Before you say “I do”, it’s good to know exactly what you’re getting yourself into! So will the stars align for you and your hubby-to-be? Aries (March 21-April 19) Lucky for you, with an Aries, there will never be a dull moment, as they’re fun loving, wild and exciting to be around, notes astrologer and psychic medium Suzie Kerr Wright. On the contrary, they tend to be set in their own ways and can also be a bit selfish and bossy too, points out astrologer Joan Porte. Taurus (April 20-May 20) The good news? He’s loyal, hard working and will be home every night at the same time, says Wright. “He’s a solid upstanding guy that people can count on.” Oh, and don’t be surprised if he enjoys life’s little luxuries as well. The downside? “He’ll expect you to be just as devoted and reliable so free spirits need not apply.” In other words, he can be a bit boring. Gemini (May 21-June 20) This guy was born with the gift of gab, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing, according to Porte. “He’s a great conversationalist, interesting and smart. However, he’s always talking and may have a tough time listening to you in return.” He likes variety and can be a commitment-phobe. Cancer (June 21-July 22) Everyone loves a big teddy bear and this guy is quite the nurturer! He’s cuddly, loves his mother (well, in most cases… some of them hate their moms) and he understands your feelings too. As for cons, he has high expectations and wants you to be just like his mom. “He can also be moodier than you when you’re PMS-ing!” Leo (July 23-August 22) There’s never a dull moment with a Leo! He’s a master entertainer, sparkling, dynamic and the life of the party always. He’s a blast to be around. But, he can get pouty when he’s not the center of attention and can be hot headed and extremely vain. “Make sure you have a double mirror in your bathroom when you live with a Leo or you’ll never get to use it.” Virgo (August 23-September 22) If you’re into organization, especially when it comes to finances, then Virgo is definitely your man. He’s dedicated, put together and really has his feet on the ground, notes Porte. Nevertheless, he can become a bit OCD about the whole organizing thing and be too ruled by routine. “He’s extremely picky and may lack self-confidence.” He is health-conscious and intelligent though. Libra (September 23-October 22) He’s sociable, pleasant to be around, romantic and sweet, not just to you but to everyone he encounters, reveals Wright. On the flipside, Libras often can’t make up their mind and are notorious players! “Be ready to fight off other women even if he’s not an out and out cheater; he charms everyone.” Scorpio (October 23-November 21) According to Wright, Scorpios are loyal, deeply passionate, straightforward and determined too. They’re also amazing in bed, but you probably knew this already! Their downfalls? “They always seem to have a hidden agenda and can keep secrets almost too well. Their words can cut like a knife.” Sagittarius (November 22-December21) They’re always up for adventure and are world travelers by nature, notes Porte. Sagittarius also has a lot going on upstairs and are intelligent dudes. Unfortunately, sometimes you just can’t win with them, as they hate to lose arguments. “They can be know-it-alls and kind of tactless too.” Capricorn (December 22-January 19) He’s hard working and determined to succeed, making him a great provider at home, says Wright. “He’s a very loyal sign, strong willed and independent as well.” But he can be extremely stubborn, sometimes controlling and a bit detached emotionally so watch out for that. Aquarius (January 20-February 18) He’s young at heart, always up for a good time (both in the bedroom and out of it), very innovative and always seeks out the special aspects of life, according to Porte. The cons? He’s not all that dependable and can be somewhat rebellious. “He likes to shake things up just for the fun of it.” Proudly Cancer (July3rd) |
Bedwetting (also known as sleep enuresis and urinary incontinence) is a fairly common condition in young children and is seen as a sign of an immature, developing bladder. It is estimated that 15% of children over three, and 10% over five wet the bed occasionally. In fact, most doctors don't consider bedwetting in children to be a sign of a problem unless the child is older than seven years old, or the child has begun wetting the bed again after six months of maintaining overnight bladder control. However, when adults wet the bed it is often an indication of an underlying illness, disease, or a symptom of other untreated medical conditions. For adults, wetting the bed can not only be a devastatingly embarrassing condition, but it is often a sign of other medical troubles. If you're an adult who frequently wets the bed, it's a good idea to discuss your symptoms with your primary care provider to find the root cause of your problem. Here is a list of common causes of sleep enuresis: Causes of adult bedwetting 1)Genetics: One of the first places to look for causes of urinary incontinence is whether there is a family history of bedwetting. 2)Urinary tract infection (UTI) 3)Small bladder Diabetes Kidney disease 4)Enlarged prostate gland 5)Prostate cancer 6)Bladder cancer Side effects of medications: >Neurological disorders >Stress >Anxiety >Fear >Other psychological issues e.t.c... Treatments for sleep enuresis: 1)Set fluid intake limitations: Reduce or cut out caffeine and alcohol from diet Make urinating a routine. 2)Set a schedule to make sure to urinate every one to two hours during the day 3)Void bladder: before bedtime even when you don't quite feel the need to go Set a night time bathroom alarm to urinate in the middle of the night 4)Protect your bed with special mattress covers 5)Wear absorbent briefs during the night /END/ Cc: lalasticlala Mydd44 Fynestboi Mukina2 Olawalebabs Richiez

The Federal Government says it will create jobs for over 758,500 youths across the country under the Youth Employment in Agriculture Programme (YEAP) to boost agricultural productivity. Mrs Karima Babangida, the National Programme Coordinator said this on Tuesday in Katsina during the inauguration of Katsina State YEAP Steering Committee. Represented by Mr Suleiman Aliyu, Babangida said that the three-year programme was supported by the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). Babangida said that 740,000 jobs would be ‘market- oriented’ for young agricultural producers, while the remaining 18,500 jobs were reserved for university graduates, ‘agropreneurs’ across the nation. “Under the market-oriented, 20,000 youths will be selected from each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). “500 graduates will also benefit from the programme in each state of the federation,” she said. The coordinator revealed that 12 states were selected for the first phase of the programme, two from each of the six geo-political zones. Babangida explained that the programme was aimed at providing employment to teeming youths through agricultural enterprises. Mr Rabe Isa, who spoke on behalf of FAO, urged the committee members to dedicate themselves toward achieving the set goal. He said that Katsina was also selected for the study of grazing reserves and stock routes being conducted with the aim of addressing farmers/herdsmen clash. In his remarks, the state deputy governor, Alhaji Mannir Yakubu said that the steering committee’s terms of reference would assist stakeholders to design and implement value chain development plans and promote young agro-entrepreneurs. He said other terms of reference include the signing of contracts with service providers and beneficiaries, monitor the development of agro-entrepreneurs and commodity chains, among others. Yakubu said the state government would continue to accord agriculture a top priority so as to address unemployment, diversify the economy and guarantee food security. The 32-member steering committee would be headed by the deputy governor, who is also the commissioner for agriculture.

A fracture is a broken bone. A bone may be completely fractured or partially fractured in any number of ways (crosswise, lengthwise, in multiple pieces). Types of Fractures Bones are rigid, but they do bend or "give" somewhat when an outside force is applied. However, if the force is too great, the bones will break, just as a plastic ruler breaks when it is bent too far. The severity of a fracture usually depends on the force that caused the break. If the bone's breaking point has been exceeded only slightly, then the bone may crack rather than break all the way through. If the force is extreme, such as in an automobile crash or a gunshot, the bone may shatter. If the bone breaks in such a way that bone fragments stick out through the skin, or a wound penetrates down to the broken bone, the fracture is called an "open" fracture. This type of fracture is particularly serious because once the skin is broken, infection in both the wound and the bone can occur. Common types of fractures include: 1) Stable fracture: The broken ends of the bone line up and are barely out of place. 2)Compound fracture: The skin may be pierced by the bone or by a blow that breaks the skin at the time of the fracture. The bone may or may not be visible in the wound. 3)Transverse fracture: This type of fracture has a horizontal fracture line. 4)Oblique fracture: This type of fracture has an angled pattern. 5)Comminuted fracture: In this type of fracture, the bone shatters into three or more pieces. Causes:: The most common causes of fractures are: 1)Trauma: A fall, a motor vehicle accident, or a tackle during a football game can all result in fractures. 2)Osteoporosis: This disorder weakens bones and makes them more likely to break. 3)Overuse: Repetitive motion can tire muscles and place more force on bone. This can result in stress fractures. Stress fractures are more common in athletes. Symptoms Many fractures are very painful and may prevent you from moving the injured area. Other common symptoms include: Swelling and tenderness around the injury Bruising Deformity — a limb may look "out of place" or a part of the bone may puncture through the skin Treatment All forms of treatment of broken bones follow one basic rule: the broken pieces must be put back into position and prevented from moving out of place until they are healed. In many cases, the doctor will restore parts of a broken bone back to the original position. The technical term for this process is "reduction." Broken bone ends heal by "knitting" back together with new bone being formed around the edge of the broken parts. Surgery is sometimes required to treat a fracture. The type of treatment required depends on the severity of the break, whether it is "open" or "closed," and the specific bone involved. For example, a broken bone in the spine (vertebra) is treated differently from a broken leg bone or a broken hip. Doctors use a variety of treatments to treat fractures: 1)Cast Immobilization: A plaster or fiberglass cast is the most common type of fracture treatment, because most broken bones can heal successfully once they have been repositioned and a cast has been applied to keep the broken ends in proper position while they heal. 2)Functional Cast or Brace: The cast or brace allows limited or "controlled" movement of nearby joints. This treatment is desirable for some, but not all, fractures. 3)Traction: Traction is usually used to align a bone or bones by a gentle, steady pulling action. 4)External Fixation: In this type of operation, metal pins or screws are placed into the broken bone above and below the fracture site. The pins or screws are connected to a metal bar outside the skin. This device is a stabilizing frame that holds the bones in the proper position while they heal. In cases where the skin and other soft tissues around the fracture are badly damaged, an external fixator may be applied until surgery can be tolerated. 5)Open Reduction and Internal Fixation: During this operation, the bone fragments are first repositioned (reduced) in their normal alignment, and then held together with special screws or by attaching metal plates to the outer surface of the bone. The fragments may also be held together by inserting rods down through the marrow space in the center of the bone. Recovery Fractures take several weeks to several months to heal, depending on the extent of the injury and how well you follow your doctor's advice. Pain usually stops long before the fracture is solid enough to handle the stresses of normal activity. Even after your cast or brace is removed, you may need to continue limiting your movement until the bone is solid enough for normal activity. During your recovery you will likely lose muscle strength in the injured area. Specific exercises will help you restore normal muscle strength, joint motion, and flexibility. Prevention Proper diet and exercise may help in preventing some fractures. A diet rich in calcium and Vitamin D will promote bone strength. Weightbearing exercise also helps keep bones strong.

Five years ago I had appendicitis and needed to have the offending organ removed. Now, as it stands, I am not afraid of hospitals. Kinda enjoy them, in fact. I had the type of health insurance that some label "Cadillac Health Insurance" (which, if you know American health care, is the difference between "the best in the world" and "Sub-Saharan Africa" level of service), so that part was not on my mind. But what was bothering me was the throbbing in my belly and the early onset of severe (and what I claimed was quite fatal) ennui. I rejected repeated offers of pain meds, not on some lofty ethical grounds, but on the belief that I was going to pay attention to everything they wanted to do to me. (I made sure to write all over my limbs with permanent marker: REMOVE THE APPENDIX, NOT THIS LIMB). Well, eventually, I got to the point of boredom that I accepted the pain meds. The nurse who was- very stereotypical, really funny sassy black lady. We had a blast and she brought me "some good shit". No effing kidding. She gave me a sizable dose of Dilaudid which--if you don't know--is Heroines younger, sluttier, sassier sister. It was like a Mouth Gig all over my body. Over the next 24 hours after surgery (I had to have my junk shaved by a rather attractive orderly, which was both embarrassing and, well, sort of fun, especially considering I was higher than Courtney Love), I faked being in more pain than I was actually in. In fact, I can state clearly that I never once felt even the slightest discomfort, even as the Dilaudid was wearing off. But, I played the game and got more. My parents, upon visiting me around 10pm were warned quickly by me: "Uh, guys, say what you have to say, 'cause in 15 minutes, the pain meds come and I'm not gonna care about what you have to say." Yeah. If it was available in doggy bags, I'd be dead in some ditch within a week. I really don't have any. Truthfully. My lack of fear of, and interest in, hospitals, and fortune of always having well funded care, have alleviated me of any distasteful situations to tell. I'm really picking my brain and I can't think of any. Even when my mom died, the situation was horrible (I had a catheter inserted in my dick which was embarrassing and painful), but the people were really fantastic. So, that's about it Everything else has been pretty good. And don't think that I haven't had my share of incidents, because I was a clumsy kid. But, all in all, the experiences at the hospital were relatively peaceful. SOURCE: not_ur_biz.com /END/... Lets have more experiences people!!

Nigeria is blessed with a lot of Christian pastors. Many are blessed with large congregation and have branches throughout the globe. Christianity is a major religion in Nigeria. According to a recent Pew study conducted in 2015, Christians form the majority of the nation, comprising 79.8% of the population. Christians are dominant in the southern and central region in Nigeria. Nigeria has the largest Christian population compared to any country with Christians in Africa with more than 90 million persons in Nigeria belonging to the church with various denominations. They are: 12) Matthew Ashimolowo (born 17 March 1952) is a Nigerian clergyman, the Senior Pastor of Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) in London. His Winning Ways programme is aired daily on Premier Radio (London) and Spirit FM (Amsterdam) and on television in Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, FaithAfrica (DSTV 341) , the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) and Europe on The God Channel and Inspirational Network. Personal life Ashimolowo converted to Christianity from Islam at the age of 20 after the death of his father before enrolling with a Bible school. Forbes estimated Ashimolowo's net worth is at between $6-10 million. KICC annual accounts confirmed that he earns an annual salary of £100,000 but the majority of his wealth comes from the sale of Christian literature and documentaries from his media company, Matthew Ashimolowo media. This is consistent with the fact that Ashimolowo subscribes to and teaches success in the vein of Prosperity theology, which in most respects is considered controversial. you are allowed to put your number 10, 9, 8,7,6,5,4,..... I continue with 3, 2, 1.. 3) Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya was born over 50 years ago to Mr. And Mrs. Olukoya, a retired police officer and a petty trader respectively. Dr. Olukoya had his primary education at Saint John's CAC Primary School, Akure, Ondo State and later moved to Lagos to complete this at Saint Judes Primary School, Ebute Metta. In both institutions, he excelled. He proceeded to Methodist Boys High School, Lagos, where he finished with Grade One Distinction and was the best student of his set. Indeed, this provided a leadway of the academic exploits which Dr. Olukoya eventually unleashed. In his quest for higher education, he preceded to the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG) where he studied Micro-Biology and came out with a first class degree honors, the first from the department since the university was established in 1962. Dr Daniel Kolawole Olukoya's Profile Upon return to Nigeria after the completion of his PhD, Dr. Olukoya continued to worship the Almighty God and was engaged in delivering of seminars, preaching, singing, among others, until God gave him the blue print and the vision of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, which took off with some 24 people in his sitting room in Yaba, Lagos in 1989. Against the background of the mighty things God was doing, the church moved from Dr. Olukoya's sitting room to a hall at No 60, Old Yaba Road, Lagos. This, indeed, became insufficient as worshippers flooded major roads resulting in traffic jams following the teeming population that besieged the church. MFM later moved to its present headquarters at UNILAG second gate in 1994. Since its establishment by God through Dr. Olukoya, MFM has experienced significant demographic spread in the last one and half decades. From its international Headquarters, the church oversees its branches located within and outside Nigeria in geo-cultural milieu. MFM has thousands of branches spread across Nigeria, Africa, Asia, Europe. A huge percentage of branches are also located in the United States, the United Kingdom and Ireland. Despite its less than two decades of existence, MFM, which is noted for its unique and powerful prayer style, has enveloped the nation like a colossus and the church's headquarters is the largest single congregation in Africa, with attendance of over 120,000 in single meetings. 2) David O. Oyedepo (born September 27, 1954) is a Nigerian Christian author, preacher, the founder and presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church World Wide, also known as Winners' Chapel, and its affiliated international churches known as Winners Chapel International, with headquarters in Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. Oyedepo is the senior pastor of Faith Tabernacle, a 50,000 seat church auditorium, reported to be the largest church auditorium in the world by the Guinness Book of Records. The Winners' Chapel network of churches is located in over 300 cities, in all states of Nigeria, as well as, in several cities in 45 African nations, Dubai, the United Kingdom and the United States. Oyedepo has been seen as one of the pioneers of the Christian charismatic movement in Africa and has been referred to as one of the most powerful preachers in Nigeria. He is the Chancellor of Covenant University and Landmark University . He was named in 2011 by Forbes magazine as being the richest pastor in Nigeria. Oyedepo claimed to have received a mandate from God through an 18-hour vision in May 1981, to liberate the world from all oppression of the devil through the preaching of the word of faith. This is the inaugural vision that led to the founding of the Living Faith Church World Wide (LFCWW), first called Liberation Faith Hour Ministries, in 1981. Two years later, on September 17, 1983, Pastor Enoch Adeboye , General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, ordained David and his wife, Florence Abiola Akano (known as Faith Abiola Oyedepo) to become pastors and officially commissioned the new church. Five years later, Oyedepo was ordained as Bishop. Living Faith Church (AKA Winners Chapel) started in Kaduna but moved to Lagos, the former capital of Nigeria in July 1989, to start a new branch of the church after Oyedepo claimed to have received instructions from God to reach out to the people of Lagos. Oyedepo is the wealthiest preacher in Nigeria with a net worth of over USD $150 million. The church owns four private jets and several buildings around the world, including London and the United States. Oyedepo is an author and publisher who has written over 70 titles apart from periodicals. He is the Chairman/Publisher of Dominion Publishing House (DPH), a publishing arm of the ministry. DPH has over 4 million prints in circulation to date. Through Oyedepo Covenant University, Faith Academy and Kingdom Heritage Schools have been established to equip the youth for global impact. The construction of a third university named Crown University is already underway, located in Calabar, Cross Rivers, Nigeria. 1) Pastor. E. A. Adeboye Enoch Adeboye is a famous Nigerian pastor who rose to national and eventually international prominence upon being appointed as the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Hitherto unknown to the public at large, he began his journey to fame at RCCG where he initially translated the sermons of its then Pastor and founder, Rev. Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi, from Yoruba into English. With his undying devotion towards the Lord and his commitment towards helping the common man understand the nuances of Christianity, he helped to expand the church which now has branches in over a hundred countries. Prior to his involvement with the church he had been a lecturer in mathematics at the universities of Lagos and Ilorin. Even though he had always known that God existed in heaven, it was not until he was a young man that he actually realized the truth about God. He had a revelation in 1973 and received the Lord Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour. Since then he has dedicated his life fully to the service of God. As a born-again Christian he realized that the purpose of his life was to spread the teachings of Christianity and thus he eventually gave up his prestigious university position to become a full-time preacher. Major Works As the General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), he was instrumental in its vast expansion. The church, which was practically unknown when he took over, now has its branches in over a 100 countries all over the world including more than 14,000 in Nigeria. He was awarded the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the Nigerian President in 2008. In 2009 he was named one of ‘The World’s Fifty Most Powerful People’ by Newsweek Magazine (USA). He is the recipient of several honorary degrees including an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Lagos and an honorary doctorate degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He was presented with the Spiritual Pillar of Nigerian Sports, a National Sports Honor in 2010. Redeemed church anchors several programmes throughout the year and many are blessed.

Designed from the ground up by the Secret Service, President Barack Obama's $1.5 million "Cadillac One," aka "The Beast," is a moving fortress impenetrable by bullets and bombs. The president has 12 identical limos in rotation and, when not in use, they're parked in the basement of the Secret Service's headquarters and are under 24-hour surveillance, AutoWeek reports. At least two cars travel with the president wherever he goes, and they get a humble 3.7 miles to the gallon. The president's motorcade is surrounded with up to 45 other armed vehicles, including an identical decoy, local police, a mobile communications center, more armed vehicles, and an ambulance. The cars are manufactured by General Motors in Detroit and have a gasoline V8 engine. The top speed and weight of each car is classified, as is the bulletproof technology used in the windows.

No matter how careful we are, we can’t always escape the increasing number of diseases lurking in our daily lives in Nigeria, below are the most common of such diseases and how they can be effectively prevented: 1. Malaria: Malaria is leading cause of morbidity and mortality in our country, this disease is caused by plasmodium species whose vector is the anopheles mosquito; it is usually transmitted by mosquito bites. Malaria can be prevented by eradicating mosquitoes or preventing bites, simple ways to do this include >Keeping a clean environment; clear drainages and gutters >Cut down grasses and clear swamps around your house >Sleep under a mosquito net(preferably the treated ones) >Spray your room with good insecticides twice weekly >Window nets have been found to be helpful in preventing bites >Mosquitoes are attracted by sweat, so it is essentially to take a bath before going to bed and making your bedroom cool >See your physician once you notice this symptoms ( fever, joints pain, headache, bitter taste in the mouth and fatigue) 2. Common cold or Flu: Common cold as the name depicts is everywhere, it is also known as nasopharyngitis or acute coryza is a viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory tract which affects the nose primarily causing sneezing, sore throat, cough and runny nose, it is usually self-resolving after about seven to ten days. The only possible ways to reduce the spread of the viruses are physical measures such as hand washing, reducing contact with anyone with symptoms and wearing of masks amongst health workers 3. HIV/AIDS : Human immunodeficiency virus is a slowly replicating retrovirus that cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome; an infectious disease in which progressive decline and failure of the human immune system leads to life threatening opportunistic infections and cancer. It can be prevented by the following practice. >Proper use of condom during sexual intercourse >Proper screening of blood before transfusion >Avoid sharing share objects >Safe injection practices >Proper circumcision of male children >Post exposure prophylaxis to health workers and rape victims 4. Pelvic Inflammatory disease: This is a term for inflammation of the uterus, fallopian tubes and/or ovaries as it may progress and lead to infertility; it is usually caused by bacteria, fungal or parasites, route of spread is usually via sexual intercourse or via post abortal sepsis and intrauterine device insertion. If untreated it could lead to infertility or ectopic pregnancy. Below are ways to prevent PID >Abstinence /proper human sexual behaviour >Use of barrier methods such as condoms or diaphragm >Avoid vaginal douching >Good personal hygiene; never wear a panties twice >Periodic pelvic examination and STI testing to screen for symptomless PID >See a gynaecologist once you notice any abnormal vaginal discharge >Treating partners to prevent reinfection or spread to other people 5. Hypertension: This is also known as high blood pressure and it simply means that the blood pressures in the arteries are elevated and this requires the heart to work harder than normal to circulate blood through the vessels. Blood pressure is summarised by two measures systolic(when the heart contracts) and diastolic( when the cardiac muscles are relaxed).High blood pressure is present when the pressure is 140/90mmHg and above, this is a major risk factor for stroke, heart failure, myocardial infarction and chronic kidney disease. This disease can be prevented by the following > Maintain normal body weight for adults; body mass index of 20-25kg/m2 >Reduce dietary salt intake >Engage in regular aerobic exercise daily >Limit alcohol consumption >Eat lots of fruits and vegetables 6. Acute diarrhoea: Diarrhoea is very common water and food-borne disease. Caused by a wide range of enteric organism, symptoms include passage of loose stools, fever, abdominal cramps and sometimes vomiting. The ways to prevent diarrhoea include > Avoid consumption of uncovered foods such as fruits cut and exposed >Drink only potable water >Avoid eating foods sold by food vendors and bukas >Wash your hands before eating >Wash your hand after you use the toilet..... /END/ |
