That's the problem with the quality of followership.

If he had replaced an Ibo man with Hausa, imagine what NL would have been today.

Lets drop our ethnic and religious bias and support who ever is given responsibility to lead.
Rubbish, someone padded budget instead of sacking him, you make him an adviser, to advise you on how to pad? huh huh huh

How sustainable is this project looking at the current economic realities.

we always put the cart before the horse and that's why we are on auto reverse.

why not focus on reviving the economy so that parents can be busy and cater for their children.

States in Nigeria have tried this project and it failed woefully.

Buhari needs a serious economic team. without it all these happening is jamboree.

we are going down for his ineptitude and cluelessness.

by the end of June we will be in full fledged recession if we record another negative ratio in GDP.

PoliticsRe: Senate Summons Ngige Over Threat To Banks.. by agitator: 4:03pm On Jun 08, 2016
Remii:
Impatience everywhere, Ngige did not command banks and other companies not to sack, he said they must discuss and disengage them according to terms of employment. He said govt will not condone summary sack without entitlements. This actually is to protect casual workers.

“If you are going to lay off there is a way to declare redundancy, there is a process. Section 20 of the labour Act says it. You must call the unions and discuss with them. You don’t just treat them as slaves in their own country,” Ngige said.

He also cautioned the managements of telecommunication companies, said to be compiling lists of staff they will retrench without discussing with anybody, against such action.
Na you get the company so dem go come discuss with you who to drop an who go stay, so that the politicians go fight for their relatives to be excluded ba. u try. When dem employ dem discus with anybody? wink wink wink

These guys so called Avengers are not Niger Deltas but they are aggrieved ibos who need aimlessly and selfish sovereignty and freedom. I think youths across nigeria society should rise up against these Monsters that aim to reckless our economy. To me personally, I think Avengers should start bombing the Onitsha bridge and engulf Onitsha market , then I will said they mean business. Avengers are day light enemies of Niger Deltas.

rolchi:
It will take more than 2.5 years to build a PHC/Calabar Rail Line!
Wildrage:
Amaechi should just deliver without making stupid promises of deadlines. How can someone who could not deliver 3km of rail in 8yrs be shamelessly giving deadline of 2yrs for 100km rail
What do you expect from APC? They know their supporters are zombies and will like to hear and mastbate over such news. It keeps them happy in these trying times.

I am still imagining how Calabar-Lagos rail line can be completed within two years. They have not started compensation, preliminary survey works, etc and here is somebody mentioning 2-years delivery period, for their supporters to gloat about.

Several posters on nairaland before the elections analysed why it will not be possible to pay jobless youths N5k, and also provide free feeding for school children but same supporters used their abracadabra economics to explain how it will be possible. Now they are all disappointed but the die-hard supporters always put a spin to explain it.

You can see them dancing on another impossible promise. undecided undecided undecided

The hunger& hardship in pH is getting serious. People can't eat well again, even payment of house rents is hard, making many families to relocate to Batcher or stay in uncompleted buildings. In this picture, you see how families have taken over this abandoned building along aba road.

They will definitely have to protest. No private academic institution will be able to hire the kind of teachers we have in our govt schools. They can hardly speak good English.

A Little poll for nairaland parents...

If your child attends a public school, click like...

If your child attends a private school click share...

I already know which team will take the cake... If our educational system will be revamped, then we need privatization. The only sad fact is that a lot of these 'so-called-teachers' who can't write the national anthem will be out of jobs.

But then again, we have capable graduates who are unemployed, and can fill the void.

Lalasticlala, please do justice to this post

E be like say you get house for that axis, hardworking man.... lol
There are no projects without glitches here and there, not even in the developed world. If the hardworking people visited qualified surveyors or state land planners before building land , then the problem of demolishing unwanted structures would at least abate.
lol grin grin grin

Chief I never reach that level but hoping to one day.

My problem is the money that will be used to compensate which could have been avoided and used for other more important issues. undecided undecided undecided
PropertiesRe: Houses To Be Demolished In Ajah, Eti-osa For The Proposed 4th Mainland Bridge by agitator: 9:15am On May 26, 2016
YourNemesis:
You would be surprised that most of the structures that would be demolished would be illegal.
People build in Nigeria ANYHOW. There is a particular space designated to be between roads and the closest residential building, but they all act like it is some free land where they can build what they like, until time comes for road expansion , they start crying foul.

I am 100% sure most of the houses that will be gone will be those very close to the existing road network, and they would all be low grade housing. This is mostly the fault of the people themselves.

Same thing is currently going on in Abuja people building shanties on designated lands, until BOOM.... the government decides to use the land that they once thought was "free".
I have no problem with shanties and illegal houses which most (95%) are demolised without compensation. My concern is with the ones the built on land the locals/communities/villagers sell to hardworking people. You will agree with me that they are paid compensation, money that would have been put into better use elsewhere. wink wink wink
PropertiesRe: Houses To Be Demolished In Ajah, Eti-osa For The Proposed 4th Mainland Bridge by agitator: 8:52am On May 26, 2016
YourNemesis:
To rebuild you first have to bring down.
The government should relocate affected homes to a purpose built housing estate in Ibeju Lekki
Why is it only in 9ja, government don't plan ahead? instead they let an area develop at the community's ragtag plan and later government demolish to develop.

In my personal opinion that is a waste of money.

Citizen build with personal money, government demolish, pay compensation, then build. Why is government not proactive by planning areas adjacent to developing cities, instead of allowing the place to develop first and plan later.

It is common everywhere in 9ja, i can attest to that in all the southern cities/towns i have visited. angry angry angry
