I go use pidgin. No vex.

True true, time go reach when administrative work go disappear unto say AI go take over. The takeover is already in place.

Tech is the future.

And e dey easy to learn now because na the basics. Soon, it will be expensive because of the demands.

But what I think?
It will always look difficult if we keep calling it technology. Technology is actually that skill everyone has. My dummy thoughts tho.

Did a voice over as an amateur for an Indian couple and they were wanting more. And I am like..with this my yeye voice? Hehe.

Tried virtual assistance..with a faster speed rate of delivering 10k words in a day. Employer asked how I did it. I no tell am. That's my secret...pay me.

Opened a website for a man running a candy shop in 20minutes, designed and functional. Dude was all surprised. First guy charged him $4000 for 3 weeks. I charged $2k for few minutes. You can guess the rest. No bi say I sabi pass the first person, no. But I only learn things with AI these days...it just makes works easier.

For instance, there's a tool to do everything you do in an office for a week in minutes. What's really the need visiting? You snap the paper, it converts to Word. It computes..provides options for charts and many more. Then why do humans suffer?

So I used to draw when I was lil. Like I draw well. But later, I found one tool where you put the original picture and it paints it like hand drawn. What I do, I freelanced with it. You can hardly tell... My secret? Simple tool! Faster delivery!

Everybody has a skill. Try doing the lil graphic design you know...it's money.

Even if na only pidgin you sabi translate to, visit sites and offer to translate their webpages to Nigerian pidgin. They may not pay you at first...yeah, work as an intern. They will add you to translation team. Na CV bi that for next paying jobs.

I'm proud to say I am a contributor and developer at Google. Oya ask me what I did. Na just to do survey and review. Offered to translate too. grin No bi say I kuma do anything self. But that batch that year, I was enlisted as a contributor. But you needed to see how I boosted with “Developer at Google” during my Fiverr days.

Same with Wikipedia. I helped edited some profile. My name enter team from Nigeria that year. grin It was in my freelance CV, trust me.

I'm sorry but I like money... genuine money tho.

Just do it write and yes, boost about it in your CV.

Everyone has a skill.

I know of a dude online who says he has no skill..but he sends potatoes as love notes to emotionally depressed folks. Dude is a freaking millionaire.

I believe every skill is technical. You just need to know to apply it to meet the audience.

So many ways to make money..but it requires consistency.

Did I forget? I think the analogue age hasn't really passed so far we remain a developing country.

So cashing out it easy until tomorrow.

I no dey too webinar again...pay me N100k make I put skill into you. Trust me, e no go affect your normal jobs.
Which of the information security spealty can you teach someone.

PoliticsRe: PO, BAT, ATIKU- Some Of Us Are Undecided. by AgentGoat:
Lindner:
Looking at the three most popular candidates in the forthcoming election, I can say I've never been more confused.

Was discussing with some of my guys and I won't kid myself, it's a decision for the least evil choice among the three. Sorry to say, if these are the best Nigeria has to offer again (as always), we're still in deep shit.

ATIKU
He's been an active participant in the shit we find ourselves as a country today. When that name is mentioned, what I hear is corruption and the continuation of institutionalized corruption and bad governance. He was once a VP, so he has no point to proof. He created part of the problem we're in.

BAT
Too many baggages. The fact that allegations cannot be proven does not mean they are false. It may just mean the perpetrator is to smart to cover his tracks. Plus, this man should just be resting and taking care of his health. Looks too frail. The complexity of our problems require agility. I just don't see how BAT can give even 50% of himself to the job consistently over 4 or 8 years. And I keep hearing about how he looted Lagos state dry.

PO
Looks good on paper but I can't just see any evidence of historical performance except vague statistics. They said he transformed Anambra. If today's Anambra
is the transformed version and the standard for performance, all hope may be lost. And again, I'm weary of the 2015 rhetorics of "never-do-wrong, ultimate solution to all our problems" that made Buhari president. I'm also not just comfortable rooting for the same candidate as IPOBs, their sympathizers and people who didn't wish Nigeria well but all of a sudden are interested in the country. Seem to me there's an ulterior motive (whether PO is aware ot not). I just don't want to help them gain power by contributing my vote- whatever the motive.

Here is my dilemma and some of the real issues to be discussed when campaigning for your candidates instead of the ethno-religious nonsense that is plaguing us as a nation. The standard is so low to the point that our expectations are pathetic. Our best candidates are just a bunch of people from the same stock.
Nice points. As for PO. He's ideas sounds unrealistic. He's just making noise without making the plan to face Nigeria's reality. No realistic reference can be link to his performance in anambra as a governor then. Tinubu lays a good foundation for developments in lagos. He is good leader of south western people. We need BAT or AA at the least. They are big time Thieves. They know how to stimulate our dead economy. They know how to soften this hardship.

EducationRe: Why A Nigerian University Professor Does Not Deserve More Than 200k A Month by AgentGoat: 6:57am On Jul 20, 2022
sukkot:
in civilized countries the rate at which your students pass out and graduate is testament to how great and efficient you are as a lecturer and so a professor in harvard would say I AM A GREAT LECTURER BECAUSE ALL MY STUDENTS PASSED AND GRADUATED. this is the bragging rights of any professor in civilized countries. Meanwhile this failure of a professor in nigerias bragging right is how many students fail his class and drop out of the department and get kicked out of the university. This is the bragging right of this failure who is too brain dead to understand that if most of your students are failing and being kicked out of the university it is a testament of how bad of a lecturer you are. i hereby henceforth submit that all nigerian lecturers should be put on a salary of 200 thousand a month because that is what they deserve. they dont deserve more than that. until they can make sure that all their students graduate and know what they are doing after they graduate

Divide this country and that tribe will go on oblivion..

Everything about them is over hyped and over rated

Niger delta can boast of oil
Same with some parts of east

North can boast of agriculture

East can boast of economy

But that noise making tribe only knows of lagos state ... I only blame other tribes that developed that state .

Yes Lagos state is Yoruba but trust me as a true delta .... Yoruba won't have more than 39% of her people in lagos
Igbos 28%
Others 15%
Then people born on the street that doesn't know their parents may be they are Igbo,Fulani ,Efik, ibibio, urhobo ,ijaw ,bini etc are 8%

But those lousy oil soup urchins will be on nairaland ranting about Lagos that's why their people in that land are wayward .

I just imagine our this dirty one landed himself into serious problem.

I don't even see anything portable about this urchin,

Face not portable
Character no portable
Voice not portable
What else can i say ..

As a DSS officer i wish i will lead the group to arrest this idiot honestly i will waste him and say he ran into lagoon
Mumu you are not a DSS officer. You are putting yourself in trouble like portable.

Happy birthday. Do you have background in computer science?

I'm thinking of settling my foot in IT through bsc computer science specialising in cyber security. As am planning it. I ll be taking online courses too. I don't have background in any computer related field before. Should I forget bsc computer science and focus on learning from YouTubes and online courses and take certifications exams?
What is your advice please.

Great message, Often times, people use these moments as the final nudge they needed to get them to take the leap of faith to make a career pivot. We saw it in 2020 with the hospitality sector and a bunch of others.

Career pivot or not, there are many, many stories of people who were laid off and eventually found their way to something much, much better.
