and gunboats have reached the limit of what the navy will put on them, technology and weapons.

people should then imagine what nigeria will do with a modular Type 056 ship that it is building in lagos. can anyone predict the limit today ? those who think it is merely a pirates chasing warship are not interested in acquiring modern knowledge of modern ships and how modern navies like china and america are modularizing the largest number of their new sophisticated warships to fit multi-role functions for both peace time and war time.

china's navy first batch order for Type 056 is 40 ships, and many more coming in more batches. it will be ship that will dominate china's navy because it is modular and can perform multi-role functions. this is the new trend for advanced super power navies especially america and china that have the two biggest navies in the world today.

some intelligent advanced countries are avoiding buying large numbers of single function warships that are not useful in peacetime because they dont fit into any peace time role because they cannot be modularized.

drag_on: If the Nigerian Navy are ordering the corvettes without torps, aam, and AShM and even radar, then its most likely that they intend to incorporate systems from other makers to the ship.Remember that the ship is nothing more than a battle platform esp since the design is modular. The important thing here is that the navy wants warship building capacity for corvet size ships.

“The idea is to convince the political masters to see the need for an offshore patrol vessel which the Navy has often reiterated at a lot of functions”.

He explained that while the first will be constructed in France, the others will be built in Nigeria by the naval dock yard thus making the country a hub for the construction of future OPV in the West Africa sub region...... And if other African countries within the sub region will need to purchase such an OPV class of ship then the construction will be done in our dockyard, which means the Nigerian naval dockyard will now be the hub for the construction of future Offshore Patrol Vessels of that class for navies in the West Africa sub region,”
@drag_on i need 'copyright permission' from you to pull out some un-noticed information from these your recent post and the one on ministry of defence budget. some very interesting answers to old and new questions on this thread, and some new questions we should be asking Britato explain why they are sleeping and nigerian armoury is being filled up with weapons from France.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 4:24pm On Jun 27, 2013
saengine: NI - Nigeria. Its just an abbreviation, its not a specific type. I dare you to Google F-7NI. If it was built in 2008, it's technical details should be all over the net.
your second ball played over the goal post bar is that you said nigerian F-7 jet is a 30 year old aircraft, but the nigerian F-7NI is a 2008 version custom built 5 years ago. you forget your mathematics again 20013-2008 = 5 grin

no international law compels china to post all over the internet any technical details of F-7NI jet specially customized for nigeria. you believe the all whole world's military details must be available on free public internet for south africans usual copy and paste mentality. you think say military na the same with city police ?

you will never find technical details of F-7NI as its a deal between china and nigeria, the UN law requires only arms sales to be made public and china has done that already. no global law requires technical details to be published, and trust nigerian military to keep secrets when they have the chance. nobody outside the top nigerian air force circles and the pilots know F-7NI jet technical details, so the enemy cannot predict it very much, you can only guess...and probably guess wrongly.

your soweto b.rain has p.roblem understanding modular weapons, now we see it having problem understanding customized weapons too. you so d.ull my brother, you really d.ull welu welu grin grin grin

saengine: Then it means you pulled the number 4 straight out of your backside. I was man enough to say I made a mistake yesterday with the picture of the Nigerian helicopter coming out of the Antonov, but you aren't man enough to say you have absolutely no clue how strong your OPV's will be. You have no clue which weapons the Nigerian Navy will choose to buy, and from whom. And you have no idea how many of those weapons they can afford.

Again you have been exposed as a fraud. Claiming your OPV's will be the strongest force on the continent without a shred of proof.
no, i have sharper eyes than you, i pulled that 4 straight out of very reliable internet sources, i read it over and over again so many times because i was shocked by it.

you dont know what i have seen and i am not in a hurry as usual to say it. Type 056 is a modular warship 4 times more d.angerous than a valour frigate, i have my reason with 'a thousand' weblink sources to prove. i am just not in a hurry, and i dont get ordered around by you. i do things at my own time. very simple.

saengine: The F-7 Nigeria uses are the export versions of the Chinese J-7I/II/IIA/IIM series of jets. 30 year old aircraft. Hence I say the Chinese only sold you those missiles because Nigerian generals were dumb enough to buy them.
sorry you misfired again, nigerian F-7 jet versions are two types, F-7NI and FT-7NI versions, specially custom built year 2008 versions, and no other country in the world flies those two versions. post us F-7NI and FT-7NI versions technical details with source to show it is inferior to china's year 2002 J-7G version, i am waiting for you to misfire again as usual. grin

QUOTE :

"In early 2008, Nigeria procured 12 F-7NI fighters and three FT-7NI trainers to replace the existing stock of MiG-21 aircraft. The first batch of F-7s arrived in December 2009"

saengine: Chinese Variants of J-7. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chengdu_J-7#Chinese_variants

Example of a Chinese Variant:

J-7G
an improved variant of the J-7E by CAC, first flew in 2002. Equipped with a new KLJ-6E PD radar, which is reported to be SY-80 radar with SY is short for Shen Ying, meaning Celestial Eagle in Chinese. This radar a Chinese development of the Italian Pointer-2500 ranging radar used for the Q-5M, and the Italian radar itself was a development of Pointer radar, the Italian copy of Israeli Elta EL/M-2001. In comparison to the Italian Grifo series radar on Pakistani F-7s, the SY-80 weighs more at 60 kg, and the range is also shorter, at 30 km. However, the radar does have a feat that the Italian radars do not have: it is fully compatible with helmet-mounted sights (HMS) so that both the radar and HMS can be worked together to control PL-8/9 air-to-air missiles. One 30 mm gun was removed, and a more powerful engine installed

Export Variant. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chengdu_J-7#Export_variants

FT-7 Export version of the JJ-7. It used the domestic Chinese Type-II ejection seat, replacing the Chinese copy of the original Soviet design, because the Soviet design was less reliable. (Nigeria bought 3 I think)

JJ-7 - Dual-seat J-7 trainer and Chinese equivalent of the MiG-21U Mongol-A design. Originally built by Guizhou Aircraft Design Institute and Guizhou Aircraft Company (now Guizhou Aviation Industry Group/GAIC) in 1981. (you are training your pilots in 30 year old aircraft)

The F-7 Nigeria uses are the export versions of the Chinese J-7I/II/IIA/IIM series of jets. 30 year old aircraft.

Hence I say the Chinese only sold you those missiles because Nigerian generals were dumb enough to buy them.
