How Delay By FGN Stopped Ola Aina From Making Super Eagles Debut Against Cameroon

‎Former England youth international Ola Aina won’t be making his senior national team debut for Nigeria when they take on Cameroon today in the World Cup 2018 Qualifiers.

Aina has been in the camp of the Super Eagles ahead of the game against Cameroon in Uyo, despite his international clearance which will make him eligible for Nigeria still pending.

As revealed by coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr his clearance is currently been held up by a document demanded by FIFA before his switch can be made official.

FIFA wants the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) to communicate to them in writing confirming Aina is a Nigerian before he can be cleared to play for Nigeria against Cameroon.

However the letter from the FGN didn’t get to the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on time, hence they couldn't forward to FIFA which means time wasn’t enough for the Players Status Committee of FIFA to sanction his switch.

The NFF, Rohr and Aina are however hopeful that he will be cleared before the return leg tie against Cameroon on Monday in Yaounde, leaving the coach with no option than to stick with Shehu Abdullahi at right back.

Is Victor Moses in trouble?
Chelsea agree deal for Torino's Davide Zappacosta*

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Torino right-back Davide Zappacosta, according to Sky sources.

The 25-year old has agreed to move to Stamford Bridge for a reported £23m, plus add-ons, where he will link up again with Antonio Conte - who selected the defender for Italy in 2016.

Zappacosta, who has made four international appearances for his country, joined Torino from Atalanta in 2015, where he has since featured in 58 Serie A games.

Chelsea boss Conte has been in the market for a right-sided player this summer, with bids being rejected for Arsenal's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Bayern Munich's Rafinha.

In Zappacosta, Conte will have a player renowned for featuring in the right-wing-back position, a role Conte has utilised successfully in his 3-4-3 formation since arriving at Chelsea last summer.
No doubt Zappacosta's arrival will make Moses to sit up.

But don't forget Chelsea are featuring in more competitions this season(4) and there is no way Moses will play all likewise Zappacosta so it's still a win win for the players and club.

Your head is there.....Your lineup is spot on
Ogu would be a preferable choice cos he'd be intimidating to the Lions and he'll provide more cover should Ndidi moves forward.
sure, Ndidi is mobile. But I'll prefer him to stay Disciplined and stick to his main assignment of shielding the defence and Ogu's height should be enough going forward either from corners or freekicks.

Starting Ndidi will give us an advantage since he can also play as CB and incase of an injury at the central defence he can easily be deployed there if there is need to re-enforce our attack without wasting substitution quota.

My major concern going into tomorow's game is our RB.

I 've no worry for our LB. Echiejile has Moses and the two of them will be enough to curtail either of Bassongog or Moukandjo.

But that right back seem to be our weekest link. I hope our Defensive Midfielders(Onazi or Ndidi) will come to the party-they need to be disciplined.

If I were to be Rohr, I'll sit Iheanacho on the bench due to his lack of game time and start Mikel as AMF with Ndidi and Ogu as DMF and CMF respectively. Something like this:

Ezenwa;
Echiejile-Leon-Ekong-Aina;
Ndidi-Ogu;
V.Moses-Mikel-Etebo;
Ighalo.

In Chief Commander Ebenezer Obe's voice,

"Ko sogbon to le da, ko si wa to le wu to le fi taye lorun o o o/2x"

human beings are the most complex creature and are hard to please.

Start Akpeyi-he is jittery
Ezenwa-he is short, lacks confidence and not imposing.
Play Alampasu-he is rookie.
Recall Enyeama- he is old and passed it.

Abeg who then should we put between the sticks. May be we should go and rent De Gea or Courtois.

All we can do is to support anyone the coaching crew decides to field.

He is 35, not particularly old for a goalkeeper. He still has a couple of good years in him. He was Lille number 1 last season. Performed well. I do not see that as a decline. One injury and he is on a decline??
I am suprised o. A player AC Millan initially had plan to sign for Donarunma's replacement has now become so worthless that he will even be lucky to play for an NPFL side.

Chai fear Nigerians. See as de don finish Vincent.

Wetin de sup wit all of una?

Abeg free this man called Forgiveness. He hasn't done anything worth crucifixion.

Everybody is entitle to their opinions. The truth of the matter is that practically everyone here is guilty of 'favouratism/nepotism or whatever you call it and this is often glaring in most line-ups and list we put up here and that's why we'll never agree on certain things.

We all tend to like one player than the other which is because we're humans.

Forgiveness undoing is because he makes is own glaring. We have folks here who root for Garba Manu's boys and left to them they should be form the bulk of the present SEs, they'll even go all the way to defend them, others anglo-nigerians anything it is sub quality to them and so on. We all have our preferences-it is as simple as that.

If they refuse to change their opinions or perception about some issues and you deem it fit not to see their post through their very own lenses there is nothing bad in skipping such posts or take them lightly and just let it past.

Football is an Emotional sports. Often times we all allow our emotions to control our sense of judgements both on and off the field-abeg we ain't some bunch of Robots.

TheGoodJoe just need to say he has a new position at least for now. At least he has a stronger character than some of us that will stick to our argument come rain come sunshine. that's how we roll here no hard feelings. Just trying to pull his legs.
